GE exchanged the refrigerator with another.  GE was prompt in its response to my Revdex.com complaint and the exchange happened quickly at a time of my choosing.  I only wish I hadn't needed to involve the Revdex.com however, once I had, GE was very professional, courteous, and understanding which is what I would expect from any company with which I do business.

I have already spoken to this consumer and did not agree with his request for a new refrigerator.  His unit is in-warranty and I have offered to schedule service for him but he has declined.    His warranty is for repair, not for replacement.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer's situation. I have spoken with Ms. [redacted] and apologized for the trouble she's having with the noise in her GE microwave. She said that a technician has been out to diagnose it and ordered the part but she doesn't feel...

comfortable with having the unit repaired. I explained that it was under warranty and that the repair would be at no cost to her. her a cash out amount of her contract and she has accepted. As a gesture of goodwill GE has offered Ms. [redacted] a discount into a replacement range however, Ms. [redacted] has declined the offers.

I spoke with [redacted] Campbell today 11/12/15 and he confirmed that he received his part on 11/6/15.  That was the afternoon after he submitted his Revdex.com complaint.  He explained the difficult experience he had in tracking...

The only reason I filed a claim...

with the Revdex.com is because GE has taken four week now to get to the point of offering to reimburse us for the microwave. We have had a technician come out twice to try and fix this microwave and now GE is willing to offer a Goodwill certificate in the full amount of the microwave. The Goodwill certificate that GE offers allows us to go and pay out of pocket for another GE microwave and then seek reimbursement  by submitting proof of payment and then waiting 8 weeks for GE to refund us by sending us a check in the mail. This is unacceptable! We have already waited four weeks for a microwave and now GE is asking that we go and buy another GE product, which I'm reluctant to do based on the service we have received so far.
We should not have to do the following:
(1) purchase another GE microwave out of pocket
(2) submit a reimbursement claim and wait 8 WEEKS in hopes that we will get reimbursed.
GE should provide us a full refund in the amount of the microwave within 5-7 business days and allow us to purchase another microwave of our choice, it should not have to specifically be a GE product. I believe this is a reasonable request considering the inconvenience GE has put on me an my family for the past 4 weeks.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation.   I tried calling [redacted] at the phone number he provided in his Revdex.com complaint which was [redacted].  It was not a good phone number.  We did find a case with GE Consumer Relations under...

the name of [redacted] and left a voicemail under phone number [redacted] to return my call.  We had [redacted] Factory Service out on 4/12 and at that time they reset the controls and found nothing wrong.  We set this call up at no charge and consumer relations attempted to setup another call at no charge even though the dishwasher is a few weeks outside of warranty, but the consumer was not cooperative.  He was assured that he wouldn’t be charged, but he requested the service calls be cancelled.       Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance. *
