I am so glad I got that offer in the mail and they were able to process my loan immediately! I had been looking for a long time for someone to help me with my consolidation and I am so thankful you all decided to choose me!

I agree with the other negative review posted here. One other said it so well I copy here: I received a PRE-APPROVED letter only to go online and enter my information and receive the response that Best Egg had no offers for me at this time. What is the purpose of sending out PRE-APPROVAL letters if there is not actually a scenario of PRE-APPROVAL? I have excellent credit but I do have some credit card debt I would like to consolidate. I researched Best Egg online and read several reviews both good and bad and decided they would be a good option. It was disappointing to enter all of my private information with the intentions of using the Best Egg service only to be "tossed aside" in a matter of seconds. Certainly not the service advertised. Comes very close to false advertisement in my opinion.

What a joke! I have a great debt to income ratio, great credit and was just looking for a better rate for an existing unsecured personal loan that I currently have, and I was denied in about 5 minutes! I was told that there is no rate available at this time. What the heck does that mean? I applied on line then called for an explanation and of course no one working there knew anything! Don't waste your time!!!!

I contacted Best Egg as I too was curious about their rates and what they can offer based on the email fliers I received. I'd like to say while I did get approved, the loan payments were more than what the debt consolidation needed requires. They wanted over $1200/month for payments of a $35,000 loan. I received better offers with more funding from other institutions and declined their offer.

Review: I have called them over 7 times to be removed from there SPAM mailing list. I'm not even sure who they bought my information from, but it's getting to be more than a harassment at this point and am about to take legal action at this point. When you call to do there automated system there asking for my social security number on top of it? Who o they think they are?Desired Settlement: NO MORE MAILINGS!

Received a letter in the mail stating I was pre-approved. I submitted my information and I was denied. Do not let this happen to you, obviously they do not know what pre-approved means. Letters that come in the mail are misleading.

They say my interest rate is 5.99 but my payment decrease looks a lot higher. I have made phone calls and have signed up for electronic statements but have not received either. Review: my husband applied for a loan with best egg and was approved. we sent in the required documentation to be verified in order to proceed with the approval. Once everything was uploaded we called to confirm that best egg received the documents. I spoke with Kevin and he verified everything was uploaded and went through everything to make sure all was correct. He continued to state that the income was more than indicated and I corrected him stating there was a one time bonus included he stated he had to include that in the income. We were transferred to Natalie and reverified everything with her and she said everything looked good and was going to transfer us to [redacted] who will verify the bank account information so our funds could be deposited. [redacted] called our bank and verified account and then said she was returning everything to Natalie to verify everything was done and we would receive an email in 24 hours and the funds would be deposited within 48 hours. 24 hours passed and no email or phone call so I called Natalie and she stated she was working on it and would call back. I then checked the website and it stated that we were denied due to insufficient documentation. I called Natalie back and she said that was incorrect and forwarded me to [redacted] so the loan can get funded without further issues. [redacted] and I spoke and he said the website was wrong and that the loan timing had expired and that was the issue with the denial. He continued to tell me the loan expired on the 25th and I told him I received an email stating that the loan expired on the 28th. He said he would look further into this to give him a few hours and he would get back to me. After waiting 4 hours I called back only to learn that [redacted] was put of the office for the rest of the day. I asked to be transferred to a manager and I believe her name I was transferred to was [redacted] and she said she had no info to go off of and that the reason for the delay was due to the underwriters fault for not responding to our loan. She said someone would be calling us to let us know the status of the loan. I expressed my anger and how unprofessional this company was and that they did not have a valid reason to deny us and that they were just giving us the run around. She just continued to say some one will call us back. This company is ridiculous and is scaming people into believing they are approved with a legit company.Desired Settlement: I would like the loan to be funded as stated or to have a monetary compensation for the agony, disbelief and the time I was made to believe that the loan was approved.

Review: I received an offer code for a loan from Best egg. I started the loan application, provided all my details including SSN and the website ran my credit and approved me for the loan. I accepted the loan offer and the website requested documents including my pay stub, US passport or Green card etc. I had sent my driving license as I am not a US citizen or Green card. The website or the company's offer did not mention that they do not give loans for non US citizens or non Green cards when I filled the loan application or before running my credit check. I got a call the next day asking for why I sent driving license and not US passport. I informed the person that I was on a work Visa. He wanted me to send in the visa scan. After which the application got declined. When my application was declined for insufficient documentation, I called them and asked the reason for declining. They said I did not send a passport and only sent in the visa. I said I have a passport but not a US passport. The customer service person said, thats fine, send it your country's passport and they were going to reset the application back to 'In Progress' or have me do a fresh application and approve it. When I called couple of days later, the customer service person told me that they were waiting for another department to reset my application status to 'In Progress' and once that's done, it will be approved.

Having not heard back for a week, I called them, and they said they cannot approve it as I am not a US citizen or a Green card.

Issues:

1) Why did best egg send me an loan offer code if they do not give loans for US citizens or Green cards?

2) Why did the best egg website not ask me if I am a US citizen or Green card before running my credit report?

3) Why was I asked to send in my Visa document if only US citizen or Green cards are approved?

4) Why was I asked to send in my Non US passport if only US citizen or Green cards are approved?

5) Why was I verbally promised of approval and made to wait for two weeks if only US citizen or Green cards are approved?Desired Settlement: I either want my loan approved or a monetary compensation for the agony, unnecessary credit check and the time I was made to wait to lead to believe that the loan will be approved.

The Best Egg website as well as the "*Important Offer Details" section of our mailings state "By responding to this offer, you certify that all information provided by you at the time of acceptance is true, correct, and complete, that you are at least 18 years old and a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident." As for your remaining concerns, our employees make every attempt to assist applicants through the loan process and to make it an efficient process. Obtaining a Visa or Green Card are ways we attempt to verify citizenship. In your case, this step was unnecessary and the appropriate feedback has been provided to the loan specialist involved. I hope this response explains our process a bit better and provides the resolution you desire.

Review: I do not know who this company is yet they send me junk mail. I go to their website to learn how to make this stop & they do not provide a way to stop mailings. How did they get my address?

Is it OK that they send products to people they do not know? Is it OK they are wasting paper & polluting this earth? Is it OK that I have received junk mail from this company 3 times this month? Does the Revdex.com care that companies are causing pollution & destroying this environment? I think what they are doing is illegal & harassment because I did not ask for this mail. Stop destroying the planet Best Egg!!!Desired Settlement: I want to stop receiving mail from this company, I want to know how they got my address & I want to know why this kind of waste is legal.

I do not know who they are nor did I request any information. They are wasting paper, ink & plastic to create this junk mail. They are polluting the environment by having the post office pick up this junk mail & then have this junk mail delivered to people they do not know or have not been contacted by to receive any information about this company. I am curious to see if the Revdex.com cares about the environment. Please make them stop sending me pollution.

Review: I am not even certain of what category my complaint goes under, but I do know one thing: I am tired of continued 'Pre-Approved' loan offers from Best Egg when they have already turned me down. I have received at least three of these offers through the [redacted] web site in recent months. Although 'pre-approved' I was declined by their system when applying for a small loan that I would have used to consolidate credit card debt. I was told 'no rates are available.' However, they continue to send me these offers and there appears to be no way opting out online. In the meantime, my credit score continues to go down and I have every reason to believe it's due to their culling my information from the [redacted] site.Desired Settlement: I do not wish to be sent any more of their ridiculous offers and will file a more formal complaint against Best Egg for destroying my credit rating if this continues.

I am very satisfied with my Best Egg loan, simple online application and within 3 days the loan was in my bank account! Hassle free! Now I feel so relieved with my debt being consolidated.

Went to pay off a loan with Best Egg, & 7 days after I send them a check from my credit union, they send me an e-mail saying my loan has been sold ! Well I'll drive my happy [redacted] to your place of business, because I won't play this game..

My experience is identical to the ones I had read about in Revdex.com's negative reviews. "No offer for you at this time" even though I have pretty good credit rating and decent salary to debt ratio. I just wanted consolidate to one payment and possibly lower my credit card interest. I believe its a scam to collect sellable info. They should be shutdown. They skirt the law through misleading and vague offers of help. The only people they intend to loan money to are people that don't need loans. They do not intend to help those whose need it. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

Got an offer in the mail saying pre approved. Applied and it was denied. That makes no sense. STUPID company and LIES!!!!!!!! [redacted] BEST EGG!!!!! WHAT A WAY TO GET SOMEONES HOPES UP WHO NEEDS HELP THEN BE A SCAM. [redacted]

I used Lending Club in the past, and by comparison, Best Egg is awful. They outsource their payment systems to a different company, which creates an unhelpful disconnect when trying to gather information from them. When I got my offer, the APR actually came out better than I had originally expected, which is why I didn't check the credit report at the time. After a few days, I realized it would be great to see what credit score they used to set my rate, as I was curios how it compares to the estimated scores from my bank's credit monitoring website. After being bounced around to 3 different call centers, it became clear that they didn't keep my credit score information. I'm not sure what they use for documentation to support their rates, but this is a very basic element to an underwriting file, and I'm pretty sure not providing my credit score on request violates the Truth in Lending Act. I would recommend staying clear of Best Egg for now, as the whole business seems new and dysfunctional/not fully developed in their processes when compared to Lending Club (which had my credit score information easily accessible, along with all the other loan documentation, directly on their website).

So my experience was the norm, not the exception. BestEgg was suggested to consolidate my credit cards from creditkarma.com. This too listed this low interest rate of around 5%.I too was pre-approved and received approval within 3 minutes of submitting my application. After providing all the other info, they came back with an offer a few hundred less than the consolidation amount AND at 14.99% interest. I was like, WHAT? The credit card was 18% so where was the great savings? AND they had an origination fee of around $400. Shoot, for that I can pay an extra $50 a month and save the $400 fee. I surely felt they misrepresented themselves and now I have a hard credit inquiry I didn't need to have.
