Unauthorized charges to my credit cardI agreed to a day trial and they charged me for an entire month without my permission

I canceled my Roomster subscription in July when they started charging me every weekI have emails and verifications showing that my subscription was canceledBUT I was randomly charged in OctoberI contacted the customer service and was told that it was because my subscription wasn’t canceled BUT I have PHYSICAL PROOF and pictures saying that it was canceledThey completed brushed it off and act as if I still had the subscription and I asked them for proof of my "subscription" and their "proof" was an email I have never seen OR ageed toI asked them how could I have an account with them when I am UNABLE TO LOG IN DUE TO NOT HAVING AN ACCOUNT.I tried asking for my money back but the customer service wasn’t helpful at allI decided it’s only I’ll let it go but I never want to deal with this godforsaken scam site ever againCustomer service even verified that I will NEVER be charged againBut on November 6, I was charged ONCE again What can I do to get my money back and why am I being charged for no reason?

I signed up for three days to find q place to live But all day, I've been cut off and having to start over too many times just to send my message to people renting their rooms
I tried contacting customer service and after trying although I was unsuccessful, I was know longer able to log in to my account I wasted my money with this company and would like a refund If I do not log in to cancel I will automatically be charged again for three more days
This is a complete rip off since I can't even log back in to cancelI have not finished my three days and would like too I tried resetting my password and the system would accept any email I enterI will keep trying and I will dispute the charges and future charges with my bank today

I placed an ad on craigslist looking for housingImmediately I got two email responses that directed me to a link for details of what they were offeringBoth of these links took me to Roomster, which I could not get any information from apparently without signing up for a subscription even though there's supposedly a 72-hour free period This was a waste of timeThe responses did not even sound like they were offers appropriate for the situation sought in my add I have actually had a roomster account before and did not get any benefit from itI think they are somehow screening craigslist and trying to suck in CL users in a bait and switch

Tried to sign up for the day trial for $The system kept saying that the address was wrongTherefore I kept tryingI then checked my bank account to see I had been charged times!!! then they take over an hour to respond to my questionthen say that the transaction never went throughWell I have $gone from my account!!! They said that it will be reversed but not whenNOT HAPPY!!!

Roomster offers several different "plans" 1) a $dollar plan which provides a post for roommates for a few days, 2) a more expensive plan that gives you services for a longer period of time and 3) an unlimited plan for When you sithere are large boxes and you must check oneBut, essentially, there is only one plan- a unlimited service because the two shorter plans automatically turn into the unlimited one unless you cancel your plan with themWhen someone is looking for a roommate there is a limited period of time they need services because as soon as they find someone they no longer need to advertise for a roommatethis is the type of service that extinguishes itself No one ever needs an unlimited planFinding a roommate is extremely stressfulThis company hides its true billing policy in fine print I'm angry that I found this all out weeks later (when I got my credit card bill that had dollars in extra fees charged to it when it was obvious in m

So many issues with Roomster.Com Very deceptive business practices with bait-and-switch type advertising They claim free subscription, but you cannot see any of the responses without paying They have apartments listed that are not real And I cannot even into my account now to delete it None of the buttons work There is NO number for customer service, so no way to contact a person I found a number somewhere else, but only got a recording to go onto the site and go to support (which is not working) Going in circles Meanwhile, I am still getting charged

Total scam You click on how long you want to use roomster with the price listed and they automatically set up a $monthly subscription for you Very shady company and take notice that reviews are disabled on their *** Page That says enough right there

This website has maybe REAL person for every fake listings/straight up scammersSad that such a useful site is rendered completely useless by their lack of care in verifying their listings as legitimateTheir customer support is also useless, they just send random pre-made responses until they land on one close to your issue, their support speaks very little broken to NO english if you call them and cannot understand an even slightly complicated questionThe fact they create fake listings and send you fake messages to get you to pay to view said fake messages is blatantly illegalThe fact they still exist is an offense

I agreed to pay $for a day trial, but was charged $I did not agree to this nor gave my permission for them to charge me for that amount which they are claiming is the full membership feeI don't understand how they can charge me when I never read anything that stated they would charge me for the full membershipThey never said I had to take any further action after the day trial was completedI tried calling them, phone line does not workI've emailed, went to social mediaThey have yet to refund me the full $(since they charged me separately for the $that I agreed to)

Negative experience--same sort of thing that others have mentioned hereI sign up for a 5-day subscription (which requires you to also say, "yes, you can charge me for the next month when that subscription ends")I forget about that subscription, call the day after I am charged for the month-long subscription, and I am told repeatedly that they only offer refunds if "there have been no Services rendered to the User"
I eventually got a prorated refund--but only after a lot of time wasted going back and forth with a rather frustrating customer service agent on their website (they offer no phone number to call)I had to specify that I wanted the subscription to end immediately and to not use any of their services for the duration of the new subscription (the remaining days in the month-long subscription)It took a while (I count messages between me and the customer service rep), but they at least get stars because I did eventually get a partial refundUnfortunately, they even charge a 15% "handling fee" on all refunds

I am trying to rent a room in the Washington DC area Roomster has hooked up with *** and Craigslist To inquire about a room, I have to log in with *** For some reason, Roomster has problems with my *** account I have repeatedly submitted messages to Roomster where it says contact them and I have never heard back I am a legitimate, mature professional Roomster is preventing me from renting a room

This company makes it hard to contact them directly (by phone) and do not offer customer service to deal with issues regarding complaints and billingThey replied to my email without understanding even trying to understand my situationCustomer service is horribleI want my money back

This service is useful in connecting you with a large group of people looking for roommatesHowever, you must 'upgrade' your account to even read the messages you receive - which costs moneyWhen you try to cancel this membership, you can't because the link just loads forever and then times outMeaning that they will charge you even if you want to cancelThen when you contact 24/support, it's obvious they don't read your message or care at all because they simply say "use think link to cancel" which is the same link that does not workI will not be disputing the charge/and/or changing cards because I can't get my subscription to cancel and I can't get anyone to give me an actual answerThere is no phone number to callIt is fraud

Horrible, they charged me a monthly subscription of before my trial was over without saying anythingI try to locate them for a refund, there were any way to locate nobody to talk toI made a dispute in my paypal account which escalated to a claim , they cancel my account but not refund, my paypal is waiting for a response from them for weeks but not respond eitherNow my account is cancelled by them I payed for all the month and they don't refund me the money, what kind of company do that? ,this is illegal !!
