Chase Home Finance Reviews (621)

Review: I paid chase $470 to do an appraisal on a home. Chase did not come through with any type of service period. Instead I was cheated over and over again with bogus lies. I asked for a refund and was told that the fees were used for administrative fees. I spoke with my mortgage broker in regards to this and it is an unacceptable made up excuse. Fees are used for the services you pay for and nothing else. To make the excuse that the fees were used for administrative fees is just another way for them to keep your money.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund in the amount of $470 because I never receive services I paid for.

Review: To whom it may concern,

I purchased a home in October 2012. The mortgage was sold to Chase, who has been managing the loan since then.

The property was new construction - a large single family home was demolished and four town homes went up in its place. At this point it did not have a parcel address as it was not yet assessed by the county.

On May 24th 2013 it was entered as a new taxable entity in the county of [redacted], PA and given a parcel ID. I then received a bill in mail for taxes, and called Chase on May 30th 2013 to inform them that the temporary parcel ID they had (from the old building) was incorrect and it needed to be updated.

From here forward I made dozens of phone calls between Chase, and [redacted] county, trying to get Chase to accept the new parcel ID. Chase required their own "investigators" find this information out, despite the information always being available on the County's website.

After many tax delinquency notices and being told that I would be fined and assessed additional interest (and sent to collections soon), I called Chase again, trying to figure out why they wouldn't pay my taxes. They stated that they could not pay because the parcel ID was still wrong (they would not accept the new parcel ID).

My taxes finally got paid, but with penalties and interest taken out of MY OWN escrow account, despite this being entirely Chase's fault. I filed a dispute with them directly, asking for the money back and was denied. They claimed that on September 20th, [redacted] CHANGED and verified my parcel ID, which allowed them to finally pay. I called [redacted] County Treasurer (1-[redacted]) and spoke with the customer service supervisor. He confirmed that on May 24th 2013 my property was assigned a parcel ID that NEVER changed and my taxes were eligible to be paid on that date. Chase paid my taxes on Sept 30th and they unfairly, and without permission paid fines and interest with my escrow.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the interest and fines paid on my real estate taxes. Additionally, I lost out on a 2% prepayment discount.

According to my records, they paid $587.24 which includes taxes and fines. Without taxes and fines, the amount was $538.75 and with the 2% discount, this would have come to $527.98. Therefore, I am requesting a refund of 59.26 added back to my escrow account ($587.24 - $527.98).

Again, according to [redacted] themselves, this property was eligible for payment as of May 24th 2013. Only because of Chase's internal processes did they not pay until payment was received on September 30th 2013.

Review: I mailed a cashiers check in September to pay my monthly loan. Unfortunately I forgot to write the loan number. JP Morgan Chase cashed the check and did not even look at the address or the name on the Cashiers check from [redacted] confirmed the check was cashed and spoke with [redacted] that day who promised to reconcile and post the payment. That never happened. I called and a rep created a ticket to have it done. That ticket was closed. They asked me to email a copy of the cashed check which I did. They still will not apply the payment. The last time I spoke to a rep he was rude and even said I can go to my bank and get my money back or call back. This has been going on for a month now and and no resolution has been reached. In other words Chase can cash a check and take the funds and will not give it back because you did not include a loan number. I have provided every detail about this Cashiers Check (not a check Cashiers Check). But no one will help me. If this one is posted it will cover my September payment and I will be left with October. But I am getting notices from Chase about 2 months behind.Desired Settlement: I want this reported to their corporate office and I need someone to call me and resolve this issue.

Review: I requested a payoff quote on my mortgage on September 2, 2015. The quote was given and I issued a check from my bank the way I have paid my mortgage for years using an official bank check as required in the payoff quote guidelines. The check was received Tuesday September 8th which is 4 days after the quote was dated. Therefore I legitimately owed Chase 4 days worth of interest. I thought that the money was wired as it was always wired before but I guess [redacted] sends checks over a certain amount. So the check arrived late. The extra four days of interests would have been $20.60 (4 days X daily interests rate of $5.15). In lieu of cashing the check and using funds from escrow ($7,000), cashing the check and sending me a bill, or calling me to discuss, they mailed the check back. So I have a $37,000 check in the mail that I don't know about because they didn't tell. I also have 37000 sitting in my bank account with other live checks that could be forged waiting on the Chase check to be cleared. I called Chase to inquire and they advised the check was returned as it wasn't an official bank check or a wire. But it was an official check and as noted above mailing the check back is the least desirable option. Destroying the check would have been preferred, which I would have told them had they called me.Desired Settlement: Chase made a big mistake in my mind. They should have called me if something was wrong with the check and worked with me. Sending the check back and all of this nonsense costs time and the "juice" is running $5.15 a day so the more time it takes to resolve the matter the better for chase. I believe they should eat all interests charges after they received the initial check. Which as of today would be $20.60 but the amount will continue to go up until resolved. I am attempting to wire them money Monday September 14 - if chase accepts payment then it would be $30.90 in total additional interest + the obvious exposure of having such a large sum of money in my checking account and large check out there - but I am optimistic nothing bad will result of that.

Review: I have provided Chase Mortgage several times my policy for flood insurance. I also had a Chase rep called my agent for policy info and a faxed policy. I have also faxed Chase twice with this policy. But they seem to say I am not covered. Chase has slapped me twice with their Flood Insurance Policy. They can not get their paperwork in order. I have also had the insurance agent call confirming my policy. I have called Chase and was told it may take up to 15 days for our records to catch up. It's been two moths. My last call I asked to speak to someone to make a complaint but was put on hold and told no one is available, gave my contact info for someone to contact me in regards to this and was never contacted. I also got a strange check in the mail from Chase Flood Administrator for $125, when I asked the Chase rep about that she took my contact phone number saying someone would call me. I never filed a claim so I was unsure what this check from Chase was about. Also, I am not sure why Chase is also making me have flood coverage for more than my condo value. Not sure what they are up to, seems shady.

Review: On or about May 8th, 2007 [redacted] & I obtained a residential mortgage loan from [redacted] for the amount of $110,000. In the Deed of Trust for the loan there was 3.46 acres of land along with the house to secure the loan. In the Spring of 2012 we were contacted by JPMorgan Chase bank and offered to refinance the amount of $103,972.00 at a lower interest rate to reduce our monthly payment. Never during this time did Chase Bank ever indicate they would be seeking more property to secure the loan for the Deed of Trust of 2007.(3.46 acres) On June 28 2012 we signed a promissory note in the amount of $103,972.00 Believing the Deed of Trust of 2012 to be consistent with the 2007 Deed of Trust. Unknown to [redacted] & I the 2012 Deed of Trust contained a different description of the encumbered property than that of the 2007 Deed of Trust which was in the amount of 16.29 acres. Never was there any mention to [redacted] & I JPMorgan Chase would be encumbering all 16.29 acres of our land to obtain & secure our loan. We feel this was done in a in a devious/deceitful manner and were scammed by JPMorgan Chase to gain all our property verses what was in the previous loan in 2007.Desired Settlement: To revert back to the land amount in the previous loan & Deed of Trust 2007 which was 3.46 acres and not bind all 16.29 acres of land.

Review: I made my Chase mortage payment on there site on July 10th to be paid on July 11th as of today Chase has not credited my payment to my account and can't tell me why they are holding it or when they will apply it. I called on July 11th spoke top 3 differnat people and no one could help me. But [redacted] a senior service specialist (the third person I was transferrred to) told me he could not confirm my online payment because the account is in my husbands name. Well that is correct the laon is in [redacted] and [redacted] and I'm [redacted] so was not sure why he could not tell me. So when I went off on him telling him the bil comee in both names he told me he see my payment and it was processed and completed but could not tell me when they would credit to my actual account to reflect I was currant. So this morning I log back on to my chase account and see the payment was processed but still not credited to show nothing do. So I call again to day and Speak with anouther senior specialist [redacted] to be advised the same thingDesired Settlement: I want a letter from the CEO of Chase explaining how they can hold my money and not apply it to my account the they recieve it and is this legal. I also want all my calls listen to and the employess retrained or fire . Becuase I was told they where recored. I have also reported them to the Insurance and Baking commision and also the Monmouth community affairs.

Review: In March, my husband went to the Chase location on [redacted], TX to inquire on refinancing our homeMy husband spoke with Mr[redacted] (NMLS ID [redacted]) about the possibility of refinancing our homeMr[redacted] provided all the information to my husband including a cost breakdown of the refinancing based on preliminary numbers we provided Mr [redacted]We had shopped around but decided to go with Chase based on the amount of closing costs and what we were quoted by Mr[redacted]In mid-March we met with Mr[redacted] to sign the paperwork and start the refinancing process once he verified all the documents he requestedWe were very responsive to Mr[redacted]’s requestsAnything he requested we were able to provide it to him within two business days at the mostMr[redacted] quoted us a final monthly house payment of $which included the principal, interest, taxes, and insuranceWe double checked and asked him if he was absolutely positive and he recalculated the numbers and even told us he was using the numbers from the insurance quote he received and the property taxes of My husband and I were satisfied based on Mr[redacted]’s response and calculationsHe stated on various occasions that this amount WOULD NOT changeAfter meeting with Mr[redacted], we received statements from Chase in the mail indicating different numbers than what Mr[redacted] had quoted us in personConcerned about the differences in numbers, my husband went to Chase and discussed the difference in numbers with Mr[redacted] and he mentioned that what he had quoted us in his office were the true numbers and would not changeHe mentioned that Chase automatically generates a statement to the refinance applicants but is not reflective of what he updates in his computer dailyHe told me to disregard the monthly payment amount I received from Chase via mail and that the one he quoted my husband and me in his office was the accurate oneHe assured me that the number he had on paper was the true and accurate payment amount based on his calculations and not the automatically generated one from the computer that was mailed out to me
Mr[redacted] was working with a processor named Ms[redacted] out of [redacted], TXShe would contact us on various occasions to request documentation which we promptly provided to herOn April 25th, 2013, my husband and I received a telephone call from both Mr[redacted] and Ms[redacted] stating that they were ready to close and we needed to close on that same dayI told him I would have to check on my husband’s schedule and see if we could find someone to take care of our children with such short noticeMr[redacted] even provided us an incentive that he and Ms[redacted] would give us a gift card if we closed that same dayMr[redacted] also mentioned to my husband that we were approaching our loan approval time and that if we were not able to close today that rates might increase so it was in my best interest to close todayIn a last minute panic, my husband and I scrambled to make arrangements for a babysitter so that we could sign documents at ease and ask questionsAfter making arrangements for child care and cancelling prior engagements my husband scheduled the appointment with Mr[redacted] for 7:pm on April 25th, Mr[redacted] stated he would have a notary come to our home to have us sign the closing documentsWe were excited to have this process come to a close and start a new financial relationship with ChaseAround 7:pm, no one had shown up to our houseWe thought maybe this person was running late or stuck in trafficAround 7:pm, we received a phone call from Mr[redacted] saying the individual who was coming to our house was running late but should be at our house shortlyMr[redacted] also gave us the name and cell phone number of the individualAt approximately, 8:my husband called the telephone number that Mr[redacted] had provided him and the notary answered saying he was at [redacted] printing out the documents and that he would make it to my house at 9:pmI told him that Chase had scheduled the closing for 7:pm and not 9:pmI told the notary person to cancel and that I would contact Chase the following business dayMoreover, during this initial wait, another notary had called my husband on his cell phone around 8:pm that same day that we were scheduled to close to ask if my husband had the closing documentsHe said Chase did not provide him with the closing documents and he was just checking to see if I had the documents to signI proceeded to inform the second notary that someone was scheduled to be at my house at 7:pm and he paused and said…I have the time blacked out for 9:pm, sorryMy husband and I were confusedWhy would this gentlemen state the appointment he had on his schedule was for 9:pm when Mr[redacted] told us the appointment was at 7:pmAt this point, our entire day was wasted by cancelling prior engagements and spending money on a babysitter when, in fact, the time we were scheduled to close was not the correct time given by ChaseMy husband sent Mr[redacted] and Ms[redacted] an email addressing the “no show’ for closing at the time agreed upon, 7:pm, not 9:pmMs[redacted] tried calling my husband to see if we could close the very next day as if nothing had ever happened and at the time my husband said he was not going to closeMs[redacted] then said why not? My husband explained that nobody showed up at the scheduled time and she apologized for the mistake and said she would talk to Mr[redacted]At about noon, Mr[redacted] attempts to call my husband and leaves a message stating he could close the deal today and to give him a telephone callNever did he apologize about nobody showing up at the scheduled time which shows lack of respect for other people’s time
After a terrible experience with Chase not showing up to my house to sign documents to refinance my house I thought I would let the management of Chase know what type of organization they had going on at the refinance department on [redacted]My husband left a message for Mr[redacted]’s supervisor explaining the details of the negative experience we had experiencedThe very next day, Mr[redacted] (Mr[redacted]’s boss, NMLS ID [redacted]) had called my husband to find out what was going onAt this point, my husband and I had decided to call off the refinancing because we were so disappointed with Mr[redacted]’s deceptiveness in keeping a scheduled appointment and lack of respect for the customer’s timeMr[redacted] had talked to my husband and convinced him to proceed with the closingMr[redacted] had also told my husband that to offset the costs of the babysitter and the frustration of the previous day, he would refund us $which was for the application feeAfter much coordination with Mr[redacted] and promises that this would never happen again under his watch, my husband and I decided to go through with the refinancing
During Mr[redacted]’s attempt to get us to close early as originally requested, Mr[redacted] had promised us an incentiveMr[redacted] had promised to give my husband a gift certificate to anywhere as a incentive to close that day because of the inconvenienceI mentioned this to Mr[redacted] and he stated that they could not provide one to us because it was against [redacted], however Mr[redacted] stated he would give us one if it would make us happyIf it’s against [redacted] then why have it offered by Mr[redacted] and his supervisor, Mr[redacted]On April 30th, 2013, we received the final[redacted] closing statementWe again were surprised with the information contained in the statementOriginally, Mr[redacted] had quoted us a final payment of $and this included the principal, interest, taxes, and insuranceHe had confirmed with us at least three times that this number WOULD NOT change, however the final [redacted] closing statement stated our final house payment was going to be $I spoke with Mr[redacted] about this and he had stated that the $amount did not include the insurance portion and that was the reason the amount was $I had told him that we had confirmed with Mr[redacted] that the amount of $included insuranceMr[redacted] had no commentDoes Chase not provide any training to its employees? I would think that as a loan officer they would require some type of training especially when dealing with a major investmentI personally feel, Chase and Mr[redacted] were deceitful in their business dealings when Mr[redacted] said to disregard what was mailed to us concerning our mortgage payment that was sent to us via mailI mentioned this to Mr[redacted] on how dissatisfied we were with the process and how Mr[redacted] was deceptive to usThe following day on May 1st, 2013, I received a phone call from Mr[redacted] asking if we could schedule a closing date for later that afternoonI told Mr[redacted] that I had to discuss it with my husband, ask for the time off work and make sure my babysitter was availableI told him I would call him right backI tried calling Mr[redacted] at least five times during the day and also texting him confirming our appointment later that dayNever did I receive a phone call back or text message until I was on my way to the bank to close at the time he said he had scheduled itAt this point, I was finished dealing with himAgain, another disappointment and lack of respect for the customerWhen my husband and I arrived at the bank to close, Mr[redacted] could not even look at us in the eyeHe knew he had been deceitful with usHe had apologized to us in front of the notary and stated he would call us the next day to discuss the situationDid he call, like he promised in front of the notary? Of course notAt this point my husband and I just wanted to get this over withWe were finished being lied to
After signing documents, On May 7th, 2013, I received a closing statement from one of our previous lenders, [redacted], stating the loan had been paid off by Chase but we had a outstanding balance of $I called [redacted] and the gentlemen I spoke to stated we had a balance of $because four different payoff amounts were requested at $eachI emailed Mr[redacted] on that same day, asking why were there four different payoff amounts requested by chase? As the gentlemen with [redacted] stated there should have only been ONE payoff amount requested since we were only dealing with one bank which was ChaseI did not hear back from Mr [redacted] for two daysI would figure since we had a bad experience closing this deal with Chase and the deception that was involved that Mr [redacted] would make it a priority to call me back or let me know he would check on it and call me back in a couple of daysNeither of them occurredInstead, I received a response on May 9th and that was only because I had emailed him twice asking for the statusWhen he finally replied, via email, he stated that Chase had ordered two pay off amountsOne for the original closing date of April 25th and the other for May 1stHowever, I told him that the reason we did not close on the 25th was because Mr[redacted] had mislead us about the appointment timesMr[redacted] had told us that our appointment was at 7:pm when it was actually at 9:I will not and should not have to pay for someone else’s deceitfulnessThat was not our fault and our issueMr[redacted] also stated that the title company had ordered two pay off amounts for the same reasonAgain, I don’t feel that we should have paid for two additional pay off amounts due to Mr[redacted] deceptive practiceAlso, I also told Mr[redacted] that we did not choose the title companyAnd therefore, we expect Chase and the title company to coordinate for the payoff amountsWhich Mr[redacted] actually stated in his emailI also told him we should not be financially responsible for the lack of coordination between the Title Company and ChaseSince then, I NEVER heard back from Mr[redacted]After two emails, I received a response stating he would contact me on Thursday, May 16, I never received a telephone call from Mr[redacted], the supervisorFinally I emailed him on June 3rd letting him I know I will handle the situation in a different manner and never heard back from anyone from Chase
We were thinking of refinancing our rental home with Chase based on our experienceObviously that isn’t gonna happenWe have two neighbors that were thinking of refinancing and had asked us about our experience with ChaseYou can only imagine what we told themThe very day we make up our closing costs in our monthly payment, we will transfer the loan to another bankA bank that has some professionalism and who’s management leads by exampleBecause obviously Mr[redacted] doesn’t care about the customer so we understand where Mr[redacted] gets it from
I am requesting that I be reimbursed the $for the pay-off amounts requestedIt was not my lack of coordination with the Title Company for the pay-off amountsWhile I cannot change their customer service or deceitfulness, I don’t believe I should have to pay for additional pay-off amounts that were beyond our control.Desired Settlement: So the Chase organization can know what kind of employees they have working for them

Review: My husband, [redacted], and I applied to refinance our chase mortgage. We locked in a rate of 3%, signed a document and began the process on 6/7/13 for a 60 day lock. We were approved to close Friday June 26, 2013. At that time the mortgage banker, [redacted], realized he had released the lock while researching 30 year fixed rates. He apologized, admitted his error and said he didn't have the authority to change it back. His boss [redacted] got involved, apologized, admitted the error and said she did not have the authority to fix it. It was then pushed further up the pipeling to someone called [redacted] and above her someone called Wendy. We are still waiting to close our loan. The lock expires 6/5. Both [redacted] and [redacted] have expressed how bad they feel and I believe are trying to do the right thing. [redacted] works in the JP Morgan Chase Office in Littleton, Co. Phone [redacted].Desired Settlement: We would like to close this week at the agreed upon terms.

It has not been removed and we are senior citizens on a fixed income.

I never stopped making payments but they have me listed on the credit bureau as making no payments. This is incorrect and needs to be corrected with all 3 credit bureaus.Desired Settlement: For Chase mortgage to remove all negative payment history to all 3 credit bureaus.

Review: We have a home loan with Chase which had an interest rate of 6.5% fixed rate starting in 2008. Our NOTE with CHASE Bank stated that in November 2012 our loan would convert to an adjustable rate. We received a letter from Chase back in 2012 stating that our interest rate would adjust to 3.25% and would change as of December 2012. Our statements have never reflected the change and our principle has not gone down since then, even though we have been paying the same amount per month. Our loan is $880,000 - our payments were $4,766.00 per month when our interest rate was 6.5%. If our interest rate was 3.25% then our payments should be approximately $2,383 per month but we have still been paying the $4,766 plus the extra amount for taxes and insurance (About $5,890.14). This has never been changed to the new interest rate and our principle has not gone down even though we have been paying the higher amount per month? I have called them so many times and received so many different answers that I don't understand. I have written letters and received no response except to show us what we have paid but no explanation as to why it does not reflect that on our statements. Our attorney said they are not posting the payments correctly and he has contacted Chase's attorney to discuss the problem but she can not give us an answer either. It has been over a month since we contacted the attorney and she still has not gotten back to me or my attorney with an answer. Our principle balance should be going down since we have been paying the higher amount every month since December 2012. I need to know exactly what is going on with our mortgage account! Please HELP!Desired Settlement: I would like CHASE to change my interest rate to the adjustable 3.25% interest rate and credit back the amounts paid on our account so as to lower the principle amount owed on our mortgage. I need them to make sure the payments I've made are posted correctly.

Review: Hello,In reference to my Chase mortgage account# [redacted]4I have a mortgage with Chase bank for nine(9) years and recently requested for a one time courtesy to have the negative reporting to the credit bureaus reversed. I entrusted a family member to make the mortgage payment on my behalf while I was out of town but unfortunately it was not done causing my payment to be more than 30 days past due.I contacted the bank to ask for consideration to reverse the reporting because my credit score was consequently lowered by almost 100 points! This is my first time asking the bank for this type of consideration but I was denied.I have been a loyal customer with Chase for several years, I formerly financed a vehicle, another mortgage, credit cards etc. but this is my very first appeal for the bank to work with me to help restore my credit.I was very disappointed by the systematic response I got back from the bank and hoping you can help to resolve my concerns.Thanking you.[redacted] Please see below the response I received from the bank. Review: In 2009, I lost my paralegal job and my husband received a huge pay cut at work. We immediately contacted Chase and advised we needed to do a loan modification. We were assigned a Personal Loan Representative, [redacted], at the Sacramento, CA branch office. He was to guide and advise us through the entire modification process. After being late on our mortgage from 9/2009 - 11/2009, Chase approved us for a loan modification. Those three months are the ONLY time we were ever late. Chase set our modified payments to $2400 per month. We signed docs at the Chase Sacramento office. Mr. [redacted] advise us that "no negative reporting would be made beyond those three months, so long as we timely made our loan modification payments every month." We did that faithfully, and continue to do so. After 10 months, Chase notified us by mail the modification amount was increasing to $3400. They said it was because they "redid" their calculations and felt we could afford to pay more. Although we did not agree, WE MADE the $3400 payment as requested, and on time. It's important to note, for a year after the modification was approved, we received calls from Chase's Collection Dept. Our Chase Rep., Mr. [redacted], told us not to worry. He said Chase's Mortgage Dept knows we are making our payments. But that the "left hand" of the Chase organization, the Collection Dept., was still behind on getting notification. He told us to fax the Collection Dept a "Cease & Desist" Letter, advising them the loan modification had occurred, and to contact Mr. [redacted] if they had any questions. We sent 6 faxes to [redacted] over several long months. We are in the process of selling our home, and downsizing. To prequalify for a smaller house, our escrow officer pulled our credit report, and discovered Chase is inaccurately reporting 13 months of delinquent payments (from 3/2010 - 9/2011). Clearly, the Collection Dept. did not get updated and reported delinquencies when there were none. We have sent Chase several letters requesting they correct the inaccuracies. They have not responded nor fixed the errors. At this point, we have been advised by our underwriter that we cannot qualify for any new loan of any sort. We've been advised if the matter is not corrected by Chase, we will have to rent, and put our belongings in storage.

Account_Number: Chase #[redacted] WADesired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

To immediately remove the inaccurate reporting by the Collections Department of our loan being late/delinquent for 13 months from 3/2010 - 9/2011. A loan modification agreement was in place, and payments were made on time and in the agreed upon amount. Or else we will have no alternative but to hire an attorney an seek monetary damages.

Review: I tried to pay off my mortgage. They refused to accept my payment through online bill pay and notified me by mail, not call, and told me I had just two days to send them a wire transfer or they would cancel my payoff. They told me if I made the payment within two days, they would honor the original payoff amount. We made the wire transfer the next day. A week later they called and told me I owed them an additional 253.49 and if I didn't pay them within two days, they would cancel my payoff. I reminded them they agreed to honor the original amount and they said "sorry." We tried to make the wire transfer of the second amount today, but they left us messages saying we must call them to confirm we paid it. When we called them, they claimed to have no record of us ever having a mortgage with them.

The original payoff number was provided by them. We paid what they told us to pay, from the very beginning.

I believe all of these actions on their part were tactics designed to keep us from paying off our mortgage early, and to cause us to incur additional fees and interest.Desired Settlement: I want them to honor the original payoff amount and refund the additional 253.49 they made us pay under threat of canceling our payoff. I want a negative complaint on their handling of this situation registered where people can see the way they handled this.

Review: Initially, I gave an American Express credit card info to be charged for the $470.00 by Chase for performing appraisal of a residential property I am purchasing for which I am in the process of applying for a residential loan with Chase. However, sometime after I gave the American Express credit card info, I requested Chase not to charge this card, but charge another card by Discover instead. At 5:50pm March 17, 2014, a Chase staff advised me via email that "I’m having my manager change the credit card to Discover. Can you please confirm your Discover card number and expiration? It’s not accepting the payment so I want to make sure we have the correct number." At 9:59pm March 17, 2014, I provided Chase my correct Discover credit card info via email. However, I discovered on March 23, 2014 that on March 21, 2014, Chase charged the American Express card instead of Discover Card. I notified a Chase staff regarding this error on March 23, 2014. At 11:48am March 24, 2014, a Chase staff acknowledged that Chase charged the American Express credit card in error:

"Mr. [redacted] If your credit card was run, we will refund it. It was an accident as the information I inputted was not correct for your discover.

Please note that you will be responsible for paying the application fee at closing. [redacted],

Please submit a refund request

Than you"

As of 6:07pm 3/28/14, Chase still has not refunded the American Express credit card and has not responded to my emails asking for the update on the status of the refund, which it approved on 3/24/14.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is that Chase refund $470.00 from the American Express credit card.

Review: I had my mortgage modified with Chase 3/21/2012.

The terms of my Modification read as: The Modification. The loan Documents are hereby modified as of May 01.2012 (the modification effective date) all all unpaid late charge are waived. The lender agrees to suspend any foreclosure activities so long as I comply with the terms of the loan documents, as modified by this agreement. (which I have) Maturity date will be May 01,2034. The modified principal balance of my note will include all amounts and arrearages that will be past due. New principal balance of my note is $208,725.71 (the new principal balance).

$45,000.00 of the new balance shall be deferred and I will not pay interest or make monthly payments on this amount. the new principal balance less the deferred principal balance shall be referred to as the interest bearing principal balance, "and this amount is $163,725.71. The bearing principal balance will re-amortize over 265 months.

Interest will begin to accrue as of APRIL 01, 2012, and monthly on the same date therafter. I would have to pay off the remaining $45,000.00 deferred balance after the 265 months. It also stated that all of promises or documents was voided with this new modification and my account would go back to good standing. Chase stop me from making my payments when I was doing the Modification, they would not take any payments from me. The problem I am now facing is Chase has not been honest with the contract I sign. I have called Chase over and over again. I have contacted the credit bureaus and they say Chase as inform them there are reporting correctly. On my credit reports it show a different total almost every month and not going down but going up and I have not miss a payment since signing the Modification. What is be reporting on my credit report is different from what is on my Chase online Mortgage account. Chase online show a balance of $159,201.00 which would be the correct remaining balance. My credit reports show the highest balance of $526,007.00 and a remaining balance of $364,452.00. The month before it showed $526,007.00 highest and $323,000.00 balance. ONE month is was showing a balance of $169,000.00. I can get this fix so I am asking you to please help me with this issues. I HAVE NEVER OWED CHASE THE AMOUNT OF NEAR THE AMOUNT THEY HAVE PLACED ON MY CREDIT REPORTS.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate if Chase honor the agreement that we have agreed to. I would like them to remove the incorrect information of my credit reports and send me a letter to confirm that they we have a sign Modification for the amount of $208,725.71 with a deferred balance of $45,000.00 and to put my account in good standing like they said in the modification.

This situation has stress me out.

I thank you so much and await your earliest response.

Review: I filed a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Aug 2011 and it was fully discharged in Nov 2011, in which I surrendered a home that Chase Bank held the mortgage to. For 3 years now I have been trying to get them to remove the property, as per the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. They have given me the runaround for many years and continually given me bad advice for a property that I don't even own anymore. They send me documentation that requires a signature of me and my ex wife the issue being that I don't know where my ex wife lives and I am the one who continually gets this documentation.Desired Settlement: They need to take the house back as per the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and stop finding reasons to drag this on. I surrendered this property 3 years ago, and I don't want it haunting me anymore.

Review: I have been trying to refinance my home since November.I was told I would get my application fee back at closing. It was $396, now that we are close to closing, I have been told, Im not getting the $396 back, and Ill need an additional amount to close. I was told not to pay my Jan mortgage payment yesterday, now they tell me today to pay it.Chase has not done 1 thing they said and now I cant talk to anyone.

Product_Or_Service: Refinace on houseDesired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I want my $396 back. They took $1 out of my bank account a week before they took the $395 out of the same account. If they cant honor what they say, they need to pay me back.
