Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. received Ms. [redacted] complaint. We apologize if Ms. [redacted] received additional calls. In Ms. [redacted] complaints, she does provide the number she is receiving calls to. I have marked all possible numbers that I have found for her on our "Do Not Call List". The phone number of [redacted] has also been updated to our do not call list as of today.

Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. has received your dispute. On 04/14/2016 PayPal, Inc. placed this account in our office to collect a balance on their behalf. On 04/18/2016, the account was closed and returned to our client per their request. In response to your communication, the account is closed in our office and has been returned to our client, PayPal, Inc. Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. has received Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint. Our client, Jefferson Capital Systems,LLC, placed the above referenced Fingerhut Direct Marketing account with us for collections initially on11/17/2015, to collect a balance of$213.69.
Upon investigation of...

Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint all of the phone calls have been reviewed. On 12/10/2015 and12/22/2015, it was found that the party on the phone identified themselves as Mrs. [redacted]. Both the agentswho handled the phone calls identified themselves as well as the company. Mrs. [redacted] was asked to verifyher address or last four of her social security number to ensure we were speaking with the correct partybefore releasing personal private information. Mrs. [redacted] did not feel comfortable providing theinformation and the calls were ended.
On 05/31/2016, when calling [redacted] a male answered the phone. The agent stated her name andasked to speak with Mrs. [redacted]. The male asked "who is the bill collector''. The agent asked if she had thecorrect number. The male responded to the agent "yes and who is the bill collector calling?" When the agentasked if Mrs. [redacted] was available the male said he had a right to know who was calling. The agent tried toadvise that she had provided her name when the party said "goodbye" and hung up.
Convergent Outsourcing is not able to provide personal and private information to an unauthorized party. Mr.[redacted] did not identify himself as Mrs. [redacted]'s spouse.
In this complaint Mrs. [redacted] states we are using a Locksmiths name on the internet To further investigatethis matter we would need further information. What was the phone number Mrs. [redacted] used to search onthe internet? What was the site that provided her this information? Convergent Outsourcing does not useother company's names to identify ourselves.
In response to this complaint, Convergent Outsourcing has ceased communication as requested. The phonenumber [redacted] and [redacted] have been placed on our "do not call" list. Our client has alsonotified us that, in order to resolve Mrs. [redacted]'s dispute, they too have terminated collection efforts."We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused and appreciate the opportunity to respond.

[redacted]  Dear Ms. [redacted], Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. has investigated this complaint. To address Ms. [redacted] statement that she was advised this account would not affect her credit report, I reviewed the recorded phone calls associated with her account. Below is the review.  On 3/5/15, one of our agents offered Ms. [redacted] a settlement to resolve her account. The agent advised her that by doing a settlement, she could not return to [redacted] as a customer unless the balance in full was paid. During the conversation, Ms. [redacted] stated, ‘I would really like it off my credit.’ The agent did not make any comment regarding Ms. [redacted] credit report. Ms. [redacted] was unable to secure the arrangements during this phone call. At this point in time, this account had not been placed on Ms. [redacted] credit report. On 4/13/15, Ms. [redacted] called in to take advantage of the settlement offer. At no point in time was credit reporting mentioned during the conversation. Ms. [redacted] agreed to the payments of $333.97 on 4/15/15 and 5/20/15.  After carefully reviewing these recordings, I have concluded that none of our agents provided falsified information to Ms. [redacted]. As of today, 5/21/15, the above referenced account has been settled in full in our office. 4/16/15 to collect $150.61 on their behalf.  We mailed two validation letters 4/17/15 and 6/01/15 to the address we have on file.  We are sorry to hear [redacted] was unable to get through to an agent to discuss this matter.
Convergent Outsourcing, Inc. is a licensed collections agency that only collects on accounts placed in our office by our clients.  We do not attempt to scam consumers.
In response to this complaint, we have closed the account from our office and returned it to our client.  We have requested our information for the above referenced account to be removed from [redacted] credit report.  If [redacted] has any further inquiries  please have him contact [redacted], and provide the account number referenced above to ensure this matter is resolved.  Convergent in no longer handling this account.

collect $4847.07 on their behalf. Convergent Outsourcing is a licensed collection agency who only collects on balances placed in our office on behalf of our clients. We are not in the business of scamming consumers. Upon investigating this complaint, I have found Convergent Outsourcing received one call from an unidentified party on the 09/14/2015. The agent provided her name and the name of our company at the time of the call. There were no unanswered questions as the party on the phone asked we not call this number anymore. The agent did mark the number [redacted] bad in our system, so that we would not continue to call. In response to the complaint, we have closed the account in our office and returned it to our client. If Ms. [redacted] has any inquiries please have her contact [redacted] as Convergent Outsourcing is no longer handling the account. We appreciate the opportunity to respond.
