They recommended unnecessary work and then did price gouging for the unnecessary work or expanded the scope to charge more
We have been using Uptown for their Happy Home service where we paid a monthly fee and twice a year they tuned our furnace and A/C while also doing an inspection of our 101-year-old homeWe have been a customer for the past or so yearsI had been very happy with them for good customer service by the support team and the techniciansDuring last month's furnace tune-up, they recommended $(for the band-aid) up to $16,(for the platinum) to replace our water heater, replace our gas pipes and fix our cracked stand pipeBid seemed high so I called a highly recommended, licensed and bonded 30-year old company for a second opinionWe don't need a new water heater and only need spot fixes on the gas linesTotal for the gas lines and stand pipe by the new company: $Needless to say, we canceled our Uptown Happy Home serviceI don't know what has changed at Uptown but proceed with great caution and GET A SECOND OPINION!

When my Inspection company failed to note several plumbing & venting issues I was left with illegally vented furnace/hot water heater, low water flow and unable to take a shower for the 1st 6wks of owning my homeWith no help from them or the home warranty that was part of my purchase agreement I was at my wits end
I called Uptown Plumbing on a Tuesday and spoke w/SaraShe gave me various day/time option and let me choose what worked for my schedule
On Thursday morning Daniel & Austin showed up exactly as scheduled and got to workAfter they had conducted their walk through & testing they gave me a list of issue they had foundSome I was aware of and some I was notThey explained exactly what was wrong, why it was wrong, and what they could do to fix itThey gave me options to choose from for work they could perform with no pressure to purchaseI choose my option and they started workThey kept me updated through out the day of their progress and when they were completeI arrived home to a clean house w/no trace of them being there except all my issues where gone!!
I have now recommended them to every person I work with and all my family membersI believe I have found a company that I can trust and will use them for any plumbing, heating, and cooling needs I have in the future

Michael was great I felt he was there to educate me and not to pressure me into buying something I didn't need After years of using another company I will be calling Uptown for any further plumbing needs
Justin, Wayne, Robert and Joe installed a mini-split AC in our basementThey were fast and courteousUptown is delivering every time they do a job for us
The Uptown crew is very professionalGreat communication over the phone, via email, and in person The technicians have always been friendly, courteous, and willing to 'show and tell' the situation with regard to the equipment (furnace, AC, etc.)Additionally, they've been patient with our children who are always interested sometimes to the point of getting under foot

I have just started using Uptown Plumbing, Heath and Cooling, Increcently and have been very satisfied with all of the transactions i've had with them The installed a new boiler and water heater in the fall and a new kitchen faucet today
After our year old boiler was deemed unsafe we called Uptown The entire replacement process went without a hitch Dave and Tommy were efficient, knowledgeable, and congenialGoing into the winter it's good to have peace of mind

I called the company twice and e-mailed them 2-times to request an itemized receipt that would include
the parts, labor, and break-down of their bill I never received it
I received a lump sum figure every time
I was supposed to get the $coupon off of the bill and that doesn't show on my e-mail bill
I received excellent service from Mikan and Tye from Uptown Plumbing for a new boiler installationThey were both friendly, courteous and very helpful and patient in answering my questions about the boiler and new thermostatThey arrived on time were very respectful of my property and made certain everything was working properly before leaving
Sean and Tom were also here recently for a boiler inspection and discovered the leak and answered all of my questions about the process of replacing the boilerBoth were great to work with, very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous
Dustin and Mitch were also at my home recently for a leaking kitchen faucet and clogged drain respectively.They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable and completed the work that was requested and informed me of all my options for making decisions about the workThank you all!
We were very happy with Uptown Plumbing, Heating and Cooling They were timely, friendly, and efficient They listened to what we wanted, and quickly got us on their schedule The installation crew did a great job and left everything very clean We would recommend them and use them again
SCAM! I scheduled a basic tune up for the winter The technician came out and drilled a hole in the vent, stating the furnace had been installed backwards so a drilled hole was the only way he could inspect itHe snaked a camera in and stated the heat exchanger looked cracked and called for a 2nd opinion from a senior techHe also stated the Olevels were off and the airflow was badSenior tech came out, checked and red-tagged my furnace! Cold front just blew in and my heat was turned off! Disconnected from the gasThey claimed my furnace was a hazard and I needed a new oneBase price was about $and the same amount to replace the heat exchanger so I might as well get a new one They said as my furnace was backwards and too close to the wall, they had to rip the entire thing out and reinstall it properly(The wall was just a cheap panel to the finished basement)I nodded and listened to them but it didn't sound right I flat out told them I was calling someone elseThey said they legally had to red tag it and turn it off
I called a 2nd company and a technician came out, unscrewed the panel (vs using a drilled hole) and fully inspected it He said nope! The heat exchanger IS FINE The furnace was NOT installed backwards, I just need a better access door in the cheap panel wall next to it(it's cheaper to cut an access door in a panel wall vs ripping out and reversing a furnace installation)He removed the red tag, reconnected the gas and did a thorough inspectionHe gave my furnace a clean bill of healthSaid its working fine, is a newer furnace and there wasn't even any corrosion on the heat exchanger, much less a crack I will not EVER call Uptown again Not when they tried to rip me off by $(which is what they quoted for a heat exchanger element replacement)

Everyone I worked with during my visit was kind, knowledgeable, and showed a genuine concern for my situationThey provided good information while emphasizing safety and the understanding that I had options Niall spent the most time - and he did a great job of breaking down his explanation into understandable termsI really appreciate the added benefit of a 2nd technician coming to confirm the work needed in my specific situationIt gave me confidence that they were providing sound advice
We had a maintenance plan with Uptown and they came out to inspect our furnaceThey told us we had a leaky valve and proposed fixes ranging from $(they called it a band-aid) to complete fuel distribution renovation $2,We had CenterPoint come out for another opinion and they said there was no leak and no interventions were needed
This was for an annual furnace water heater check up
Very accommodating on setting up appointment date and two hour window of time
We were notified the day befor that we would be the technicians first appointment at 9:am
Joseph, the technician was right for on timeHe explained what he was going to do, how long it would take, asked if we had any questions or concerns before he started
While he was working, Joseph filled out an online form and sent it to us on his progress and what he found
The service call took a little over an hourWe then got a verbal review of Joseph's inspection
