with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $59.40 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on April 6, 2015 to our monthly service at $59.40 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on April 6, 2015 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on April 6, 2015 [redacted]'s card was charged $59.40 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $59.40. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $59.40 as of May 13, 2015.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/01/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not recall the 'automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day' language on the initial purchase. If I had seen that I (and countless others) would not have subscribed. Personally I do not think the language exists, or if it does it was recently added because of all of the complaints. Additionally, they should send an email every time funds are taken from your account. If this was the case I would have ended my relationship immediately.

I searched google for a free resume and they recommended this company to me, At first the site said free resume so I filled out a resume but after I finished it, it said one time payment of $3.95 so I paid cuz I spent so much time filling out the resume and didn't want to restart it all over again. So 2 weeks later I get a statement from my bank that they withdrew $36.80 from my account and 2 weeks after that incident as well, I contacted them and they only gave me a refund for the second and not the first. This company is a scam because before any payments were took from my account I sent my resume multiple times to a state job that I was getting an interview with and they said they did not receive anything at all. Stay away from this company unless you want to get scammed!

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
After I told then I was going to speak to the Revdex.com, only then did I receive good customer service.I hope after all of this they improve as a business in the future. My debit card was stolen this weekend ,and obviously I can't prove anything when it comes to them in regards to that. The card has been cancelled. The company itself did right as far as fixing the problem ,eventually. I would advise the management team take a look at some of the employees working there ,or at the very least have a program to have deal with customer service better. The last person I talked to was pretty rude to me. I'm sure the management there is better at dealing with customers. It was resolved so I'm moving on now. Not sure who [redacted] is ,but I did receive a few refunds. I think thay email speaks for itself ,when it comes to the employees that work there. The management team there has some work to do to weed out the bad ones.

I want to believe the business, but I received an email that the subscription was cancelled on 5/14/15 from them. The information on this form states that it is cancelled on May 28, 2015. I have been charged in the past on a day sometime between the 8th of the month and the 12th of the month, so I will be watching for that to Not happen this month before I am completely satisfied. I do thank you for your assistance with this matter, because I believe the cancellation may actually be done now.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I no longer have an account with livecareer after they bait and switched me in 2013 it was cancelled. I filed a complaint against them at that time as well here with Revdex.com. Here is the link to my resume that they are placing online without my authorization and it comes up under a google search for my name. http://resumes.livecareer.com/r/[redacted]-j-XXXXXXXX
I want it removed. I do not need to have an account in order to force them to remove my resume. This is my personal business information and my personal information. The old account I believe was under my email address [redacted]. I would not remember the old account number of any card used as that was 2013 and I no longer have those old bank accounts. But some of my old cards ended with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.
Here is also a copy of the email I sent them:
Removal of resume from the internet

Please remove my resume from the internet. I do not want it on there. I am the only person in the world with the name [redacted], a such I am job searching and I have recently found my old resume posted on the internet when doing a google search for my name. The resume you are posting is very old, and not updated and has some incorrect information. Therefore potential employees that are looking at me and my current resume right now will see this bad resume which conflicts, when they do a background check. Here is the link to the page.
http://resumes.livecareer.com/r/[redacted]-j-XXXXXXXX
I know longer have an account with your company. The resume was deleted before the account was deleted, so it should not be showing up online and yet its right there for the whole world to see. At no time did I ever give this company permission to exploit my resume and use it an example for others to see. In fact, I have done no business on your site since 2013 when I was forced to file a better business complaint against the company for bait and switch fee tactics. I do not want to have to file another complaint in order to protect my rights. Therefore I am asking you to remove this resume at once so that I can get a job which I desperately need. Your site posting my old resume attached to my name and my companies names as a sole proprietor only serves to help your company and does not benefit me in any way and only harms me. Please remove at once. Thank-you for your immediate attention.

It is not clearly stated that I was signing up for a subscription service what so ever. I am not the only one to have this complaint. While I am able to stand up for myself others are not. Please refund all of the monthly charges, not just 3 months. In no way did I recognize what I was signing up for as I stand by my previous statement that it is not clearly stated anywhere. Press make your business practices less deceiving and more straight forward.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on May 4, 2014. The copy online clearly provided [redacted] with a...

choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for the annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, the offer clearly states that to subscribe to a full access membership at $7.95 per month, [redacted] would have to "pay upfront" and the membership "renews annually." Additionally, on the sales page, immediately adjacent to where [redacted] entered her credit card information, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that "by paying only $95.40, you will be entitled to all of these benefits for the next year." This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel this annual membership within 14 days to receive a full refund of her payment. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s Annual Membership subscription with an upfront payment of $95.40, and monthly payments of $7.95 thereafter.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer is willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of her payment in the amount of $95.00. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $95.00 on May 5, 2014.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

[redacted] with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on September 20, 2014 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on September 20, 2014 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on September 20, 2014 [redacted]'s card was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide him a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $39.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $39.80 on December 12, 2014.
