Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The actual issue of the wrong estimate being given to the movers and the estimate with all the inventory items being given to us has not been addressedWe have tried to speak with the manager multiple times regarding this issueStephanie said that a mistake was made, and that the cubic feet for the inventory items that were on our list (not the other list) were not included in the cost estimateThis was our issue, they gave us an inventory list but failed to calculate the cubic feet for all the items which caused the price to go upSince this was a mistake on their end, it should not cost us extraWe should have been given a clear estimate with all the cubic feet for each inventory item counted Ari said that a queen bed includes a headboard, mattress, box spring, & bed frameStephanie said that a queen bed only includes a mattress and bed frameHow do we get an accurate estimate if the workers convey different information? If the movers have a different inventory list than ours upon arrival there is already a problem My father in law has worked with several companies and never had this issue, he definitely did not understand where the extra $is coming from, and Stephanie just said the same thing over and over instead of helping to rectify the issue We asked for the manager multiple times, we were hung up on, and treated extremely unprofessionallyWhen we would call back, no one would answerOur sales person Ari has not responded to any emails or callsAfter being hung up on times & treated extremely unprofessionally, one curse word was used and then apologized for No one has apologized for the internal mix up, and no one has offered to work with us I have attached the inventory list that I was given, detailing the headboard, mattress, and box spring that was left out of the movers inventory listI told Ari that the headboard was metal so she listed it as metal bed frame(An excuse was made by Stephanie that when something is in brackets it is not counted on the cubic feet, that Ari should have listed it in bullet pointsOf course, me as the customer does not know that, and that is something any professional moving company should make sure to do thoroughly before making a sale)I had also told Ari that the dresser came with a small mirror, and she said that a "dresser" means a mirror comes with it, so it doesn't need to be detailed on the listMy Father in Law was on the phone as well and can attest to thatI had a very small foot rest ottoman that I asked the movers to put in only if there was extra room, I offered to take it out when they increased the price, along with my Christmas tree (that was on the inventory list) but they said that it doesn't make a difference, its still going to be $extra In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

They were professional, outgoing, and funny, making the crappy chore of moving easy and as enjoyable as anyone can make moving

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] It is understood about the additional items and the price of the contract I signed My point is their initial offer was $at my first estimateAll of this was not a huge deal if everything else went okAs far as reassembly, they did NOT reassemble most of everything because they got into an argument, the police showed up and they were asked to leave! Do I need to get a copy of the police report? Thank you, [redacted] In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted]

I am taking the time to write a review after receiving great support from a customer service representative, Tatiana, at Beacon Moving and StorageWhile I have not yet received services (and hope that they are as great as my up front experience was!) I wanted to take a moment to recognize the professionalism, kindness and follow-through of the representative that I worked with to schedule my moveShe was helpful, flexible, willing to work with me (and her supervisor, Joe) to ensure that the move operations met the specific needs I had and to ensure that they fell within the price range that I had Moving is never easy and it's helpful to have a customer service representative that is easy to work with, friendly and doesn't make you feel like you're throwing away the little bit of money you have to spend on a move (when you have to make a multi-state move by yourself and need the help!)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] Yes the business contacted me as to the truck problem they were having and yes they were to make arrangements for another truck, which any good business should do, as stated they were to be there 72014, I could have lived with, on I was contacted that it was going to be 082014, which I notified them on that I could not live with that and I would have to make other arrangements, and to refund my deposit, I too have not escaped additional expenses because of this situation In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because I’m going to start by saying excuse me for my many errors in my last statementI would like to say, I carry myself as a professional at all times because of my Criminal Justice career; so in that being said I have no need to threaten anyone nor lie about being taking avenge of and never provided professional servicesI am the customer and Beacon or van line are the business that provides services to customersIf I see something that isn’t correct or feel uneasy about your services I do have the right to report youAnd as far as me writing the check it isn’t a CRIME to write a check and later stopping it because the business has fraudulent paperwork or like I stated before uneasy about somethingAnd the only crime that was made was Beacon holding my belongings knowing they were paid for the job already moving it from [redacted] to [redacted] **; you don’t do things like that to people because they feel uneasy about your servicesI found out later that the $they were asking for was nothing I had to negotiate the $down to $to get my belongings and when I asked them what the payment was for they gonna tell me and my wife because when didn’t complete the jobMy moving date was March *, So, before anything I made a down payment to lock my move in which was $When the movers come everything seemed okay at first until I saw the paperwork with two different business NAMES the driver was all over the place seemed nervous, but that’s my opinionI went and seat to think and called the company to found out when my thinks will be delivered [redacted] (the [redacted] said very nasty if I had $dollars then my stuff will be delivered until then it take seven to ten business day for deliveryI asked him why will it take seven to ten business days (he said this is a long distance drive), I later found out they needed more shipments from other customers to make the on a inch truck for the moveAfter I stopped payment for the check with my bank I called them (no answer) called again and again no answer so I left a message stating why I stop it and that Monday I called them again they never returned my call and paid a payment of $totaling $During the time of me locking the second payment I stated I wanted my things delivered on that Friday; their dispatcher said someone will call you on Wednesday (no never called) Friday came and went and by this time I told them I was coming to get my things because I had to wait until they got more deliver order in to make my deliver on FridayBy this time I made two trips to [redacted] and no one had no clue who I was when I showed up, these people were very nasty and threaten to throw my belongings away if they didn’t get their moneyI even went to Linden Police department and they told me this is a civil matterAll I went is my money back ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Once again, this response from Beacon Moving/USA Van Lines is merely another attempt at deflecting the true nature of our complaints. They have yet to address any of the other major complaints we have. Nothing regarding their gross misconduct for customer service; nothing about the fact that their "sales" person used tactics to gain the sale in providing information that turned out to be the opposite of how we were charged after pick-up; nothing about how their employee *** in the dispatch department, yelled at my wife on the phone demanding cash the next morning for us to have our belongings back; nothing about why we had an extensive list of damaged items; nothing about how they charged us for 'cubic feet' pricing when there is no indication of total cubic feet used on the truck; nothing about how their delivery crew completely disregarded the inventory list in never once referring to it while bringing boxes in the home; nothing about why our calls, messages and emails were completely ignored by everyone in the company for one entire week after piand never once even attempting to explain why we were given a pricing method stating three separate times that they would weight their truck at an official weighing station before and after our total shipment was loaded.
As I've already stated, I already sent the complete details of our complaints, list of damaged items and pictures to the email address they provided initially and again in this latest response. That was sent on July *** and again on July ***. I also called and left a message for *** stating that I sent the email twice already with ZERO response from him or anyone at the company. We had no delivery failure messages so these two emails were received by them. Beacon Moving is trying to focus this complaint on how many stickers their picrew placed on items they took on the truck. Their crew and *** have stated the total number of items but they increased that inventory list by doing things like taking apart a post bed and placing item count stickers on the four posts, headboard and footboard. Six items right there (according to their total item count method) but this was listed on our original estimate to the sales person. There are several other such instances. I only state this because THEY are focused on "look at how many items we took on pick-up" in trying to justify their pricing.
ONCE AGAIN....nothing about how they are even able to charge us a cubic foot pricing method when these shipping documents never state actual cubic feet used for our shipment. The truck they arrived in on piday already had other furniture from additional customer(s). *** likes referring to these documents apparently in trying to justify their actions so maybe he would like to explain that one simple fact on cubic foot pricing for our shipment.
Trying to state that they had no idea of any damages or trouble with our move is a ridiculous statement. Asking me to resend an email with details and pictures that I've already sent twice is a waste of my time. Maybe they can actually put more effort into resolving our complaints/concerns by doing their own research and review the entire move with all the employees involved. Well, I guess that would be done with any respectable company that wishes to actually provide great customer service so they can continue to stay in business. Apparently, this company only wishes to do have one-time customers that use them for moving services unaware of how unprofessional they are. If Beacon says they disagree with being unprofessional then do some actual work to investigate, review and resolve our complaints/concerns. That would be a refreshing change from Beacon Moving.
In addition to this complaint with the Revdex.com, I have also registered a formal complaint with the Federal Dept of Transportation who has all the details now and investigating this as well. My conversation with that agency provided some very enlightening information regarding this moving company, actions that could be taken and how we can further continue our complaint process
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above

Beacon Moving and Storage moved us three days ago from Jacksonville to MiamiJohn and his crew showed up on time and worked very hardCarefully protected our stuff and loaded the truck wellThey wrapped up all the furniture in their blanketsVery quick, courteous and friendly Good price for the serviceWill be calling them in months for our next move

This company is a fraud for the consumerThey give you an estimate that is not what you end up reasonable paying at the endI received an estimate of $and ended up paying $I understand it is an estimate, but if I give the dimensions of the furniture and a detailed list of the things to be moved, I may understand 5%-10% error, not almost a 50% error on the estimate
They also said on the phone and in the receipt they sent that I can opt on a free storage for up to days with free re-deliver and now they want to charge me $if they storage and come a different day
If you want your stuff you have to pay in advance; they don't unload the truck unless you pay in cash or money order!

John and Mike, you guys are exceptional movers! It was a better moving experience than I had it previously with another moving companyHighly recommend!
