complaint. [redacted] placed this account in our office on 07/22/2016, to collect a balance of $38.63 on their behalf. Convergent Outsourcing is a licensed collection agency, who only collects on balances placed in our office by our clients. We do not attempt to scam consumers,Upon investigation in this complaint that our agent hung up on [redacted] the call on 08/01/2018 was reviewed. On 08/01/2016, a female called and said they had received a letter from us and provided the client account number. The agent asked who he was speaking with. The party on the phone asked who's name the account came up under. The agent advised he could not disclose the information and requested the first and last name of the party calling in to verify whom he was speaking with.The female on the line declined to provide the information and then stated she would be filling a Revdex.com complaint and she disconnected the call.To protect consumer's personal and private information we are unable to disclose account information to an unauthorized party.Convergent Outsourcing believes the agent handied the call in  a professional manner.In response to this communication the account has been placed in a disputed status so validation of the balance may be requested from [redacted]. When the infonnation we have requested is received from our client, we will mail the documents to the address on file and cease communication.If [redacted] has any further inquiries regarding this matter, please have him contact [redacted] directly referencing the [redacted] account number above.We appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Convergent Outsourcing Inc.has investigated your complaint. Comcast placed this account in our office 03/16/15 to collect $331.22 on their behalf.On 11/16/2015, Comcast notified us that the amount  of $331.22 had been satisfied. The account was closed with a zero balance in our office on...

We updated the credit bureaus and reported the account as paid on 11/22/2015.In response to your complaint, we find that we have reported the information to the credit bureaus both fairly and accurately. On 11/29/2015, Convergent Outsourcing requested our information for the above referenced account be removed from the credit bureaus. To whom it may concern, Convergent Outsourcing has received [redacted]'s dispute complaint. DirecTV placed this account in our office on 12/02/2016, to collect a balance of $64.96 on their behalf. To date, this is the first notification we have received on behalf of this account notifying...

us, that Ms. [redacted] disputed this account. Ms. [redacted] stated in her complaint that she was contacted on 05/27/2016, 09/09/2016, and 11/21/2016. Furthermore Ms. [redacted] stated that she continued to receive calls after notifying Convergent to stop calling and that she disputed the account. We were unable to substantiate these claims as this account was not placed with Convergent until 12/02/2016, and this complaint was the first communication we have had with anyone in reference to this account. Convergent Outsourcing has requested the billing statements from DirecTV. Once received, these will be mailed to Ms. [redacted]'s address. Convergent Outsourcing has closed this account with our office and returned it to our client. We will request that our information for this account be removed from the credit bureaus. Based on the response received, I understand that this negative collection account will be removed from all three credit reporting bureaus, (Equifax, Experian, and Transunion), and closed and deleted on their end as well. Along with no further action being taken on the behalf of Convergent Outsourcing to pursue this. Thank you for your assistance in this matter, it is greatly appreciated and I accept the business's response to resolve this.

[redacted] placed this account inour office 11/03/2015 listed with a different last name.Upon investigation of this dispute, I reviewed the call on 03/29/2016 when Mr. [redacted] initiallycontacted our office. Mr. [redacted] provided his full social...

security number and full name. The fullsocial security number matches that on file. Mr. [redacted] stated he has had prior issues withinformation for another party appearing on his credit bureau. The agent placed the account in adisputed status and we requested that [redacted] confirm this was the correct information for thisaccount.On 03/29/2016, we marked the account to remove our information from the credit bureaus. On04/06/2016, our client [redacted] confirmed the information we have on file was the correctinformation the account was under including the social security number.In response to this communication, we have closed the account in our office and returned it to[redacted]. We are sorry to hear Mr. [redacted] may have been a victim of fraud. On 04/03/2016, werequested our information be removed from the credit bureaus.
