List of a room on Craigslist and for two days have gotten totally spammed buy fake notifications of interested parties and everyone leads back to the room store sign up formThis is advertising or misrepresentation at the very least

Roomster is exploiting *** users by sending dozens of text messages to room posters, such as myself posing as individuals interested in the room however they require you sign up and pay for their service to see their profile My inbox is full of this malicious spam

As others have said, Roomster is a scam, pure and simple Roomster, likely under the guise of affiliates, posts dozens of, sometimes incredibly detailed, rental posts on craigslist.org with attractive amenities and/or prices Upon contacting the emails or phone numbers listed on these posts inquiring about the rentals, you are told to sign up first at a given webpage which, regardless of the address, redirects to *** Roomster then requires you to sign up in order to view the available rentals in the area, however none of the original craigslist properties for which you were initially inquiring are real In addition, to communicate with the actual posted rentals on Roomster, you must pay to access your "messages" for spans as short as days for $16, and yet these messages are not real, nor are the rentals listed on Roomster itselfRoomster's fraudulent activities are illegal advertising, and violate Federal Trade Commission regulations As a local example, it seems an enormous proportion of craigslist rental posts in Los Angeles, perhaps as much as 50% of all posts, are Roomster scams These scams are in direct violation of the California Business and Professions Code §§ et seq., also know as the Unfair Competition Law Should the Revdex.com choose not to pursue action against Roomster, I will be seeking suit against the company for its fraudulent practices in California Superior Court, and I encourage others to who have been scammed by Roomster to research advertising laws in their local jurisdictions and consider pursuing similar litigation Do not take seriously the apparent attempts of a Roomster representative to make threats against these reviews claiming that they are "slander"this person does not know the difference between slander and libel (which these written statements would be were they libelous) which they are not as they contain factual accounts of Roomster's illegal activities I have included below a few of Roomster's lines attempting to scam craigslist visitors to sign up on their website, and pay to access additional features such as the Roomster inbox"* ** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** * *** ** *** *** ***"

DO NOT USE THIS SITE! I purchased the day subscription and at no point I was told that I would be charged $the second my days was up! The only phone number available just sends you to an operator saying "*** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** * *** ** ***" I tried the *** helpit does not lead you to help, it simply takes you to your profileI also did the refund for which I only am supposed to get $back when I only had the account for days after my days endedComplete crap of a companyI think it is sad that the operator automatically tells you that a refund is available, shows that they are completely aware of the disgusting scam they created

I subscribed to a service with RoomsterDuring the subscription and payment their system went down and I was told to come back laterI did that and I was subscribed to one service for a re-occurring chargeLater on I realized that I am charged each month 2x for the one service I subscribed toWhile Roomster's provides me with receipt for one payment, my bank is sending two paymentsI asked for a refund for this extra payment but was refused assistance with an argument that the payment was authorized and to read the receiptThe receipt, however, does not correspond with the actual paymentsI keep receiving the same reply over and over even though I provided with exact paypal numbers referring to two different payments and explain myself several timesI can provide evidence that there were two payments each month instead of one

I registered with Roomster for $for a 3-day trialThey automatically renewed my subscription without my approval for $45.95! When I contacted them, they directed me to a screenshot of the original transaction, which did in small print say that they would auto-renew (obviously they are prepared for this interaction as many people have reported complaints)I had not noticed this section before

This company is a scam, I agreed to pay 5$ train, they sent me a receipt to my junk mail saying they are charging me $Then they charge you 29$ subscription! And this is not clearly indicated anywhere nor do they ask for your permission to charge after trail ends! This is a nasty business! I want my refund also! There was no real landlords on site I contacted over people who all responded with automatic responses asking me for my bank details and pictures of passport as well as telling me to deposit money! When I purchased a Day subscription it was not clear that they would auto renew me for daysIf anything they should auto renew for the same subscription and send an email regarding it that is clearI never saw any notification during checkout that I would be auto renewed for a full days if I did not cancel within daysThey have no way to call anyone, it was practically impossible to find their messaging system because you have to scroll to the very bottom and messages are embedded in a page, not on a page titled "messages"I never thought to look down there to see this message

Roomster's trial offer automatically renews without prior notificationOnce you are notified that your *** has been charged again, they refuse to offer a refundI contacted the customer service within hours of receiving notification of that my plan was automatically renewed, and the (CS) keeps responding with automated messages about their policyI wish I would have looked them up on Revdex.com before-hand, I see this deceptive practice has been going on a long time and hasn't changedAlso, many profiles are either outdated, or fake, some of the pictures flaunt attractive women with many pictures that seem a bit excessive for a profile for finding a place to stay

I do not like that your company is setting up fake profiles on craigslist to lure in people with prices and places that are not out thereThen you charge people to see messages but you never get one back from the lure profiles that you wantits a marketing scam and I hate being apart of any business that lies flat out and trys to trick people into buying stuff
