roblem:I am filing a complaint against NAVIENT (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS SALLIE MAE) for an unresolved issueIt is my belief that NAVIENT (SALLIE MAE) is acting deceptively regarding the student loans they service for the U.SDEPTOF EDUCATIONI completed my formal education with an MBA in the Summer of Prior to the completion of my education in all of my loans were in deferment because I was in schoolAfter graduation my loans went through a number of deferments and/or forbearancesIn 2010, I went through a difficult time which subsequently led to a divorce at the end of During this time I was in communication with Sallie Mae at various times and believed that my loans were either in deferment or forbearance based on what my loans qualified for at the timeI was shocked to learn some time later that some of my loans had gone into a past due statusI was even more shocked and confused when the U.SDEPTOF EDUCATION told me that I had loans in default but that the would help me with rehabilitation so that I could get my loans out of default and have all the negative credit information removed from my credit file(s) (including the negative information reported by the loan servicer because I was told they report of their behalf)I agreed to the rehabilitation even though they should have never gone into this status if the deferment and/or forbearance was applied properly; however I was absolutely horrified that my credit had been impacted and I wanted to move forward with getting the matter resolvedAll of my loans have been rehabilitated and the U.SDEPTOF EDUCATION has removed all negative credit information with respect to my loans from my credit file(s) but NAVIENT refuses to do the sameIn addition, beginning in December I replied to numerous e-mails sent to me by NAVIENT requesting forbearance for my loansI also called NAVIENT multiple times in checking on the status of my loans and was assured my loans were in good standingI called in June in response to an e-mail I received from NAVIENT and spoke with a representative that assured me that the forbearance was approved and I would not have to worry about anything reporting as past due on my credit; yet NAVIENT is reporting me delinquent for the months of July and August 2016.Translate Desired Resolution / OutcomeDesired Resolution:Correction to a credit reportselectDesired Outcome:Correction to my credit file(s) the same as the U.SDEPTOF EDUCATION did with removal of all negative information beginning in Removal/Correction of the July and August past due reporting on my credit file(s) as my loans should have been in forbearance and then in an Income-Driven Repayment Plan there after with a $payment due
