I understand a hold placed on a pending order. However, this order was never confirmed. In addition,  the hold was for three times the original amount. I am a college student and not having access to my funds for five days for merchandise I didn't receive seems to be an unfair business practice. I have called Dick's Sporting Goods on several occasions without any help. The last time I was told the hold would drop is Monday evening. It is Tuesday and the funds are still unavailable.

I am only accepting this reply as being forwarded to the correct office. My complaint remains, primarily due to the policy of Dicks to only provide notification of no returns on firearms after the sale. Dicks should return or exchange defective firearms w/o having customers wait on repairs. I'm my case, I have possession of the gun. The manufacturer says several hundred rounds of specific ammunition must be used in a break in period for the gun properly, that Dicks does not carry.  I have to make another trip to the range, purchase more expensive ammo, to attempt to break in this gun. If this does not work, I will seek return of the gun. If it does, I will keep the gun and accept a policy change. Also gunsmiths, state that this gun model must be completely disassembly and cleaned (beyond field cleaning)  to operate properly, not mentioned in the manual and beyond normal user capabilities.

When receiving the 25% off coupon the associate had giving me 1 year and stated that the percentage off would bring me to the same price point for the item I was trying to purchase. After doing simple math, that the associate should have been able to do, the coupon does not do me any good. I would either like the item I purchased or a coupon to bring me to the same $100 saving. The associate had mentioned the it was not in Dick's Sporting goods to offer rain checks, however I had already purchased the item therefore it would not be a raincheck, my order could have been on back order.
