After I purchased the digital service, I was denied access BOTH to my account and to customer service due to following unverified claim : "Roomster takes member safety and security very seriouslyYou have been reported by other Roomster members as either being a concern, posing a threat, promoting an agenda, being suspicious, using hate speech or acting inappropriatelyWe have investigated this matter and have removed you for one of those reasons." Since I do not believe myself to be at fault and cannot contact customer service, I am asking for a full refund

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I used the services of this website for four hoursAsked for a refund after filing scammedWs totally deniedI paid for an entire weekI used like 3% of the week and couldn't get any refundThe customer service was terribleJust denied my request completelyI responded to rental ads on [redacted] t an they would send me automated texts sending me back to roomsterThey reporting bait ads to redirect you to their websiteIt's ridiculous DO NOT USE!!!

I came across ads of a similar nature, but I will only address the most recent one I have experience specifically While searching for places to rent on [redacted] , I found what seemed to be a particularly great deal for a room to rent on [redacted] , the kind that seems too good to be true similar to the scams on [redacted] , but this is differentAfter contacting the owner of the advertisement, I shortly after receive a text message asking for me to sign up at a provided link that has been shortened using [redacted] URL shortener, and that soon after we can schedule a time to meet and see the roomIt ends with a "Sorry for the inconvenience."So I followed the link which brings me to the sign up page for RoomsterAfter I finished I replied to the text message, which then returns again asking me to upgrade my account to the member status costing moneyLuckily, during this most recent occurrence of finding one of these ads, I already had a member account, so I replied to each text wi

Greetings I am appalled to find out that this site and business is a complete scam It is all over google I should of did my research before subscription to find a roommate First and foremost roomster continue to charge my card for a subscription I cancled one date lateSecondly on three occasions while looking for a roommate I have attempted to be scammedPeople from different numbers making up an entire life story and sending pictures then asking me to wire money ! Through via text or email I have proof of all the scammers This business sand website should be shut down ! The reviews are also fake !

I only became aware of roomster after I posted an ad on craigslist looking for a roommate Within minutes I started receiving multiple texts/emails like this one: Hi, I’m AnnaI saw your add & interested alsoU should take a look at my profile that one I posted here: [redacted]   contact me The link, of course, takes you to roomster's website but you won't see a profile That's because to actually see someone's profile you need to have a paid subscription I've never met John SS [redacted] , the founder and CEO of roomster But I can tell you this: I wouldn't trust him as far as I can my house

So I was on Roomster.com I set up looking for a roommate When I was cancel the subscript before March [redacted] It told me system errorSo the next day I see they charge my card

I signed up for a $day trial to [redacted] and provided my Credit card (MC) information I have then been charged various charges at the beginning of every month since I provided my credit card in March for the 15-day trial ($20.37) and have since received the following charges: -- $ -- $ -6/*/- $ I disabled my account in April and the charges continued I cancelled my account in May and the charges continued I have contact [redacted] and they only provide support for active accounts (which I had to disable because of the continuous charges) I no longer have an account and am still receiving charges to my credit card!

I subscribed to a full membership through the Roomster app on my mobile device The membership I paid was a short trial of five days per $on I read the terms of use and I acknowledged that there was an automatic renewal if I didn't cancel my paid membership before the end of the subscription periodI also made sure to read how to cancel the subscription in the terms of use of the company: "You can cancel your Full Membership subscription at any time by (i) logging in to the Service, (ii) clicking on the “Settings” button located under the “Account” tab found on your member home page, and (iii) clicking on the “Subscription” link and choosing “Cancel my Subscription” The problem is that according to these instructions which you can find on their website, there should be a button or link to cancel the subscriptionNone of these things are available, and there are no further instructions on their website and support service So by making this process unfriendly, and

I recently posted a ad on [redacted] , I get a bogus email from a "person" claiming they were interested and I opened her email and it had info about Roomster, so I started to looking to it and I thought it seemed legit. I opened an account, posted my room available to rent and while dealing with the site, it was a terrible experience. The site was SO slow! It took me over an hour just to make a profile. Then I started to get non stop emails. Almost 20 emails in 72 hours. Most of them saying the exact same thing. They kept sending me messages telling me I had unread messages, so when I clinked on the link, I'm not kidding, it took over 10 minutes for the site to open. Then it popped up- 3 day- $6 15 days-$15 30 days- $50!!!!! (I'm rounding the numbers) But $50 for 30 days???? WHAT? Of course I couldn't open my messages, but that didn't stop the system from non stop emails. I clicked unsubscribe and that of course took another 5 minutes. Also, I tried this on other connections, computers and tried shutting my system down and nothing worked. It was a terrible experience. I sent their customer support a message telling them how frustrated I am. Telling them I'm frustrated with their slow system. Their cost. Their trick on messaging and the constant emails. I get a message shortly after I sent that saying they deleted my account because they didn't like my email. In no way did I swear at them, use abusive language or threaten them. I told them the truth and the frustration from a customers point of view. Please, ask them to POST my original email. If they can't handle a customer who is having a terrible experience with their site, maybe this isn't the best line of work for them.

I subscriped to a trial subscription that was for days on FridayNavigated the the website for a comtact number and how to cancel the subscription because I was not satisfied with what was offered when I was charged at 5:for a renewal subscription for a regular memberI immediately contacted the site admin through the website as I found that they have no contaxt number postedBut recieved no response for the rwo times I tried to send them messages to refund my accountI have since successfully canceled my subscription but have yet to hear back from there website AdminOr Customer Service

I posted my room on this site for a trial for a few days and paid for these few daysSoon I found out I was charged on my credit card for another monthI never agreed or notified of any auto renewalI tried to contact their customer service They are very difficult and rude customer serviceOn their website and purchase order email, there is already an intimidating message warning about customer charge back that they will report to collection bureau and screw customer's credit score basicallyIt's very unpleasant and annoying to see this and you should already know it's a bad businessThey are doing this because it has happened to a lot of customersIt's a scam because they purposefully made the policy hidden so no customers can see I did not receive anything in my email order confirmation that I will be renewed without my consent Even for the trail period, I received some emails, all those are useless and fake messagesIt's not targeted and is basically distributed t

Shady practicesI canceled my subscription and account yet the company still continued to charge meThey advertise 24/support which is an email option, which is claimed "often replies in minutes" which is far from validI tried contacting them through this with little resultI had to go to my credit card company to dispute the charge

The only reason I'm giving them stars instead of is because I did eventually receive a pro-rated refund, but only after I pressed them about a passage in their own Terms of Service saying I was entitled to one I signed up for a day trial and forgot to cancel before the next billing periodObviously, that's on me, but I contacted customer service anyway to see if I could get a refundNot only was CS slow to respond (average wait time was about minutes per message), but their replies were extremely curt and tactless, essentially amounting to "not our problem." Again, their Terms of Service specifically mention pro-rated refunds for people in my exact situation, but CS was more than content to ignore this fact until I found their refund policy in the TOSEven when I brought it up, they claimed I was ineligibleWhen I asked for clarification, mentioning Revdex.com reviews from other users who had received refunds, they finally relented Their final email states they "want to be as clear and transparent...as possible," but Customer service was anything butI'm just glad I used my Paypal account instead of an actual credit card

This Website is BSI created an account and paid for it on 5/30/and on 6/4/they charged me tripple of what I paid for on 5/then on 6/5/they delete my account

I registered a day trial account with $at [redacted] July At [redacted] August 2016, I found out it automatically charge a $fee, which I have never heard ofI thought it is going to cut my service automatically rather than charge me unawareThe company took my money direct debiting my accountThey hide the direct debit in the terms and condition and on a side noteI ask the customer service about that and it emphasized I signed the proof of authorization and threaten me, if I dispute the issue with it, it will notify the credit bureausLater, I research the company on the internet and found out that it has a long history of scamming its customer with this methodThe company is a habitual offender at scamming customerI have no idea how to communicate with this habitual offender who has scamming its poor customer all over the years for refundTherefore, I try to reach out for Revdex.com for help and to disclose their unethical and dishonesty, which is the least I can do

I paid for a "thirty day trail" and was automatically signed up for recurring payments by this company deceptivelyMany people have complained about this as well as filed reports to the Revdex.comThis company was deceptive in its actions hoping that you would not notice continual charges to your papal account for a service where not more time is necessary than thirty days

I started using Roomster in hopes of finding a room for the fall semesterHowever, after I signed up I noticed you could not receive messages unless you paid for a subscriptionRoomster offers a 3, 5, and day subscription I purchased a Roomster day trail for on the [redacted] of JulyOnce a purchased the day trail I was able to retrieve the messages I had waiting in my inbox however the messages seemed scandalous and everyone you contact never responds backIn addition, a few days later I noticed that unauthorized additional was taken out of my account Roomster has no way for customers to contact them except for their on 24/help desk but they do not respond in a timely mannerI have asked them several times for a refund only to be told that if I dispute the charges I will be sent over to a collections agency

I was told online that my trial subscription ended on 11/** and that I would be charged on that date I went online and cancelled my trial on 11/** and was still charged on 11/** I went back on the site and saw that it said that I never cancelled (absolutely not true) I cancelled again and reached out to the company I have been arguing with them for days I have tried the phone number listed but it directs you back to the site and hangs up on you The messages I keep receiving from "support" do not make sense and do not address the issue I'm so upset and need to be refunded for $ This is infuriating

Hello,
I was not able to cancel my subscription every time you try to cancers description I would say process could not be completed please come back laterI tried talking with support I got no response I tried for a week and then I was charged $for an additional fee when I could not cancel the subscription and then support answered but then would not respond with text after that I took screenshots There's no way to speak with anybody via telephone or a higher up automated responses in canceling my subscription but still charge $ They will not respond to any techs in that's only way to contact them I don't know how to proceed further renounce up report this to the Revdex.comIs anyone has any way of contacting them to try to get a refund of the money that you want able to cancel on please let me knowThank you

Although I find Roomster's services rewarding, I find the business practices of the company deceptive, misleading and incriminatingThe agency unfairly prey on its customer base to secure banking information then use it as its very own personal ATM machine
I subscribed to Roomster at an introductory rate of $on March **, Three days later my account was automatically charged $I’ve called several times only to go through an extensive voice prompted system that constantly reference its customer to the website
The website is a juggernaut of prompts and coded messages protecting the company from human interaction by placing its theft on the consumerAlthough it is or should be unlawful to seal from its customer base, new startups like Roomster continue to hide behind technology as a way to bilk millions from consumersWhen I finally was able to get my account canceled, I received a back dated message indicating my Day Trial was canceled (see attached notice
