I subscriped to a trial subscription that was for days on FridayNavigated the the website for a comtact number and how to cancel the subscription because I was not satisfied with what was offered when I was charged at 5:for a renewal subscription for a regular memberI immediately contacted the site admin through the website as I found that they have no contaxt number postedBut recieved no response for the rwo times I tried to send them messages to refund my accountI have since successfully canceled my subscription but have yet to hear back from there website AdminOr Customer Service
I only agreed to the $day subscription and they charged me $after days for the whole monthI was not given the option to extend it for days for less amount or notified they would be charging the $I asked for a refund and they declinedAs a college student looking for a room, I cannot afford $extra charge on top of the $initial chargeThank you
I signed up for three days to find q place to live But all day, I've been cut off and having to start over too many times just to send my message to people renting their rooms
I tried contacting customer service and after trying although I was unsuccessful, I was know longer able to log in to my account I wasted my money with this company and would like a refund If I do not log in to cancel I will automatically be charged again for three more days
This is a complete rip off since I can't even log back in to cancelI have not finished my three days and would like too I tried resetting my password and the system would accept any email I enterI will keep trying and I will dispute the charges and future charges with my bank today
I have tried to resolve issues regarding privacy and *** interest links with RoomsterI have attempted to reach them through social media
I signed up as required through the *** appI purchased a day trial membership - twiceI realized once I reviewed my profile all my personal and private "*** interests" were now displayingI asked customer support how to remove repeatedlyI panicked because of the personal nature of these interests put my safety at risk
I deleted my accountI waited for customer service to resolveAs I still wanted to use this service, I created another account with limited information and again a 15day trial membershipI was open and honest in all communications with potential roommates and explained reason why Roomster removed my account for violating their terms of service
This is an unethical company that boarders advertisement I found an ad for a room on CL and the person I wrote to sent a link to RoomsterThe ad said the room was being rented out by a male roommate, however they sent an email from a sender with a woman's name and a link to RoomsterI signed up and it turns out that you have to pay to see any messages sent to youI paid the membership and I have not heard from individual since I signed up and I did not see a place for rent in the area the room was said to be locatedThis same situation happened again with another ad I found online that sent an email with a link to Roomster, again I did not see the room posted on the free website on Roomster
My bank refund my money, I told them is a scam and they use robots/employees to message you and never get to chat more than answers to "the interested person" all fake fraudulent profiles with *** linked profiles with only pic in the profile lol, If you been fooled by this company call your bank and tell them is a scam corporation
I responded to a fraudulent listing on Craigslist and was directed to this siteThey are using listings to generate trafficI am also filing a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer ProtectionThe company should be shut down
I ordered day subscription for $ on 12.**which proved to be completely useless as no one has replied to my ad and messages (looks like the people are not real!)Then I received a “message” (which was later removed once I paid !!!) but could not open it as my subscription had expired, so I bought another day subscription on *** for $
Then on *** I was charged $for the subscription I never ordered, did not authorize and simply don’t need!
I contacted the customer support regarding this issue but they were not helpful
This site is a complete scam, I did not have person from there to view the room (and I had around from another website), the profiles are not real, and they send fake messages to trick you into buying the subscription!
And in addition they keep charging once the subscription you ordered is over?!
Roomster is a waste of time and moneyALL scams, took day trial & WOW.-REALLY BADOne email sent me addresses with different pics of girls were same pictures of the roomContacts my email.,Okay lets see this place? Oh, I'm in California mom is in hosp., but a courier can give you keys after you make a deposit? Are you kidding me, is anybody that stupid?????????????????????????
I posted my room on this site for a trial for a few days and paid for these few daysSoon I found out I was charged on my credit card for another monthI never agreed or notified of any auto renewalI tried to contact their customer service They are very difficult and rude customer serviceOn their website and purchase order email, there is already an intimidating message warning about customer charge back that they will report to collection bureau and screw customer's credit score basicallyIt's very unpleasant and annoying to see this and you should already know it's a bad businessThey are doing this because it has happened to a lot of customersIt's a scam because they purposefully made the policy hidden so no customers can see I did not receive anything in my email order confirmation that I will be renewed without my consent
Even for the trail period, I received some emails, all those are useless and fake messagesIt's not targeted and is basically distributed t
Hi,
I enrolled for a three day trial period paid $and they did not say about automated enrollment of monthly subscriptionThey charged me $on February *** and sent me a mail on February 5th, which eventually moved to my spam folderI noticed from my bank that they have charged me.on February ***I right away requested them for cancellation and reimbursement (within days of billing), explaining the factBut they don't want to reimburse the money and repeatedly saying that they sent mail, even though the mails sometimes go to spam as they sent a lot of mailsMoreover, it should be mentioned specifically online that they will charge after trial period
My year old daughter asked me if she could use my credit card to sign up for a service to help her then, boyfriend, find a roommate to live withShe said the service was $to sign up and free for the basic program, unless you wanted to upgrade and then it was $She looked around for places for him on the site that day, but it didn’t really pan out, so we didn’t really use it againMonths later, I found charges on my Chase Bank Card for this service for a monthly fee of $I immediately tried to call the phone number associated with the charge, which is NOT a functioning numberI tried looking for another one, the company doesn’t have one PERIOD!! There is no way to get ahold of them by home or speak to anyone! I figured out how to get into the app and sent a message to the billing departmentThe only way to do this, is to retentions you are looking for a rental or have a rental, or you cannot get to the screen to contact the company!! Everything they do is a compl
I posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a room for rent, and in day I have received text messages from different phone numbers telling me to sign up on Roomster in order to view their room for rentThere is never a room for rent, they are just getting me to sign upWhen I push them to show me information about the room, they get violent and threatening
I contracted for days of service and paid $and then they billed me for $thereafter I understand that there are several similar complaints on the internet and that this is their business practice
This company is definitely a SCAMThey secretly charge you a reoccurring charge of $after your "Trial" is overNot sure about everyone else but I expect for the trial to be over and that's itNot to be charged $to use a website when craigslist is just as sketchy and completely freeAfter you complain of the charges they have a *** employee copy and paste what they say to everyone they scamNow they're going to reply to this saying it's a lieGo ahead-waiting-
*** uses phone numbers collected from the 'housing offered' ad page in *** to contact users through VOIP numbers linked to fake accounts in their website All text messages contain a link which directs you to sign up and pay for their services before you can access the messages of those who initially contacted you
I WAS CHARGED 29.95$ AFTER MY DAY SUBSCRIPTION ENDED I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS TRANSACTION AND THERE IS NO CONTACT INFORMATION BESIDES AN EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH NO ONE IS HELPING ME GET MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fake profiles photos of attractive females pretending to own a house with rooms for rentThey do not respond to any messages you sent in order to make business transactionsThere are fees to pay as why you can't receive any response backDid a week subscription and my card was automatically charged $for another daysAfter paying these fees, I still haven't found a room to rent and never got any messages back from the "owners"being very suspicious, I immediately froze my bank account to prevent any more future charges
Searching through *** I came across many different postings looking for a roommateDuring email communication I was repeatedly sent masked links (links that masked the real website) these links redirected me over and over again to Roomster which kept prompting me to sign up for a subscription in order to continue inquiring about these rooms I was interested inThis kept happening over and over again with different listings and I eventually paid for the subscriptionNow I realize it was a total scam and that these people and these listings don’t really existI am currently trying to ban all further transactions from this company, if they choose to behave in this way I am absolutely sure they will also give me the run around with canceling my "subscription"I’m not even going to try and deal with them, I will be dealing with my credit cards fraud department and the police if necessary
I only became aware of roomster after I posted an ad on craigslist looking for a roommate Within minutes I started receiving multiple texts/emails like this one: Hi, I’m AnnaI saw your add & interested alsoU should take a look at my profile that one I posted here: *** contact me
The link, of course, takes you to roomster's website but you won't see a profile That's because to actually see someone's profile you need to have a paid subscription
I've never met John SS***, the founder and CEO of roomster But I can tell you this: I wouldn't trust him as far as I can my house
