I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I never sugned the credit card authorization. I never signed the contract. I informed this company of my disability so that I could get help with the contract. I advised and recorded each and every conversation. I notified this company numerous times that I was cancelling this move. The inly ones yelling were company representitives as undicated by the "apology" email from "Joe", which I did not request. I wanted my money back less than 24 hours of speaking with Christine. They even got the city wrong, which is indicative of thier service and competence. Michael called me yesterday when I had others in the cab. He said he recieved confirmation via email. The only confirmation was sent by the company to me and I IMMEDIATELY cancelled via email stating the communications were too poor, did not confirm our conversation accurately and a complaint had been filed with the DOT, which it has and I will be pursuing. Almost every review of this company says the same thing and specifically names the individuals I spoke to. I ONLY mentioned my disabiloty to receive assistance with the contract and when Joe began yelling at me telling me tiny print in an email stating it was binding. There is no place called Baltimore NY to my knowledge. How difficult would it have been for this company to do the right thing and return my money? Each phone call and email has been saved and will be forwarded to the proper investigating authorities. Christine even asked me to sign a credit authorization for the reservation and I refused, stating and writing that I was cancelling. I have since hired reputable movers and have experienced no issue with them. The misrepresentations in this company's response are gross and inexcusable. I will also be following up with the Consumer Fraud Protecyion Unit in NY. It is not just about the money. It is about ethical behavior.

[redacted] was given an estimate based on a list of furniture which adds up to CF/LBS based on that we give a binding price, [redacted] never said or emailed anything that indicates load as much as you want we will charge the same price! he never even said that! when we arrived to [redacted] residence we...

noticed more items that needed to be moved so we explained to [redacted] that to move the additional items will cost her a total binding price of $3000! or she can move the original list binding price for the same estimated price! [redacted] was very pleasant also about picking up the furniture early, she explained to me of all the hardship she is going to with her personal life, I [redacted] told her I will do everything in my power to help as much as I can. [redacted] had over 1000 CF to move with extra packing service! we didn't charge her for any packing service! didnt charge for extra space we loaded we explained everything before moving a single item! Delivery had to be made with a 18 wheeler also known as a tractor trailer because we didn't have space on the 26 foot truck we made 2 trips to load her furniture in Florida and put it in a storage facility, than we send the 18 wheeler to load everything and delivered everything on to [redacted]. [redacted] signed and acknowledge that everything was delivered in apparent good condition, we delivered in a fast timely manner! we moved over 260 items and again had to use the 18 wheeler which couldnt drive down her road not because of inexperience because if he will of attempted to drive down that road he will have had to be towed out. We have all documents/contract which shows everything I say is correct! We never received any phone calls about any damage or pricing issues, this honestly is kind of a surprise to me considering the conversations I personally had with [redacted] ! If there is anything you need me to look into please contact me directly at ###-###-####, which you already have! And if the Revdex.com will like to see all paper work and with [redacted] permission (since it has persoanl information on those documents) I will be very happy to load up and show everyone !!!!

There is a reason Beacon Moving has 5 star reviews across the board. Their service is excellent and makes the complicated job of moving so much easier. The office staff is courteous and the most professional I spoke with them while obtaining my quote. The movers themselves are well trained and professional. Johnny and others were amazing and made it look easy. We will use them again if we need to move again. I highly recommend you to use these guys if you need a professional mover.

I was moving last month and I choose Beacon Moving services because of their customer feedback. I had a great experience with the crew who handled my move. The team was good experience.

I admit it has been 2 months (February 2015) since we used Beacon Moving but the experience left such a positive impact on me I decided to write a review.
From the quote stage through to the arrival of our goods in Colorado the we always felt clear on the process and at what stage we were.

I have heard many a horror story from friends about the move home but my experience using Beacon Moving was excellent (with no lost, broken or damaged goods).

I recently had the task of relocating a household of furniture and "stuff" from Boca Raton, Florida to Connecticut. Deciding on a carrier was indeed a difficult one. Cost is always an important factor. Do I choose a more expensive carry? How do I know how reliable they are? etc etc. I did choose Beacon Moving and storage based on cost and most importantly, because of Joe, the first person I spoke with. He quoted me immediately, was very kind, caring and understanding all of my fears. The packers and movers arrived on time and were exceptionally kind, courteous and efficient. When my delivery arrived, once again, the movers were exceptionally kind, courteous and efficient, even after a grueling long day for them. They showed no signs of exhaustion or frustration after dealing with customers all day. I felt like I was their first delivery of the day and special. I recommend them HIGHLY. Emphasis on kindness, understanding, compassion and pricing. Also, not one item was missing or damaged!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The attached itemized list is what they were supposed to pick up but the driver David left once he saw the furniture saying it was more than what was on the itemized list. He did indeed say he would only take 10 items. When I placed this reservation with Beacon I advised Tatiana that I was in [redacted] and I would be present for the delivery not the pick up. Beacon refused to take the itemized list of furniture attached because the furniture was too big and they did not have enough room on a fully loaded truck at the time of pick up. I can indeed provide you with a notarized statement that this is what happened on the day of pick up. Now I have paid another company $4,054.00 to make this move for me due to Beacon Moving and Storage's refusal to pick up my furniture per the contract. The driver David drove off without saying anything to my representative at the house. This is why I am requesting a full refund of my deposit as I do not have $1,215.00 to give to a company for services not rendered. Especially when I was forced to retain the services of another company to do what Beacon refused to do. I would not have retained the services of another company to pay any additional monies for something they agreed to do. Beacon refused to make the move per the contract, this is why I am paying someone else for the same services I requested from Beacon Moving & Storage.

Although at this time nothing has been received I have accepted the offer of $300.00.  I will resume complaint if offer not received within a fair amount of time. Thank you for your help in this matter.

They were professional, outgoing, and funny, making the crappy chore of moving easy and as enjoyable as anyone can make moving.

we are aware of the problem that transpired between employees, we want to apologize for the embarrassing situation that occurred at your premises. We have Labor ready Acct and sometime we receive really awkward characters. I moved twice this year and both the times I used Beacon Moving service. Their moving service was absolutely great and crew were professional. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and community and will use them for the future move

[redacted] was notified that we had a delay and that we will be arriving late 4/**/2014...

(Saturday) we asked him if its okay to pushed the move to Sunday (4/**/2014) he told us its not possible and that he we have to come no matter what time. Please understand that sometimes we have no control other moves and deliveries that take place prior to other moves. We explained to [redacted] that we will come and do our best, even though it was not the best thing to do start a move so late also we were not able to get anymore labor at that time of the day. [redacted] (father and son) decided upon them selves to help the crew load we never asked them to do so. After the move finished I spoke to [redacted] and understood his aggravation but at the same time he also understood our delay.  After all  we decided to give [redacted] an additional discount of $780.00 which resolved any inconvenience. [redacted] can always reach us at our multiple numbers so im not really sure why he says he cant reach us, I [redacted] spoke to him about 5 times! Regarding all damages please send me all pictures and letter explaining and I will personally make sure that the insurance company will do their job. I was never contacted via phone or e-mail about damages/claim to [redacted] furniture. A refund was already given for delay and inconvenience and if there is other damages we need to compensate we will.

Beacon Movers did an incredible job in helping me with my move. Not one single item was broken that speaks extremely for his or her attention to detail once packing of furniture.

After using Beacon Moving services, my concerns over picking the right mover are gone and they will get the call every time

we never guarantee delivery days and we always explain about additional charges as you can see on the document attached [redacted] says that we needed to use additional material and as you can see on the attached document also explaining that delivery can take upto 7 business days as was...

explained all right and responsibilities were given as can see on the attached document that [redacted] signed electronically...

we picked up [redacted] furniture on May ** and scheduled to deliver May ** 2016 thats less than 7 business days as promised!

we are not liars I have spoken to customer and we will take care of all claim hat is necessary, all pictures are being sent and all information is being taken care of !!!

Review: I signed a binding moving estimate with Beacon Moving and Storage on 6/**/13based on cf, [redacted] did not mention anything in regards to "pieces". In the amount of $1178.10. I paid a deposit of $353.00. Once they arrived, which was 2 1/2 hours late, the movers barely looked at my stuff and told me I would be paying double the amount that was on the binding estimate. We hadn't even pulled anything out yet and not everything that was in there was going.. When I said I couldn't afford it, and tried to called their office to explain, they said - basically - too bad. I told them I wanted my deposit back and they said No, wasn't going to happen. They wouldn't even let me talk to the salesman that I was working with.Desired Settlement: I just want my refund back and to be done with this as now I have to make other arrangements to have my belongings moved. I haven't means to be losing this kind of money.

Greetings:

Please be advised that we provide Beacon Moving and Storage (hereafter referred to as "Beacon") with support in responding to Revdex.com claims. We are sorry that it has taken us some time to respond to the complaints. This complaint is very important to Beacon and is not being ignored.

We understand that [redacted] is dissatisfied with her service and has asked for a refund of her deposit. While we understand that [redacted] is upset, we cannot agree with her position.

[redacted] contracted for a service with Beacon. When she entered into that agreement she paid a non-refundable deposit for a specific number of goods. When the movers arrived at [redacted]'s home they saw that she had many more goods than she originally claimed. Under the contract, she had every right to move all the goods that she listed on her estimate. Anything above those items, were not covered by the estimate and were not going to be moved free of charge. Beacon went to the time and expense to prepare a truck and a team in order to move [redacted]'s goods as per the estimate. The time, truck and team could not be used to service any other client as those resources were allocated to [redacted]. The team was paid regardless of [redacted] changing her mind. The gas was spent regardless of [redacted] changing her mind.

When she signed her contract, prior to giving her deposit, [redacted] was notified that her deposit was non­ refundahle. She was notified that the estimate only covered the specific items listed in the estimate and that if there were any additional items, she would be charged for those items.

As for the last issue of not being able to speak to her sales person, there are many sales people in the office. They all work on a rotating schedule. While [redacted] might have had a move scheduled for a certain day and time, it was not necessarily true that her sales person was working at that time. Moreover, the salesperson was equally bound by [redacted]' s contract with the company. He could not have made any changes lo her contract.

While Beacon strives to deliver the best service possible, it is not always the case that the client ends up happy. Nevertheless, Beacon cannot take the loss for the resources spent on [redacted]. The non-refundable policy was put in place for just that reason. We are sorry but Beacon cannot refund the deposit to [redacted].
