Chad *** came to my house for a furnace and water heater tune up He was extremely thorough, but I really appreciated all of the education in home maintenance He was courteous, clean, and extremely professional I had another company coming to tune up a 2nd furnace and I have cancelled this visit as it would not be able to compare to the service I had today

Chad did a great job He was timely and efficient I will ask for him every time I schedule a boiler inspection Unlike his predecessor on the job (also from Uptown) he was there to provide SERVICE not make HIS day with an inflated bill which included services which I do not believe warranted the amount he wanted to charge A complaint reduced the invoice by about 50% but even then the 'reason' for the work (input water valve had mysteriously stopped working - hmmmm - whenever did that happen before) was suspect and I will always have a suspicion with regard to motives of 'techs' Uptown sends out Note that I have done over $20,of business with Uptown yet one bad experience will forever tarnish my opinion of them Mr *** should be more attentive and not try to employ a new 'plan' without making sure it meets the business model that he used for so many years to build a reputation of reliability at a reasonable price

I woke up on March with a noise of running water coming from the laundry room at about 9:AM I had to find a plumber because I discovered water was coming out of the water heater and wetting the area and passing a steady stream down the drain I tried to find a plumber I knew, but he was on vacation in Nevada and unavailable I starting looking on the internet and found Uptown Plumbing I called them and they indicated they would get a person out to exam the situation They made it clear that there was a service fee of about $to come to my home Not cheap, but I did not have a lot of choices I signed up for the visit and a few hours later the service person arrived and informed me that my water heater needed replacement I signed up While he was replacing the heater, I began to think about the other plumbing problems I had I informed the repair man that as long as he was here, I would have him fix a few other things He told me that would be smart because he would not charge the service fee but once for all repairs He replaced the water softener, the wash tub faucets, and the bath tub controls He was in the house for about hours I believe It wasn't cheap ($3800.00) but it was necessary Phil was very business like and congenial
