Review: Last month (June 2015) I applied for a loan through Best Egg but declined it due to high interest rates. Since then I have been receiving excessive and harassing robocalls from Best Egg asking that I contact them if I have any questions regarding my loan application. I have been receiving 2-3 a day several times a week. The calls all usually come within a 6-7 hour time period during the day.

I received the first series of calls on 6/26-robocall at 10:55am, 1:57pm, and 5:16pm.

The evening of 6/26 I contact Best Egg at [redacted] at 8:22pm and spoke with Annette (Operator #9471). I asked that she delete my account from the system as I was no longer interested in the loan and wished to have the robocalls stopped. Annette told me she could not help me with this issue and transferred me over to “origins” department, even though they were closed.

The next set of calls I received was on 7/2 at 9:51am and 12:53pm. That afternoon I contacted Best Egg again at 1:15pm, this time at [redacted], and pressed “1” to speak with a representative about my current application. I told the representative that I would like to have may account deleted in an effort to end the harassing robocalls. He responded that he could not help me and said that I needed to call another number for assistance. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the man placed me on hold. A few moments later the line went dead; the representative had hung-up on me.

I immediately called the [redacted] number again and this time I pressed the #2. I spoke with a representative, Sally, and explained the harassing robocalls I was receiving. Sally said that it was against their practice to place that many robocalls and acknowledged that the practice was harassing and illegal. She apologized and said that she would put an end to the calls.

Despite my conversation with Sally I received another robocall on 7/2 from Best Egg at 4:21pm.

On July 6 I received another two robocalls; one at 10:08am and one at 1:10pm.

Today, July 13, I received another 3 robocalls from Best Egg; one at 10:52am, one at 1:54pm, and one at 4:56pm.

Seeing as no one at Best Egg is willing to truly assist me in ending these harassing robocalls I’m contacting the Revdex.com for assistance. I am requesting that Best Egg immediately stop placing these robocalls to me and to delete my account from their system in its entirety to ensure that these harassing calls do not start-up again.

I have saved all of the messages left from these robocalls as a record of the ongoing harassment and would be happy to share them with you if it may aid in resolving this situation.

I look forward to working with the Revdex.com to resolve this matter.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Best Egg immediately stop placing these robocalls to me and to delete my account from their system in its entirety to ensure that these harassing calls do not start-up again.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I got the offer and decided to fill it out. I was asked for $25, 000 and was offered $10, 000 but not near 5.99% it was 29.99%. Wow is this legal? Are there not usuary laws? I did though not put my correct phone number as I figured they would pester me. Here in Florida if you tell them not to call you and they do, you can get $1, 500 a call. But I do not want to deal with it.

These rates are higher that my credit card rate, so I closed it out.

Get a pre approved offer in the mail...call them up and give them all your personal information... and they say they don't have any loans for you.....JUST AN INFORMATION GATHERING CENTER....!!!.....Total waste of time and they will sell your info to someone else!!!

Much like everyone here, I got a mail saying I was preapproved. Have over 10,000 in credit debt, thought I would give it a try. I apply online and was decline after filling out the application. Worst advertisement ever.

I received a promotion in the mail for 4.99% intetest rate for up to 50k. So I called and gave them all my information to consolidate a credit card and two car loans. My credit score is above 730. She returned with an offer for a 10k loan at 23.99%! I don't believe they are a legit company and they are just phishing for marketing clients. They are a joke, and a waist of anyone's time. Replying back with an interest rate that high only says one thing, they are not serious about giving you a loan. Now they have sensitive information about me, my financial, SSN, cell number, and e-mail address to sell off to hoards saleman!

They are not setup as a regular lender.

They use SST (Pretty Shoddy Shop) to do their servicing and their website is horrid.

Like others here I also received the invite with the similar offering.

The customer service at SST is a joke.

I would have went to Lending Club or a regular bank as the rates were the same.

For my is a great loan an if possible in the future my loan need more credit than 15 000 more in credit to finish to pay my credit card thanks

This is a great company with the services they offer, they helped me pay off all my high interest credit cards into one loan payment with a lot better interest loan rate.

After receiving several mailers from Best Egg, I decided to give the "Pre-Approval"process a try. I have Excellent credit, long standing employment, and own a home. I was given 2 ridiculous options for interest rates in the 20's. Absolutely insane. Their website says interest rates as low as 4.99%, Lies !!! Don't bother people. Best Egg, don't bother trying to contact me, I am not interested in your gimmicks.

I agree. I kept getting pre approved things in the mail and finally decided to go for it and do a debt consolidation loan and sure enough same thing happened to me. Fill out all the needed info with the pre approved offer code and boom, said we have nothing available for you at this time. Interesting to say the least.

Shady , I think they are trying to get your info. I have been getting offers in the mail for six months or more. Finally I decided to apply and the answer is nothing is available now. what a joke. MY credit score has not changed in the last 6 months and total debt is decreasing.

I am another victim of this SCAM and false advertising. I received a pre-approved letter in the mail also. I submitted an online application giving my sensitive personal information and within seconds received a denial response. I have a good credit history and score, which is better now than when I received this pre-approval letter, so if they say the denial is based off not meeting their criteria I think is false. If you have good credit stay away from this SCAM. They just want your personal information. Believe all the other negative reviews saying this happened to them as well.

I should have checked this site before I called Best Egg. The fact that there are more negative reviews than positive reviews was a red flag. But, I was already on the phone and went through with the process to see on which side of the fence I would land. Welp, chalk up one more negative review from me. The rep was courteous when she announced I qualified for my $13,000 loan. (Oh, she could not approve me or give me the rate until she had my social security number. I was hesitant, but really, really wanted to defy the odds... silly me.) Take a BIG hint. If you have an existing loan or credit card with 18-29%, you'll probably pay the same or more with Best Egg. I have a loan with 10.5% and thought I would get something less. The lowest she offered me was a 22% interest loan. No thanks. Oh and she cannot void or delete my information for 21 days.... Buyer beware... Do not divulge your private info considering the loan offer will probably not serve your needs.

After receiving a pre-approval letter from Best Egg I filled out on an online application, received a not great rate of 11% for a debt consolidation loan. Better, however, than the 22% I'm paying on two credit cards. Reading the fine print it was unclear if there was a prepayment penalty. It was also unclear if I would lose the rate if, with automatic payment, there was a gap in time between when my paycheck is deposited, and when the automatic draft is taken out of my account, which will happen when you're paid every 14 days, and BestEgg is withdrawing on a fixed date each month.

Also, they wanted a paystub and cancelled check. Since I shred everything I didn't have a paystub to send for the next ten days. During that time I was HOUNDED with sales calls, multiple times a day, with messages that sounded a lot more like debt collection calls. Seriously? I haven't completed the application yet and they're already phone trolling/stalking me with auto generated calls 30 seconds after each time I use my phone.

There is a sordid boiler room feel to this company.

I submitted a rate quote to see the rates I would be offered, and low and behold I got denied. I have a good to very good credit score and also have a decent income. I am looking to build up my score so I can get a home by the end of next year. I got denied. WTH. This is based on credit karma recommendation that I'd have a"very good" chance of being approved. I'm an OTR trucker and trainer with retired military income, I'm disappointed to say the least with their general application because you can't write further info down, just another "smart" software program that proves itself done in the human vs computer statistical analysis. I wouldn't have even considered the offer if credit karma didn't put a very good chance to get a loan. Sad thing is I borrowed 25k from my credit union and did well paying them back, no missed payments and paid it off early. I did contact them about it in email, but I had to dig for the info. No answer yet, the point is, they need to change how they do their application process to give a consumer a chance to break info down at the end as per financial income, etc.

I received a letter from best egg saying I was pre-approved and I was thinking of using this to pay off current bank loan and consolidate credit cards. Upon approval I was given a 24% apr. this is ridiculous. They are not out to help anyone except themselves. I will stick with my bank as I can get the same loan amount for the same period at 4-8%. Stay away from best egg. They are a villains out to take your hard earned money.

For starters, Best Egg was was able to fund a personal loan for me right when I needed them to. Prior to Best egg, I was I was with Lending club for a 3 year term. Best egg was able to get me in a 5 year loan, so I went with them. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that the rates are ridiculously high! I honestly would NOT recommend them to a friend or family member as a first resort. They are definitely an absolute last resort kind of company. My issue with them is the amount of time it takes them to process and mail you an overpayment check.

Prime example:

I recently paid off my loan with them (It was for about $10,000) by "refinancing" with my credit union. I was able to get a MUCH lower rate for the same term (5 yrs @ 9% vs. 5 yrs @21%). Now, I mailed these guys a cashiers check earlier this month (December 2014). According to the rep, the funds cleared and were applied to my account on 12/9/14. So, tell me why today is the 22nd and I still have not received my money? The rep mentioned that it "is company policy" to review the account 20 days after its paid off and then issue the check, which can take up to another 10 days. So, you're telling me that it can take up to a month from the date of payoff for me to receive any applicable refund? Unacceptable!!

For the life of me, I can't understand the logic. If the system shows that the account is paid off and you owe me money, then why not just pay me my money?! Also, the only way they can issue a refund for overpayment is by check. So, you're telling me, best egg, that you can dip into my account every month on schedule via auto-debit, but you can't put the money back the same way you got it?? Unacceptable!

Needless to say, I'll probably get my money some time next month. I just wanted you all to be aware of the ridiculously long turnaround time you'd be getting yourself into. Again, they were there right when I needed them but had I checked with my credit union first, I wouldn't have even given them a 2nd thought. Lastly, the amount you request isn't the amount you end up getting. I requested 10,000 but only ended up getting 9,500 because of some administrative or processing fee. Mind you, my credit union gave me the 10,000 in its entirety!

My advice to you all: Don't make Best Egg your plan B...not even your plan C. No, they're more like a plan F company.

Review: Received offer and I have the same concerns as the complaint on 4/28/15. Ding on my credit, of which my score was around 740. Not sure of what impact it had. I liken the broad offer to a bait and switch-5.99% to 29.99%. I have adequate income, 90k, minimal debt, 35k, and a better then average credit score; the best they could do is 14.99% at 3 years, 15k. Sorry...not desperate. Wow....insult. BAIT AND SWITCH........if quacks like a duck......Repair/Remove inquiry on credit....remove my ding - cease and desist.Desired Settlement: Get thew word out on predatory lenders, never contact me again, ever.

When my bank wanted to draw out the loan process and I needed fund quickly I found Best Egg to meet my urgent needs for a short term loan. They worked quickly without the big bank aggravation.

Review: I received mail from Best Egg offering a very low interest loan. It said no obligation if I checked on the rate. I called them on 10/31/15 and was given a rate, which I to,d them was too high. They offered a loan and I declined and indicated I wanted no further contact. Someone from Best Egg called me on 10/31/15 twice, 11/2/15, 11/3/15 , 11/9/15 twice, and 11/10/15 twice. Each time I have told the, to remove my number and name and stop calling because I was not interested, but they continue to call. I told them I would be filing complaints with Revdex.com and FCC if they did not stop.Desired Settlement: I want these calls to stop, please.
