Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on January 7, 2016. The copy online clearly provided...

[redacted] with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on January 22, 2016 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on January 22, 2016 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on January 22, 2016 [redacted]'s card was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide him a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $39.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $39.80 as of March 8, 2016.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The 14 day trial Is a scam To catch suckers like me. I did not intend To maintain a membership and use their services. They knew that as well as I did!I figured a dollar 99 For a one time use To make a resume Was a good deal.I did not needThe service any longer.Because I forgot to cancel I was penalized $38.90 every month Indefinitely Until I caught it.They will continue to take peoples money in this manner until somebody Steps up and makes them change the policy!Every legitimate business that takes money out of my account At least send me an email thank you for your payment. This alone would serve as a reminder to those of us who forgot to cancel. Also, If they admit they were wrong by returning five of the nine payments They should also return the other forBecause they Can check the records and see That I never use the account except the one time.

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2015/12/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
A Legitimate business Provides a service for a reasonable fee. This company knows fully well That a percentage of US consumers Will not cancel before the 14 day trial ends.I would love to know what percentage of their income Comes from People who are not using the service.By only refunding me five of the nine payments Taken from my account, They are taking advantage of my mistake of not cancelling before the 1.99 trial ends and they will gladly take advantage of others until changes are made to allow consumers to personally authorize each payment or in the very least, require the business to notify you with a "thank you for your payment." This is out right theft because I only used the service for 1 document for the 1.99 fee . They know many customers will forget to log back on to cancel! If they are knowingly keeping 138 dollars of my money now knowing I never used their service then they should not be allowed access into anyones bank accounts! This is unethical practice and they should be held accountable!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Their response provides further evidence that their additional charges to my card were unwarranted and should be refunded to me. When I contacted them about the charges, they were able to find record of the charges by looking up my card number. However, my point is that they are correct, I did not sign up for any of their services, further proven by the fact that they are not able to find any record of my ONLY email address in their files.

I was AGAIN deducted on 12/4/15 for services I did not sign up for. This is even after my complaint to them on their website on 10/19/15 using their Live Help feature explaining my issue with the deductions and then providing with the necessary information they needed in order to stop the deductions. I have a screen print of the chat session to prove this.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was charged for 4 monthly charges at $39.80 per month. I was initially charged the $1.95 on June 8th, a charge I am not disputing. subsequently in mid June, July, August and September I received the $39.80 charge, which I am asking be refunded. therefore, I should have one more month refunded. I also want reassurance that my son's subscription is cancelled. his account was cancelled on Day 1, but I now understand that there is a difference in deleting an account, and stopping a subscription, however, any reasonable person would understand that by cancelling my account I no longer wish for services OR charges.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We do not accept this at all. [redacted] deactivated his account assuming that cancelled his subscription. Once an account is cancelled, you no longer have access to it so why would he want to continue with it and how can you be charged for an account that does not exist. Also since he "cancelled" the account, he had NO access whatsoever to cancel the subscription. He cancelled his account within the 15 day period and as records will show, he only used this service once, it was the SAME day that he signed up for it. Also, he did call and speak to a cust service rep over the phone who then said [redacted] would get an email within 24-48 hours. He NEVER got one, what kind of customer service is this??? Upon reviewing MANY reviews on Google etc, there have been MANY complaints about this company. This company is a scam and a joke and no we will not accept this offer. We will also let everyone know to not EVER use this company. We want a FULL refund.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume builder services on April 22, 2014.

On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 7th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on May 7, 2014 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on May 7, 2014 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on May 7, 2014 the card which [redacted] provided was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer is willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide him a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $39.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $39.80 on May 16, 2014.

LiveCareer's response does not address the root of my issue - continuing to be billed after cancelling my account. Their response clearly outlines and defends their deceptive and entrapping business practice. Which I fell victim to, but to their point is my fault by not fully reading the fine print. What their response does not acknowledge is that they continued to bill for a second month of service after I canceled my account. Bottom-line I do feel this response is inadequate, however I have received resolution through my credit card company and require no further action from the Revdex.com (which by the way I am impressed with).

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I was unaware of this transaction completly. Although my e-mail address and bank card was used for this transaction I was a victim of Identity theft. The person who utilized this service in my name has been discovered and prosecuted. I have several online subscriptions to other services but this was not one that I had purchased myself. My e-mail address and bank card have both been changed to prevent any further identity theft. Again thanks for your consideration and I apreciate your reaction as I know you made an exception in my case. If I should ever need your services in the future I will glady seek out this company first.
