Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. Although we have not been able to catch each other via phone, I have reviewed Ms. [redacted]'s case and have agreed to refund the home call visit in the amount of $108.95 as a one-time good will gesture.  The unit was out of...

warranty and this is the standard charge to have a technician come to the home.  The refund will be given as a cash refund vs. a credit to the card she used at the time of service. Please let me know if she accepts this as a resolution to her case. Sincerely, [redacted]Program Manager

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation.
I have spoken with Mrs. [redacted] and apologized for the trouble she's had with cleaning her new double oven.

I am writing to you to express my dissatisfaction with General Electric. The contents of this package include several letters to various levels of GE in my attempt to reach the Connecticut Headquarters, as well as a photograph detailing my fire.My dissatisfaction with GE is prompted by my...

disagreement with the assessment of the GE repairman, in which he stated that there was no defect with the range. This assessment was supported by the GE Appliance Headquarters in Kentucky. They offered $700.00 towards a new GE range, but could not guarantee a different repairman in the future. Therefore I decided on another brand and am seeking $700.00 reimbursement for my range, which was only five years old. The Appliance Headquarters denied me again.Due to my dissatisfaction with General Electric and the potential hazard this poses to others, I would like to file this complaint.

Per the consumer's email (below) the dryer has now been repaired.
[redacted]On friday, 3/13 the service man came (i think he is from [redacted]) and fixed the Dryer. it is now working fine. I dont know if you have scheduled another tech to come tomorrow. if so, please cancel that. Thanks for your...

A dishwasher was offered at a discounted rate by GE. We respectfully declined this "solution" due to the fact that their "discount" was really the same as paying a sale price at a local retailer. They offered a percentage off from the manufacturer's price, which ended up equivalent to the price we could pay at our local Home Depot.  This dishwasher is only a few months old, and has not done a very good job of its intended purpose from the very beginning; to clean dishes that are dirty. The technician that went to the property put peanut butter on a plate and proceeded to wash it, immediately. Of course it washed off. I don't see that being an accurate measure of the dishwashers' ability to perform properly. We were told with this "lower-end" model, it works as it should. Shouldn't the dishwasher, whether it be a "lower-end" or higher end, do what it was made for? It should wash dishes, period. With that being said, I believe GE should take it back, credit the money paid for it towards another, better model that will actually perform, and allow us to pay the difference. I am not looking for something free, I just no longer want this particular model anymore due to it's subpar performance. If it worked as it needed to, there wouldn't be an issue.

Thank you for the opportunity to re-review this consumer’s situation. Please be advised that I did speak with Mr. [redacted] and advised that his warranty is a repair warranty and offered to schedule service on his dishwasher. Mr. [redacted] declined my offer to set up a service appointment. Please...

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. GE offered a no charge exchange for the same microwave unit.  Mr. [redacted] chose to upgrade to a microwave that offered convection cooking and paid the up charge of $181.48.  The order as been placed and will be...

delivered as soon as possible.  Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

I have reviewed the most recent e-mail (below) from Mr. [redacted].
He mentioned he already bought the part through Amazon.
I am sorry he is still dissatisfied with our offer of resolution.
I will be closing this case as of today, 3/31/15.

I've made it clear that these units have issues, so the proper response from GE should be they are sending service back out to see if they can finally resolve the issues vice find any issues.

I am asking GE for help/advise on this situation, not future repairs.   [redacted] was very rude and would not even listen to my concern.   I asked for someone else, he refused saying he is the only one.  I made a comment on [redacted] and was promised another person would contact me and I am still waiting.   Please do not have Mr [redacted] contact me; he is useless and does not have any customer service skills.

Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.
GE completed repairs on the unit in question on 6/24.   GE is also in the process of sending Mr. [redacted] a one-year Letter of Commitment on his microwave.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.   I left a voicemail with [redacted] on 9/19/17.  On 9/19/17 a GE Technician came out and found a piece of metal on the top next to the bearing slides that was causing the noise in her dryer.  He repaired the unit.  A...

$50 inconvenience check was processed on 9/14/17 and mailed out to the consumer’s address on 9/15/17.  GE also extended the warranty on the dryer by another 6 months beginning 2/20/18 to 8/20/18.       Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.   [redacted]
