Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on November 22, 2014. The copy online clearly provided...
[redacted] with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on December 7, 2014 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on December 7, 2014 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on December 7, 2014 Luciana's card was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $39.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $39.80 on January 12, 2015.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am still of the belief that this company is deceptive in the way it advertises " free" when in fact it is not "free" I will reluctantly accept this settlement but still believe this company's business practices and deception border criminal. They have a pattern of Revdex.com complaints and ' settlements" this company still comes out ahead of the game seemingly resolving complaints and still profiting from providing no services. If this was a larger amount and time warranted I would sue. I feel certain that a class action lawsuit is in their future.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Which month are they refunding me for? March? If they agree to refund me for March they should agree and refund me for April and May as well. You are a witness. In my earlier complaint I said I tried to contact them on April 12,& 14. If they charged me on March 13,2015. I contacted them on April 12,2015 one day before the next charge to cancel the service. They 'NEVER' replied back and I Waited. So I Contacted them again on April 14,2015 and Again 'Never' received a reply. I have the email inquiry to prove I contacted them. They never contacted me back and that is the type of sloppy service I said they provide. Now I just want a refund for April & May. If they agreed to already refund me for March?
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/07/09) */
Thank you again for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted].
As previously mentioned, our monthly charges are not refundable. However, we value our customers here at LiveCareer and want to do all that we can to resolve any issues they may have. As such, we issued a refund for the monthly charge for the month of April totaling $39.80 refunded on June 10, 2015. Mr. [redacted] mentions a charge in May, however our customer service team has not been able to locate a charge to his card for May and as such we cannot provide a refund.
We trust this resolves this issue.

choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $35.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on June 30, 2015 to our monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on June 30, 2015 to our recurring monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on June 30, 2015 [redacted]'s card was charged $35.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide him a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $35.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $35.80 as of July 2, 2015.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 11, 2015/12/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I'm forced to agree since I've lost my archived emails. Those would have shown that the wording was NOT conspicuous as claimed by LiveCareer. One had to follow the link to their account page to see charges.
I will never recommend the website to others.
