I paid to use their service and one day later they blocked my account out of nowhere and cancelled my subscriptionI put in a message and hope I get a reply, but if it's not resolved, then they basically took my money for nothingThis is not the way a business should treat paying customersVery sketchy and unprofessionalI wouldn't recommend
This company makes it hard to contact them directly (by phone) and do not offer customer service to deal with issues regarding complaints and billingThey replied to my email without understanding even trying to understand my situationCustomer service is horribleI want my money back
Roomster's management ought to be ashamed of themselves, preying upon people of lower means with their fraudulent scams! You disgust me and I'll be sure to spread the word on campus and on social media about your crooked, exploitative practices
As hundreds of others noted here, I payed $for a day membership, under the impression that, if I didn't cancel within those days, another $would be charged to my credit card --which was fine with me I am careful when I sign up to things like this and read the fine print
Lo and behold, instead of $5.95, out of nowhere I get charged $and given a "Full Membership" for a month, and denied a refund when I hadn't even entered the site at all after the initial days
When I asked for a refund they sent a template reply which stated that I signed up for the $when I didn't cancel the day membership and that I was free to cancel anytime, but without offering to refund me a prorated fee --which is stated that they offer in their Terms page
This company is the worse, as you can see by their rating Avoid like the grifters that they are
This website is a scam!
They do not notify you of recurring payment charges, and they spam you like crazyTheir customer service is terrible, and there is no way to speak to an actual personPlease use another website!!
On 6/**/I signed up for a day trial on this website for $then on 6/**/I receive an email receipt from *** for $ I call Roomster where you get a voicemail that tells you that they only respond to emails I sent them an email on 6/**/and also 6/**/but to this day have never gotten ANY reply I was able to cancel the membership as of 6/**/but have had no luck on getting my $refunded I hate when companies con people like this, if your service is good then people will buy it & wouldn't need to go through this game they have set up No where in plan site does it state that the membership will automatically be renewed if not cancelled Since my membership was cancelled the same day it was started I think I should be issued a refund, it's obvious it was not used

Second, the structure of the site is well designed to also appear like a non-commercial network for room seekersIt is not clear about it being a commercial enterprise

My daughter downloaded an app but never subscribedIn fact, this app wasn't even listed in the itunes subscription list so how is it that they are charging my credit card $for each of the last weeksI spoke with itunes and they told us to contact the company directIt was near impossible to find their company phone number and when I found it I called it and it doesn't announce their company and only says hello and when you say hello and tell them what you need they just keep saying hellothe second time I called, I just pressed the number and it brought me to a message machineNobody answers I want my credit card reimbursed for these fraudulent charges and I want the Revdex.com to shut this company down They have thousands of complaints throughout the web for the very same issue

I purchased a 5-day access to RoomsterThere was no notification about the automatic renewal after the day period ends at the moment I made the paymentLater, I realized that my account was charged automatically for a 30-day periodI contacted the support, but they keep replying me with automatic messages, which is not helpfulThis is the response they gave me all the time:
"All Roomster subscription charges were authorized by you at the time of purchase via PayPal and a receipt was sent to you with instructions how and when to cancel to avoid any additional charges."
Apparently this doesn't solve the problem for me, since my account is already charged without my consent, and the support is not willing to resolve that problem for me
After I purchased the digital service, I was denied access BOTH to my account and to customer service due to following unverified claim : "Roomster takes member safety and security very seriouslyYou have been reported by other Roomster members as either being a concern, posing a threat, promoting an agenda, being suspicious, using hate speech or acting inappropriatelyWe have investigated this matter and have removed you for one of those reasons."
Since I do not believe myself to be at fault and cannot contact customer service, I am asking for a full refund

They charged my account without authorizationIt says to end the trial but when I tried to log back in it wouldnt let meThere phone number tells you to go online and without being about to get online you cant resolve anythingIF you delete your posting you are not able to talk to their customer service
This company has an unscrupulous way of tricking people into paying for an expensive monthly charge- in order to use the service for only a couple daysSo I paid for the couple days, forgot to cancel, and it charged me around $I noticed the charge and understood it was my fault for not cancelingI immediately unsubscribed which I have a photo to proveNow my account was charged $AGAIN! So I've paid them $for almost zero service and they leave no phone number to call and complainSo I am left to file this complaint
I paid for a "thirty day trail" and was automatically signed up for recurring payments by this company deceptivelyMany people have complained about this as well as filed reports to the Revdex.comThis company was deceptive in its actions hoping that you would not notice continual charges to your papal account for a service where not more time is necessary than thirty days
