When my Inspection company failed to note several plumbing & venting issues I was left with illegally vented furnace/hot water heater, low water flow and unable to take a shower for the 1st 6wks of owning my homeWith no help from them or the home warranty that was part of my purchase agreement I was at my wits end I called Uptown Plumbing on a Tuesday and spoke w/SaraShe gave me various day/time option and let me choose what worked for my schedule On Thursday morning Daniel & Austin showed up exactly as scheduled and got to workAfter they had conducted their walk through & testing they gave me a list of issue they had foundSome I was aware of and some I was notThey explained exactly what was wrong, why it was wrong, and what they could do to fix itThey gave me options to choose from for work they could perform with no pressure to purchaseI choose my option and they started workThey kept me updated through out the day of their progress and when they were completeI arrived home to a clean house w/no trace of them being there except all my issues where gone!! This was for an annual furnace water heater check up Very accommodating on setting up appointment date and two hour window of time We were notified the day befor that we would be the technicians first appointment at 9:am Joseph, the technician was right for on timeHe explained what he was going to do, how long it would take, asked if we had any questions or concerns before he started While he was working, Joseph filled out an online form and sent it to us on his progress and what he found The service call took a little over an hourWe then got a verbal review of Joseph's inspection Good company, Good technicianI highly recommend Uptown Plumbing and Heating

I called the company twice and e-mailed them 2-times to request an itemized receipt that would include the parts, labor, and break-down of their bill I never received it I received a lump sum figure every time I was supposed to get the $coupon off of the bill and that doesn't show on my e-mail bill

On time, friendly, and knowledgeable! Heating/cooling service tech: Pointed out things that were and were not within specs Provided clear repair prices and performed the repair really quickly Plumber: Installed water shutoff valves and a new outdoor spicket (in below degree weather) Found and repaired a small gas leak Extremely pleased with Hero and love the Happy Home Club $a month plan

After our year old boiler was deemed unsafe we called Uptown The entire replacement process went without a hitch Dave and Tommy were efficient, knowledgeable, and congenialGoing into the winter it's good to have peace of mind

I had a coupon for a furnace and water heater tune-up The technician came out and wasn't in my basement more than minutes when he came up and told me I needed a whole new furnace He said that my furnace was leaking carbon monoxide and parts were worn outHe emphasized the danger of having my furnace in this condition It seemed somewhat suspicious especially after the carbon monoxide emissions reading was ppm which is actually a very level He also wanted me to make an appointment to have a plumber come out because he explained I had water quality problems Considering my suspicions, I called another company for a second opinion That company confirmed my suspicionsThere assessment-- my furnace did not need replacing--it did not even need repairing

They recommended unnecessary work and then did price gouging for the unnecessary work or expanded the scope to charge more We have been using Uptown for their Happy Home service where we paid a monthly fee and twice a year they tuned our furnace and A/C while also doing an inspection of our 101-year-old homeWe have been a customer for the past or so yearsI had been very happy with them for good customer service by the support team and the techniciansDuring last month's furnace tune-up, they recommended $(for the band-aid) up to $16,(for the platinum) to replace our water heater, replace our gas pipes and fix our cracked stand pipeBid seemed high so I called a highly recommended, licensed and bonded 30-year old company for a second opinionWe don't need a new water heater and only need spot fixes on the gas linesTotal for the gas lines and stand pipe by the new company: $Needless to say, we canceled our Uptown Happy Home serviceI don't know what has changed at Uptown but proceed with great caution and GET A SECOND OPINION!

I wanted to leave a ZERO star rating for HERO but the Revdex.com site doesn't offer itI had HERO out for an anual tune upThey did what seemed to be a very quick maintenance on my boiler and proceeded to tell me that my seal was crumbling and leaking about 2ppm CHe stated that most other companies would "red tag me" which caused me to be fearful of having other techs out for a second opinion! He told me I could "try to do a reseal on it but it would cost about $800, often doesn't work and has no warranty so I would be better off putting my money into a new boilerHe also said "he's seen the crumbling seal completely fail in as little as a couple weeks" causing more fear and urgency! I scheduled with their "Engineer" who was very charming but really a fast pitch salesmen! I am so glad I trusted my instincts and went on nextdoor to read about others opinions of this company and their recomendations of reliable onesI called two other contractors to get a second and third opinionI am having it resealed next week for $with a high heat silicone that the contractor states he's "never had a problem with in all the years he's been in the business"He also told me as did the other contractor that I have a good boiler and all the parts and components of my boiler are replaceable and repairable and that they see no issue in expecting me to get another years out of my boiler!!!!

I had two leaks in my bathroomOne in the faucet of the bathtub and the other in the toiletSean from Uptown Plumbing fixed both of them in a timely mannerThis was done in December, It is now May, and the leaks have not returned so I am confident the work was done right I should note that Sean also salted my sidewalk and steps at no additional costI will hire this company next time I have a leak and I will request Sean WMy house is years old

Yesterday the plumber quickly fixed the bathroom old problem of not enough waterThe shower head had enough waterHowever, I notice when it shut off, water dripped, and I thought it would stop soonBut after a day, there are still water dripping from the shower head Try to call back, but it is weekendCan somebody help soon?
