Denial but Constant Encouragement
Your whole company is totally obnoxious with qualifications Verification and Marketing emails and junk mail sent after you denied me with good credit rating, home and vehicle clear titles, and verifiable gaureented monthly income.
Please ROTTEN EGG, get off my lawn.
There are other great companies that got my business- UPGRADE

Cant get their act together
This is supposed to be easy, but it wasn't. I received a :Pre Approved" letter telling me how happy they will be to lend me money. I had $30K unpaid credit card and I qualified for $35K. But I didn't need the extra $5K. So the last piece of document was to be my pay stub. That was emailed and it took then few days and I finally had to call them and help them to find my email. Now the person on the phone wanted TWO YEARS of tax returns. Unbelievable. I can walk to any B of A and get 10 times that amount with two years of tax return.
As far as I am concerned, they can take their loan, buy some eggs, boil the eggs and shove it. shove

+1

I will admit I was skeptical at first because it seemed too easy to be trueBut the process was exactly as advertisedThe online process was extremely smooth from the time of application to the money being in the bankThe money was in my account within hoursI was amazed at the quick process

Received the pre-approved information letter in the mail from Best Egg. I read all the negative reports on-line and was a little concerned. I logged on and reviewed the site. Discussed it with the wife as a way to consolidate credit card debt. Filled out the on-line application and sent in the requested paperwork. I received an email saying they would process the application. Next morning checked email and we were approved. The following morning the money was in our bank account. Simple process, you must understand the originating fees and your loan and interest are based on your credit score and employment. So far so good. This might not be for everyone but it was for us.

I was pleasantly surprised at their process and honesty! They kept their word at every turn. The first draft date for payment was handed as requested! I would use them again without a doubt!

The process for getting a loan was very simple, received a decent interest rate - thought I would get a better interest rate truthfully, but was still worth taking the loan. Money was put directly into my account in only a couple days. It's nice to have only one payment a month!

After several mail offers and a Credit Karma recommendation, I decided to look into Best Egg. General feedback was good, so I applied. The whole process was easy and quick, from the time I applied on-line through reviewing the options and actually receiving the funds.

I am very dissatisfied with your service company, SST. Their website is horrible. My current balance isn't displayed, I have no statements available after my third payment, I can't tell how may payments are being distributed, and half the time the website is unavailable. The worst loan service I've ever used.

This place is a big scam. They are getting peoples information and then say there are no loan offers in your area.

I responded to an add trying to consolidate credit card debt. The rate I got offered was 26% roughly, more than twice what my credit cards charge. They are ridiculous!

Review: What is unacceptable, is that Best Egg as a financial institution does have access to information enough to pre-qualify individuals OR SO THEY SAY and

indicated in their letters that they have already done that and they note in the front page an APR of 5.99%. When I go through the process and they of course' run my credit and ding it, they have the nerve to tell me that yes they can loan me the money at a 17-18% APR, what kind of crap is that if I was supposed to be PRE-QUALIFIED?

So not only did they intend to steep me, but they FLAT OUT LIED about what not stating clear and in the front, rather than in tiny letters in the back and the pre-qualification

only means getting your info from someone else who sold it to them. I will do what ever I can to discredit this people.Desired Settlement: To STOP lying and really show what the average APR that real people get, not what probably 1 out of 1000 Americans can get

in an economy where Bankruptcy, Shortsales & unemployment has hit us so hard, that almost NO ONE has perfect credit. And

the other thing I want is for this ding on my credit to be removed as if these people did not run it, they showed NO SENSE of

remorse providing these completely unacceptable terms as well as the credit ding. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! if this is the type of

Business we do amongst our own fellow citizens, why is it any wonder that we are in the recession we are in?

Review: I constantly receive mailings from this company and have requested no less than six times to be removed from their mailing list. The last corrospondence I returned to them warned them that I would file a complaint if the mailings did not cease. Today I received another.Desired Settlement: I want my name and address removed from their lists.

Review: I applied for a consolidation loan from Best Egg from the pre-approval letter I received in October 2014. I was promptly turned down for a loan based on the amount of revolving credit card debt. I am not complaining about the loan process. If I did not qualify for the loan, then I am fine with their credit decision.

What I am complaining about is that within 10 minutes of being turned down for the loan, I was solicited by a company that called themselves "card services" and later call themselves "Educare". This company seemed to know about my revolving debt and promised me they could work with the credit card companies and lower my APR to 0% for 5 years and this would help me pay them off faster without any interest. They convinced me they could do this for only $900 and I would be saving far beyond this amount when they negotiated the rate down to 0%.

Of course they were not able to reduce the interest rate to 0% and I am not contractually obligated to pay for their non-services of $900. This company has never solicited me prior to me applying for a loan through Best Egg.

I fully believe that Best Egg is responsible for this solicitation from this fraud company who promised to fulfill services they knew they could not fulfill.Desired Settlement: I want Best Egg to admit the fact that they have a relationship with this company who preys on hard-working Americans who are vulnerable to tough economical conditions and who could use help paying off debt. I find it awfully ironic that minutes after being denied for a loan this debt company knew so much about my debt.

[redacted]Per our conversation, Marlette Funding and the Best Egg loan product are not associated with any third-party debt negotiation firms. It is a coincidence you received a call shortly after applying for a Best Egg loan. We do not share our applicant's information with any non-affiliated companies. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you further.

Review: my cell phone is on the DO NOT CALL registry. I am getting calls with no message left starting at 8am, sometimes 3x a day while I am at work. This is illegal and if it does not stop I will get a lawyer and file for damages.Desired Settlement: stop calling me

allowing me to respond! After

researching your complaint, I found that the phone number provided in your

number incorrectly when inputting their application details. The phone number you provided has been

removed from the application and was added to our “do not solicit” list. You will receive no further calls at that

phone number. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please feel free to contact me directly with

the information I left on your voicemail if you have any additional questions

I also had many mixed feelings and concerns regarding Best Egg. I learned about them via mail and honestly started to toss it in the trash like so many other advertisement sales ads. I thought alright lets check this out' so glad I did. I called them... very simple, easy process. I qualified for much more than I was asking but only needed a certain amount to payoff two separate credit cards. It took exactly 2 days for the money to drop into my bank account. Best Egg is the best! I have great credit and an excellent long term work history. My interest rate on my cards where absolutely ridiculous. I paid them all off! My interest rate now is over less than half of what it used to be. Although I just became a new customer I am very happy as of now and would highly recommend them.

thank you for the oppurtunity to borrow money. the experiance was quick. a few questions and I was done. thank you again.

I received excellent service, a low interest rate, and it was easy to apply for. The funds were deposited in my account exactly as they said. I was impressed.

After receiving the loan offer from Best Egg on 1/10/2014 and reviewing the bad reviews on this site and others, I will not be applying for my pre-approved loan for up to $35,000. All consumers should be aware of this company and other mass mailing marketing companies that take your information you provide to them when filling out the application and share or sell your information to other companies. Ask yourself, "How did they get my info and know my credit rating"? This should alarm you.

Review: I called about a best egg promotion that I received in the mail. The person I spoke with told me that to fill out an application and then they would know the loan amount and interest rate of the loan. It was somewhat confusing because the loan was approved but there were 2 % rates; 14.15% and 17%. She tried to explain that the interest was really only the 17% APR and not a combination of the 2. I was told what the monthly payment would be over 3 years. However later when I calculated the monthly payment across 36 payments, I realized that I was paying 26% interest!! I called back to cancel this loan. Of note, I initially applied on a Thursday and called back on Friday. I spoke with at least 3 different people at Best Egg on Friday. The first person assured me that I was only paying the 17% and that as he had been in the mortgage business he knew how to calculate interest. When he did the math (while I was on the phone) he said that he could see what I was talking about and that he would have to talk to his supervisor. I also told him that I wanted to cancel this process. He came back and gave me a different number to call. I called that number and spoke with Sean, who told me that since my loan hadn't funded they couldn't do anything about cancelling the process and that I would have to wait till they funded the loan, then call back and have the funds transferred back to them. I called another number and spoke with Sally. I explained that I wanted to cancel the loan, and since it hadn't funded yet this would be the time to stop the transaction. She sounded very sincere and apologized for the run-around I was getting with Best Egg and told me that she couldn't do anything about stopping the funding because it appeared that the process had already been stopped.

That night at 8:21 I received an e-mail that the loan had been funded. Today, Saturday, I tried to call and talk with someone to cancel this (we have a limited amount of time to cancel), however they were already closed. I have to call Monday morning before going in to work to try to deal with this and get it canceled.

My advice to anyone considering this company, look really hard at the interest rate and do not believe what you see. Do the math on the amount you are actually paying back and calculate the interest rate from that. In my circumstance what was supposed to be 17% and which I agreed to, was actually 26%. I felt that no matter how sincere the people I spoke with sounded, this company was trying to take me for a ride, and is trying to make it very difficult for me to cancel this process within the limited time allowable after the funding.

Someone should be investigating BestEgg and the misleading business practices going on. Getting consumers to agree to one % rate, and then to find later that they are being charged a higher % rate is not honest or truthful business disclosure.Desired Settlement: I want this processs stopped. I want them to take back their money with no funds owed by me. They took out a 'loan origination fee'. They should only take back the exact amount that they put into my checking account. I would like e-mail confirmation of what they have done and verification that the loan process was stopped and that do not owe them anything.

A call with an apology would be also be nice.

If this company really is interested in providing a service to their customers then they should look into incidents such as this and come up with a business/marketing strategy that is an accurate representation of what they are offering.

Ms. [redacted]-Thank you for speaking with me and giving me the opportunity to respond. The explanation of the difference between the interest rate and APR associated with a loan is often difficult to understand. I'm glad we were able to clear that up. Also, after walking through the interest charges, we agreed that the loan is actually at a 14.15% rate and better than you expected! I appreciate your patience and willingness to listen. We are working to return the funds to you and reverse the loan rescission. We will be in touch to ensure a smooth transaction. Thanks!!

Review: I received a pre approved offer letter for $50,000,it stated I received the letter because I met certain criteria for creditworthiness,I decided to try and see if what they stated on the letter was true, decided to fill up the on line offer and was denied without further explanation.A couple of days after the first letter arrived I received a second offer on the mail this time the offer was $40,000. just out of curiosity log back into the site enter the new offer code, and email the system automatically rejected or denied me,access to change the new loan amount.I'm writing this complaint because I want to know what are the laws or rules to meet the criteria used to approve loans, and why if I was already labeled as not meeting their criteria I keep on getting their pre approved offers. And if my credit score was affected by this I want my credit score to be corrected.Desired Settlement: I want explanation from the business, about their criteria for loan qualification. and or My credit score not to be affected by this.

Response:

Dear [redacted],Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns and giving me an opportunity to respond. I would like to start by thanking you for applying with Best Egg! We have established criteria used to meet loan eligibility requirements, one of which is the absence of current delinquency. We mailed a letter explaining this decision on Monday 7/13. If you didn't receive it or need another copy, please let us know. The letter also gives directions on how to obtain a free copy of your Experian credit report where you can also dispute inaccurate information. Lastly, we send mail to our print vendor a month in advance. Often, customers are scheduled to receive multiple offers in any given month which resulted in your receiving an additional offer after this loan request was declined. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please reach out if there is anything else we can assist you with.
