I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. Navient contacted me by phone, apologized by phone, but then refused to make any changes to their behavior. Their refusal to change shows their 'apology' for what it is - a lame and shallow effort to whitewash a set of passive aggressive policies that serve their bottom line at the expense of the time and happiness of their customers. With great and anger and sadness,[redacted]

After speaking to a rep from Navient once they were contacted by the Revdex.com I received a letter showing this account and did not receive a confirmation of payment from them like I was told. I was told that this account was sold to Allied Interstate LLC. I received a letter today from Navient stating it will take 30 days from the time of payment before I will get anything and that they will be updating to creditors as "settled" with an additional comment of "account paid in full for less than full balance". The balance is still not at zero from Navient and at 10:30 am today I received an email from Allied Interstate LLC giving me receipt and confirmation of payment which I will be sending to credit bureaus. So the company they sold it to was able to provide me information even though I had to go through the Revdex.com because they were still calling trying to collect after I paid them. As I told the lady I spoke with it still doesn't settled everything. I still feel they didn't report correctly and in addition to it they want to delay, and add comments in that could affect me in the future. I was told they would report as paid in full by [redacted] from Navient and that it would show a zero balance when I pull my credit report. I have settled with a different company before and they showed it as paid. Had Navient told me back then that private loans can't go into forbearance, this account wouldn't have defaulted. I still don't remember receiving a letter saying it defaulted or that this account was sold off to another person before Allied Interstate LLC. In addition to everything that has been going on they deleted my address on my account. I felt it was a attempt to say they couldn't get a hold of me after I made the complaint to the Revdex.com.

[If a letter was sent on 12/29/2016, I should have received it by now. I would prefer they respond via the Revdex.com site. I would like to know why the response was not a public response and why it had to be mailed to me. This is an attempt to avoid the situation. ]

have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The customer advocate did respond to me and I did not find his solution satisfactory. He simply stated in the letter the three ways an individual can make a loan payment.  No new information was provided  It is unreasonable to force residents living overseas to open a US account solely for the purpose of making payments to Navient.  It is further unreasonable to limit online payments to US bank accounts and to charge for payments made over the phone.  It is discriminatory pricing and further restricts people from paying down their student loan debt quickly.  I have also filed a complaint with the US Department of Education regarding the legality of these practices.  One of Navient's customer service representatives informed me this is an issue with many student loan customers.  If there are so many people experiencing this issue something needs to be done to resolve it.

Problem:On 26 December 2017, Navient applied $525.83 to account number: XXXXXXXXXX, loan number 1-01; and $974.17 to account number: XXXXXXXXXX, loan number 1-02. The instructions included with my payment are as follows: "Enclosed is check #1779 in the amount of $1500.00 for payment towards account number: XXXXXXXXXX, loan number: 1-01. This payment is for account number: XXXXXXXXXX, loan number: 1-01 only. Do not apply any of this payment to account number: XXXXXXXXXX, loan number: 1-02. I will report Navient to the Revdex.com if payment is applied to account number: XXXXXXXXXX, loan number: 1-02."Translate Desired Resolution / OutcomeDesired Resolution:Billing AdjustmentselectDesired Outcome:Navient needs to apply the $1500.00 I send them to account number: XXXXXXXXXX, loan number: 1-01.

Problem:I have already contacted you about this business's practices. I continue to fill out forms per their instructions and they continue to keep sending them to me all over again, informing me they are done incorrectly. I have filled these out 3 times now and sent them in. I always call Navient and ask how to do them to the very letter and it never suffices. I believe they have no clue what they're doing. Each person I have spoken to tells me a different way to fill out the forms and now more of the same ones came in today's mail. This harassment has got to stop. They are completely mishandling my student loan and it's hanging precariously in the balance as a result. In January, this will go into crisis and it will appear as though I have completely neglected to do what was asked of me when that is untrue.Translate Desired Resolution / OutcomeDesired Resolution:Finish the JobselectDesired Outcome:I don't know what more to do. I need a third party to step in and ask them what the problem is and get this handled before it is in chaos. Please don't close my case before this is resolved. It tried to tell you it wasn't and you closed the case anyway.
