This company sent me a pre-approval letter in mail. I call them and the rep ask for my personal information which includedy ss#. Assuring me this would be a soft pull. The submitted my information only to inform me nothing was available at this time. He requested I try back at a later time. I think this company are scam artists just collecting ppl personal information to use elsewhere. I am gonna check my credit report and see if a sp was done and if it wasn't. I am gonna pursue other actions on this company. JM 10/17/2015

I reviewed all the comments, negative, positive and neutral here prior to contacting Best Egg. Their assistance has been simply outstanding, fast and efficent. I requested a loan on Wednesday of this week. It was approved within 5 hours and funds were in my account this morning (Friday). They have lifted a great weight off our shoulders. We have some heafty dental procedures coming up and now we can proceed.

I received a preapproved offer from best egg. I entered the offer code and the amount that I wanted. I then thought about my financial situation and decided to appy for a lower amount as I would be able to pay it off in 2 months. I went back online to complete my application and was unable to change the amount.

I called the 855 number of my application. First, the customer service rep did not understand that I had not completed the application and just wanted to change the amount that I requested. When she finally got it about 10 minutes into the call, she told me that the only way I can change the amount to a lower amount was to close the application. After a two minute hold, she came back and told me that the only way they could close the application was me to complete the application, allow them to run my credit and then they could close it. I was then told that if the application was closed I would not be eligible for the pre-approved offer that I was using. I told her that was the stupidest thing I had evern heard of...her response? "That's how our system is programmed."

Review: Have never applied for a loan through Best Egg. I never gave them any personal information and this so called application has lowered my credit score by 25 points. I have also received solicitations by mail and phone. I feel that they are engaged in a very clever form of identity theft .Desired Settlement: Did not apply for loan online but credit score has been lowered by 25+ points. I would want record of so called application removed from credit report

Review: I received a pre-screen application for a loan up to $35,000 from MyBestEgg.com. Upon calling the company and speaking to a customer service and giving my SSN for a (hard-Credit) check. I was approved for a $10,000 loan at 24.99% for 3 years or 25.99% for 5 years. The customer service rep. set up the account at MyBestEgg.com and informed me to go in and then give my checking account and routing numbers. She then informed me to send or fax a W2, a void check and last 2 pay stubs.

I received an email about 5 minutes later that Best Egg has approved me now for only an $8000 loan at 27.94% for 3 years. When I called them back and spoke with several customer service reps. they said no rep. could quote anything over the phone. This was a blunt lie and misrepresentative of a loan opportunity by this company only to change the official loan amount and interest rate after pulling a hard credit check and misleading my husband and I about the loan amount and interest.

I have only an email for a $8000 amount loan and but was completely different than the representative informed over the phone. Her name was [redacted], which now I believe was a scam to get a hard credit check and a mark for helping a customer over the phone.Desired Settlement: A statement to the credit bureaus to remove or disregard this hard credit check that has effected both present and future credit, because of misleading customer sales representative.

The process was easy and uncomplicated.

Review: Both myself and my husband have recently received a notice in the mail from Experian stating that negative items had been added to our respective credit reports. I then pulled a copy of my report, and discovered that Marlette Funding through Best Egg had conducted eight different credit report checks on me in a six month period; sometimes twice in the same month. It then occurred to me that the financing company they work through (Best Egg) had been sending me and my husband paper advertisements to our home address. Up until this point, I have never contacted either of these firms and requested services or advertisements. But after seeing what they'd been up to, I decided to place a call to Marlette Funding and request that they stop checking my credit and remove my info from their system. They assured me this would be done. Yet weeks later, the paper advertisements keep showing up, now with increased frequency (at least one envelope a week for myself and my husband). I then decided to call Best Egg directly and make the same request. A very insistent Best Egg representative informed me that in order to get removed from their services, I had to provide ADDITIONAL contact info i.e. phone numbers, addresses and emails in order to get them to stop. After a bit of arguing, I foolishly gave them what they asked for, and since then the advertising harassment has only increased - to the point of a really bad joke. They spam email me, paper advertise to me, and now call my cell phone with robocalls twice weekly. They pull my credit file without permission, and then lie to me directly when asked about it all. This has got to stop. These charlatans should not be allowed to harass, spam and eco-terrorize unsuspecting people. How on Earth are they still Revdex.com accredited?? They advertise this fact on their emails and webpage, and they are making legitimate businesses look bad. Please Help.Desired Settlement: I need my and my husband's credit reports corrected, a written apology from Best Egg and a promise (also in writing) that they will never contact either myself or my husband again in any form. I would also politely request that the Revdex.com withdraw its endorsement from this "financial firm" due in part to the litany of complaints of similar nature to mine thus far published on your site.

Review: What is unacceptable, is that Best Egg as a financial institution does have access to information enough to pre-qualify individuals OR SO THEY SAY and indicated in their letters that they have already done that and they note in the front page an APR of 5.99%. I was quoted a 5.99% rate at 4 years. I am now seeing that it is a 12.7% rate for 5 years; I did not agree to this. I spoke to them on the phone and I specifically asked, "will this rate ever change"? and their response was, "NO". They said I electronically signed something which I cannot find. So not only did they intend to steep me, but they FLAT OUT LIED about what I was getting. My loan was suppose to be for $20K and I only received $19,002 and now when I look at the loan on SST it shows a balance of $19,800 after one payment. I will do what ever I can to discredit these people. I called them and they said they would send me a copy of the "Truth and Lending Agreement" which I doubt I will ever see with my signature.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the rate and time frame of my loan which was given to me upfront. This is so wrong on so many levels. I never would have done this because the credit cards I combined at a lesser rate.

Our rates are fixed and do not fluctuate once the loan is established. The difference between the loan amount and the funds actually deposited is the $998 origination fee associated with the loan. This fee also explains the difference between the 12.70% interest rate and 14.99% APR we discussed. Lastly, as this is a simple interest loan, there are absolutely no prepayment penalties or fees of any kind for paying this loan early. Please reach out if you have any further questions.Thanks!

This company is a joke. Using misleading advertising to lure you in.

The interest rates are as high as the credit cards you want to consolidate and the loan amounts aren't what they lead you to believe you could get.. Junk mail and sorry I filled out the on line application.

I have read the negative reviews. First the offer I received in the mail did not guarantee a 5.99% interest rate. It clearly says "Fixed APR: As Low as 5.99%". Further once I applied and was approved, I was given my truth in lending agreement in which it clearly told me what my interest rate was, what my APR was, my monthly payment and the total amount I would pay over the life of the loan. I agreed to it and had my money in my account within 2 days. There were no deceptive measures on Best Egg's part, it was an honest, easy and simple process. Here is the thing, you don't have to accept their offer, but if you do, it is your responsibility to read the offer and the agreement. Best Egg has been a life saver. I can finally breathe again!!

Review: My husband received a letter stating that we were not considered for a loan through this company. We did not file or request a loan through this company. Now I have to contact Equifax, Experian, and TrabsUnion to dispute this request we did not make. Even his credit score is invalid. Please help if you can. Best Egg was the easiest loan process I had ever encounter. The turnaround time of approval and funding was VERY quick. The day I was approved, the next morning the funds were in my bank account. I was able to pay off my debts and have an affordable consolidated lump-sum loan payment. I am very happy with this company and highly recommend using them for prompt service.

I was skeptical at first because I had never heard of Best Egg. I did some research and only found positive reviews from many people. My husband and I decided to give it a try since their rates and payments were comparable or better than other well known lenders. The process was fast and easy and we had our money in one or two days after sending them our documentation, which was minimal. The setup automatic monthly payments and the day of the month it would be taken out of our bank account. This made it so much easier than having to worry about late payments. The take the fees out of what you borrow so you have no out-of-pocket expense. We said we would never go to a bank for another loan when we can use Best Egg and have our money in hand before the bank would start the paper process. Very satisfied with the process and rates and payments!!

My experience with Best Egg is negative. Run folks, don't walk away from their offers. I was approved for a $30K loan to consolidate high credit card rates and was told it would be at 8%. Once I received the loan and paid the other cards off and I received my paperwork from Best Egg they had jacked the rate up to 18%. I've also ask to change my automatic draft and can get no one to assist me. They don't want to work with you at all. I recently lost my job and tried speaking to them about a plan that would lower my payment but again, no assistance and no willingness to work with me. I tried using a fax number that I was given not once but twice with no luck in getting a letter faxed to them.

So, guess what Best Egg you will force me into bankruptcy.

Thanks but no thanks is what I recommend to anyone trying to work with these people.

Review: It seems as though Best Egg is using the bait and switch technique to lending. Knowing that the average consumer will typically miscalculate their income, best egg asks you to enter how much money you make. They then approve you for a loan at a particular interest rate, they may even come back with a lower rate in a few days if you haven't responded. Once the application is complete they review and dispute the income that was entered. In my case the correct income is still right at $100,000, with $12000 rent in annual debt, with $0.00 in credit card debt. This leaves me with approx. $78000 in disposable income. The loan review representative stated that we would need to rerun my application, but without a credit pull. Sounds like a harmless process, but when complete the rep stated that my $18000 approval at 13.52apr was now moved down to $5000 with a 29.99apr! When I asked to speak with a manager for clarification, he stated that there was no part of the loan qualification process that could be explained with any factual data, but instead offered some far reaching explanations of how this could be. He also went on to tell me that they are a company that prides themselves on customer satisfaction and repeat business, therefore I should take this loan and reapply at a later date for better rates once a relationship has been established. Translation- There is no chance we will give anyone the initial rates that we quote and we will use our vague explanation on how to submit information as a tool to bait an switch you into a loan with much less money and much higher APR. Shame on you Best Egg.Desired Settlement: A loan at the rate originally quoted. However at this point I may not even be able to accept it because I have applied with another company. For the most part I want the Revdex.com to be notified of possible fraudulent business practices.

The process was very smooth, almost to smooth. Only thing I didnt like is that I couldnt go back and lower my loan request, after seeing my interest rates. But I hope to pay off early.
