Columbus Real Estate Pros Reviews (329)

I would like to share my experience with Columbus Real Estate Pros aka Property Management ProsI can say that I have not one complaint for this rental companyFrom the start of our walk-through at our rental home, through the application process and into our living situation, Property Management Pros always went above and beyond the call of dutyThey handled our maintenance requests either that day or ensure they would be out the following dayThey have made rental payments and maintenance requests almost TOO convenient on their client portal website, making your busy life much easierI HIGHLY recommend them to anyone just starting out to rent, trying to get out of a difficult rental situation as well as long time rentersThank you Property Management Pros!!

I am a property owner who uses Property Management Pros (AKA Columbus Real Estate Pros) for the management of a rental propertyI have had a host of problems, but I am only going to focus on the current one that I haveI received an owners statement towards the end of April showing a balance due to me from rental income just like every other monthHowever, this month the deposit never made it's way to my bank accountI have exchanged several emails with the representative I deal with who has told me she has done everything from cancel and resend the ACH deposit, to me needing to check with my bankI checked with my bank this past Friday, and no ACH was attempted to my account from Property Management ProsSince then I have been unable to get a response from my representativeI am not sure what the deal is, or if I will every be paidI am switching management companies next month, and I really hope the new company I am going with does a better jobI use a management company so I don't have to spend my time dealing with these types of thingsIt is very frustrating when I have to spend my time and energy dealing with issues that I feel I am paying them to handleI am going to give it until the end of the week to have this payment issue resolvedAfter that I am going to ask my attorney to get involvedI don't know what else to doit's not that the people I have dealt with from Property Management Pros are mean or rude, I just can't get a resolution from them and the communication is very poorI would look elsewhere for property management services

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this former customer's concerns We apologize for any delay and assure these former valued customers that this was completely unintentional Check # *** has already been issued and mailed to this former tenant at the forwarding address
provided for a full refund of $ We would expect that they are already in receipt of said monies at this time and have not been advised otherwise.Should they not be in receipt of them, we would be more than happy to research this matter and would simply ask that they contact us in writing at our general support email for this market if this is not the case We have personally reached out to the former customer to communicate this directly as well At this time, in lieu of additional inquiries or otherwise, we will consider this matter closed We appreciate the opportunity to be of service and affirm, in writing, that this matter was concluded in full keeping with the requested remedy of the complainant

To whom it may concern,We appreciate the tenant reaching out for clarification on the charges that were added to their account in accordance with their lease which designates (please see Section of the attached)An attempt was made to reach out to the complainant from management to go over these
in the course of also contacting a member of the maintenance team about themThe complainant, unfortunately, did not afford us the ability to discuss any of these matters and, rather, chose to immediately lodge this complaint with the Revdex.com rather than provide our team any opportunity to address their concernsTheir account was fully audited and billings that were missing were added to their accountAll of the invoices are available and we are more than happy to share those as complete transparency is always our goal in providing the best customer serviceAll the invoices as well as the complainant's full account ledger have been made available to them electronically to avoid any inconvenience or delay in getting them the information requested We appreciate all our valued residents and look forward to remedying this grievance to the best of our ability in accordance with the signed lease agreement

I entered into a property management agreement with Real Estate Pros on 1/12/for management services of a property that I own in Medina, OH I had no issues with the company until I sent a termination of property management agreement on December 11, via email to Danielle W**b, the local property manager, and Brett ***, the Director of Ohio Operations At this time, Real Estate Pros owed me $for a tenant's rent and I had $in an owner reserve account Once Real Estate Pros received the termination letter, I was unable to reach Danielle W**b or Brett S*** via phone or email My wife sent emails to Brett regarding this issue on 12/9, 12/11, 12/16, 12/23, 1/4, and 2/including calling at least once a week She did speak to him once on 12/and he assured her that he would take care of the deposit within two business days He also agreed that the management fees for January ($79) would be taken out of the owner reserve, our contract would be terminated,

In April of this year after a quick internet search I contacted Real Estate Pros to manage my residential rental property located at ** *** Ct, Amherst Ohio I was instructed to complete some online forms and send them an operating reserve of dollarsA few days after sending them the operating reserve I contacted Samantha S*** at the Independence, Ohio office and informed her I would be moving into the property instead of renting it out and that I would not need their servicesI requested that she refund my dollar operating reserve and she said to expect it in a couple weeksThey never performed any services related to renting the property and yet nearly three months later, I have not received my refundIn addition, they have been charging me a dollar per month management fee! I have tried to contact them several times via email and phone and I have received a few responses from Samantha stating she is working on itI will not pay the "property management f

I hired Columbus Real Estate Pros to manage my condo in Canal Winchester since I no longer live in the area I signed a contract for their property management services for one year In May, my tenant moved out and they began advertising to find a new one They found one and let me know that the property was going to be rented and she would move in on 7/ On 5/at 4:PM, they emailed me to let me know that the new tenant had changed her mind due to a work situation and she was no longer interested in renting the condo They said that they would put my condo back on the market and continue to work hard to find a new tenant Once I received the email, I called them on 5/at 12:PM to let them know that they did not need to continue looking because I had decided (after hearing that the tenant was no longer interested) that I would sell the condoNo one answered, so I left a messageI also sent an email on 5/at 12:PM stating that I had just left them a message an

Dear Mr***We invite you as we have done already to participate in a mediation to resolve your perceived short coming's of a Management Company. As you know we have worked for months and had dozens and dozens of communications in person and in writing to resolve issues caused
by construction on the property next to yours. It is unclear to us why you would air your differences in the Revdex.com process after the standing offer had been made as well as you engaging council to represent you. As communicated to you previously our opinion is that you issues are probably best addressed with an insurance company. There is no response through the Revdex.com process that would be appropriate at this time. First, they tried to charge us for rent after our lease was upOur lease was up in June of 2017, and they tried to charge us rent for July We never signed another lease with them, and we told them to use our security deposit to cover June's rent of $1,(Which is legal according to Ohio state law)Then they sent us a letter, saying that we owe them for additional charges such as a door removal and rehanging, when we never removed any doors; a missing smoke detector when it was already missing when we moved in; a shower that already had black mold when we moved in; an unsafe deck, that we asked repeatedly for it to be replaced; faulty wiring throughout the house, that we asked to be fixed numerous times; broken basement stairs, that we asked them to fix numerous times; and the carpet stains that were there when we first moved inThey even did multiple in-house inspections about EACH YEAR (we moved into the house May of and left June 2017, so years making it i

We appreciate the candor of Mr***’s complaint, however, the issue is not with our company, the issue is with the tenants the client had in place at the time of the inception of our relationshipReal Estate Pros did as directed in attempting to turn a bad situation with a non paying tenant
into a more positive situation with a tenant who pays accordingly and brings the client cash flow each month as desiredThis is a very difficult and time consuming task which we have been charged with and have acted in the best interest of the client in enforcing the expectation that rent will be paid each monthI understand Mr*** purchased properties in which the tenants already in place have previously been allowed to ignore any terms of a lease agreement which has caused an unexpected hardship upon the client when the purchase was madeReal Estate Pros, did in fact collect the funds in question and accounted for the funds per the terms of the contract shared by Real Estate Pros and Mr*** as well as disbursed any funds available to the owner, once these funds were availableIn such a circumstance when money is expected and is not available it may cause anxiety which in turn the client expects a much higher level of communication than can be delivered when our staff is working on multiple properties as well as working to obtain the funds which the client is seekingHowever, we have shared with Mr*** any progress and will continue to do so as we manage several similar situations due from the purchase decisions of Mr***

I lived at *** * *** St until March of this yearI was renting a condo from the owner, who was using Real Estate Pros as the property managerAfter multiple complaints about Real Estate Pros from myself, my roommate and the owner, he decided to switch to *** Property Management in August of Real Estate Pros was supposed to send our security deposit of $to ***, which they never didThe owner then sold the condo in and again reached out to Real Estate Pros to have them mail our deposit to *** which they refused because they said the owner owed for repairs ( that were never actually done) so they were holding our security deposit until he paid themWhich is illegalWe are owed our security deposit and I have tried to call them, with no return phone callsI was told by one rep that he would look into and then he never called me backI have still yet to have anyone return my voicemails, or emails

Dear Bruce,I had not replied to earlier messages in the complaint because I wanted to wait until I actually receive the settlement money from Columbus Real Estate Pros The money posted to my account today, and I wanted to enter a message on the Revdex.com website that I received the balance to be fair to Columbus Real Estate Pros The message I wanted to enter is as follows: "I received the reserve account amount and the renter's security deposit today and I also received an updated account statement reflecting the transfer of the deposit to me and removing the fees I have not yet received a release document regarding account closure I requested an updated statement to the renter as well."If possible, please post this message to be fair to the company rather than stating that I was dissatisfied Thank you,***

after being a tenant for almost months, I was days late on a payment due to travel I attempted to pay online was given a message on their site that they wouldn't take my payment, with no further comment in addition to a late fee, they charged a dollar evicition letter fee but I hadn't received any communication from them
the next day, after incurring another dollar daily late fee since they wouldn't take my payment the day prior, I left multiple Voice mails until they finally called back at the very end of they day the informed me that when paying late, they only accept certified funds, which they claim is in the contract, but their agent never told me that additionally, I asked about they dollar eviction letter fee, they stated that something was put on my door I explained it was not then I said what about sending me an email he said they did, but I recievved nothing so they charged dollars for an eviction threat they never actually did

Issue #1-- I am a tenant who just moved into the propertyBefore I moved in, Brian C*** (agent) notified me that the rent/deposit was $and application fee was $He failed to notify me of service feesJust prior to signing the lease agreement was I aware of any service feesNo mention of service fees on their website-- nothingIf I had known about the service fees I would not have put in my application or paid the deposit (which they stated was non-refundable)I called Brian and had one service fee removed, but they did not remove the other service feeI would like to have that service fee removed as well
Issue #2-- When I first viewed the property, Brian told me he would have the carpets cleanedWell, today was my move in day and not only was the carpets not cleaned, it was filthy with obvious stains-- throughout the unitAnd, the entire house smells foulThe kitchen has grime on the floorIt is obvious that the unit was not cleaned out prior to my move-in

Very respectfully, we have already apologized We have already taken action At this point, this has become a subjective, not objective, argument in a public forum The resolution has already been delivered; there is nothing left to accept or decline Again, we have appreciated the business of this former client and wish them the best with their property

The only good this company did was to find me a decent tenant and I would gladly have paid them a fee for that but they were incompetent, had property managers turn over in less than years and spent my moeny without communicating for work that did not need to be done in many cases They still have not released my tenant's deposit of $to me despite numeroud unanswered communications

We are terminating our relationship because I have fired them They failed to return multiple phone calls from myself and my tenants about issues for months They failed to reply to emails also This has been an ongoing issue for over a year.I understand they want a release signed, but that release absolves Real Estate Pros of all wrong doing and says that there will be no legal action That release is not going to be signed They are fired as of Friday April when I finally received a call from Karen F* I was told that I would see funds paid out to me early 'next week' It is Wednesday and there has been not one cent paid out Nor has then been a response to my most recent email I want the full accounting of the accounts including copies of invoices and proof of authorization (I am disputing that proper authorization was received for many of the items that they did) While I want an amicable resolution to this situation, if I do not see funds very shortly (by the end of the week), I will seek legal counsel

RealEstatePros of Ohio rented out our home in Sheffield Lake , for one year after the year was up we did not renew our contract with RealEstatePros, because they charged us over $for a repair, that they never preformed, did not return our maintenance deposit at the end of our contract, tried to evict our tenant, after our contract was up with RealEstatePros, and tried to past themselves off as still representing us the, the home owner.they would return very few phones calls or e-mails, We had to hire a lawyer to get back the return of our tenant security depositI will NEVER EVER NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN>

My property is being managed by this company I have not been paid and they are not returning my calls

On the account ledger you can see that the water and sewer amounts due were added to our monthly rent and were paid on time in full! As of 3-4/our account was zeroon 3/23/current water and sewer amounts were added then on 3/30/four outstanding water and sewer amounts were added dating back to 9/
As the account ledger states we have paid $in water and sewer from 1-26-/ 1/23/
We have only had two actual water and sewer bills uploaded to our internet account, I would need to see a current water and sewer bill stating that these amount are indeed past due for the property on *** *** BLVD and a explanation as to where our payments were applied!
I’m disputing the following sewer and water past due amounts:
Water Service 9-12-16/12-12- $
Sewer Service 9-12-16/12-12- $
Water Service 1-9-17/2-7- $
Sewer service 1-9-17/2-7-$
