Review: went to Cricket to upgrade my son's phone on my account: the store was very limited on products offered. Decided on at phone for $59.99..toal ended up being $87.43, The rep tried to activated the several times, while taking personal calls on his cell and waiting on other customers. After a 30 minute wait, I said I needed to leave and could not longer wait. Rep asked if I could come back to get phone. I replied and asked for refund. He states I can not get refund and buy a phone isn't like buying groceries I need to wait. I told him I need to leave and please refund my money, he said there is a $30 fee for refunds. I never used or touched that phone, the clerk then said once the phone is activate he could no longer use the phone or sell it. A lie. The clerk told me to take the phone and I'm giving him a headache. He threaten to call the police more than once. I never once swore or threaten the employee. I asked to speak to a manager he stated he was the manager but I heard to some name [redacted] on the phone regarding the issue and asked if he would talk to me. I guess [redacted] who I found out later was the owner, didn't want to speak to me. The clerk gave me customer service phone . I ended up calling the police who came to speak to both of us. The nice officer suggest to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. I left the store with out a phone for my son and ripped off $87.43. I was able to contact the corp office in Lansing IL and spoke with a nice manager name [redacted] from Cricket, He knew of the owner [redacted] and said he would forward the issue and I should receive a call back within two working days.Desired Settlement: Refund of $87.43

Review: On November 23, 2013 I purchased a smartphone and wireless service plan from Cricket Wireless at their physical local store in my area. The following day I had trouble accessing internet service from my phone. I called the local store representative who offered suggestions. The phone worked better for a while, then I began getting dropped calls. People could not get a hold of me, the phone did not show any missed calls. I began to call Cricket tech support to resolve these problems. Spend hours with them on the phone while at work. It was extremely frustrating because I felt I was neglecting work and wasting time being passed over from one person to the next without any solution. I kept getting disconnected with the tech support staff I was on the phone with. Finally I called mid-December to tell them that I wanted to cancel service because I could not take it any more. I asked them to un-enroll me from Cricket Automatic Bill Pay. Was told that I would not be charged for next month. Also told them that I wanted to cancel service. Was told to go to a Cricket store to have my phone changed for a different one, because the phone was defective. Went to the store was told they could not give me a new phone unless I paid for it.On December 21, 2013 money was taken from my account by Cricket to pay for another month's service when I requested that they cancel Automatic Pay. This is stealing! Now I am stuck with a defective phone that does not work and no service to my phone but money is still being taken from me.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for the defective phone plus the set-up and service charges that were made.It is illegal to charge money for promised goods/services that were not rendered.

Review: NOTE: The phone number listed [redacted] is NOT a phone number it's the number on the back of a card, the phone was NEVER activated and therefore there is no phone number. On Wed July 9, 2013 at 9:27 I bought a cricket phone and two cricket paygo cards (Cricket 10 10.00 card # [redacted] and Cricket 25 25.00 card # [redacted]) and phone at [redacted] in [redacted] (ST# [redacted] OP# [redacted] TE# ** TR#[redacted]).When I found the phone would not work for my needs, I returned to [redacted] and they accepted the phone as a return but they said the cards would need to be refunded though Cricket. On Sat July 13, 2013 I attempted to contact cricket by their website [redacted] Using their contact us page and looking though all their FAQs I could find nothing describing my situation. I called their contact number [redacted]; however not having a phone number, account or wanting to become a customer I could not reach anyone and their phone service would not allow me to speak to a customer care person.Desired Settlement: For this to be resolved all I want is a $35 refund.

Review: I have contacted Cricket several times stating that I had lost my cell phone and that I wanted to have my payments stopped since I no longer have a phone. Their customer service was almost non-existent and they are still charging my paypal account in the amount of $37.28 every month. This plan is pre-paid and not a contract so there is no reason to still be charging me. There is no way on the website to stop payments either.Desired Settlement: I have not used the cell phone I lost since October of 2012. I want a refund for all my monthly payments since October until today since it will show I have not used the phone since then. I also want all future payments to be stopped.

Review: I bought a Samsung Galaxy s 4 from cricket on 10/10/13 I paid $600 for the phone. A few months after I bought the phone it started missing up. It started freezing the screen would not turn on it kept saying my sim card was not in and had to restart it. The alarm would not work. I took it in to the Cricket store that I bought the phone from in Reno. There they told me my phone was not broken it was the update that Samsung did and I need to wait for them to re update the phone. I took it in to the store numerous times and was told everytime it was the update not the phone. I then got mad and took it to a different store where I was told to either pay my insurance price of $200 or call Samsung. I called Samsung where I was told my phone was under warranty and to take it to the Best Buy in town and have Samsung try to fix it. I then took it to the Samsung people who told me they could not fix it and to call Samsung back and tell them to fix it. I then called Samsung who then told me I need to send my phone to them and they would fix it and mail it back. On 10/12/14 I called the cricket 1800# and spoke to 9 different people 4 of witch told me that I could transfer my phone number to a different phone while my Samsung was being fixed and once I received my Samsung back I could call them and they would re activate my phone and I would have my insurance on it as well since my phone was going to Samsung. on 10/21/14 I received my phone. I called cricket to activate my phone. They then said I would have to go to the cricket store to get my insurance back. I took my phone back to the cricket store for them to tell me they could not give me my insurance back and to call the 1800# back. I then called the 1800 number and spoke with [redacted] who said he would open a ticket for me and I would have my insurance back in 24 to 48 hrs. I called cricket today who said my ticket was denied and I do not have my insurance and they would re open my ticket. I have been with cricket for 10+ years and this is how im treated.Desired Settlement: I would like my insurance back on my phone. and no more missing around when someone says somethings broken.

Review: I Feb. 2014 I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S4 from Cricket. I financed $600 per phone (bought 2). Now they tell me since A.T.&T. bought the Cricket company, they are switching from a CDMA tech. to a GSM tech and in May of 2015 our phones will not work. I bought the phone under the promise of being able to get 4G speeds (which never happened). Now they want me to to buy and new phone and are offering only $100 towards a new phone. My phones won't even be paid off until Sept. or Oct. of 2015. I think this is totally unacceptable. First I was promised 4G speeds and never happened, now after just a few months they want me to buy a new phone. I am disabled and on a very limited budget and can't afford an upgrade so they want me to downgrade my phone. I feel this very wrong. Buying a $600 phone ($1200 for two) and then they change technologies and tell me my phones wont work after May 2015 and they are offering $100 each ($200) as trade in value.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the newest technologies and phone and to be given a descent value for my trade ins. I wasnt told of this possibility when I purchased the phones and since they merged to new technology then they should have to upgrade their customers.

Review: On October 31st of 2014 I made a payment to Cricket for my daughters account (###-###-####)through their automated service. They immediately sent TWO confirmation texts to my daughters phone. I immediately went to my online banking and seen they charged me twice! I then called Cricket and told them to take the second charge off. They gave me a run around that it had to go to their payment department and they had to start an investigation process and that it could be up to three days. I called my bank and made them aware of it but said that since it did not hard post as of that time that there was nothing they could do. It is now November third. The payment is now hard posted to my account. I have again called Cricket. They said at first that it would be applied as credit to the account. I told them no, my money is to be put back in my banking account. I did not authorize two payments. (This is the second time they have taken a double payment from me and my daughter on her account). They took money without authorization. This is fraud. I told them I am calling my bank and I will report it as fraud. They said they have called the payment department and have made this an "urgent" matter. I have given them till 3 this afternoon (November 3, 2014) to call me back. If I do not hear from them by that time I will begin the process of recovery with my bank. This has happened twice. Why can big corporations do this to people?Desired Settlement: I want my money returned to my account. If this extra unauthorized charge throws my checking account into the negative, I also want compensation for over draft and any bank fees.

Review: I bought this phone being told that I was going to get a $50.00 rebate. The rebate has been denied saying "Activation date prior to campaign start date". The promotion dates are 9/26/14 until 11/13/14. I purchased the phone and plan on 10/08/14. I did see that same message on the web site & called the rebate center on 11/13/14. The man I spoke with assured me that everything was OK and all I needed to do is wait. I received the denial card on 11/28/14.Today I was changing my credit card information & was told by the web site "sorry, the card information is incorrect. Try again." After trying 3 times, I called the customer center. That call took a total of 58 minutes and 38 seconds. Only about 5 of those minutes was with a person telling me that I must have put the information in wrong all 3 times. I asked to speak with a supervisor to just be put on hold again. I finally gave up & hung up. I am sure that is just what they wanted.Desired Settlement: I want the $50.00 rebate that I am fully qualified for. I have copies all the paperwork to prove that.I also should get at least 1 month of free service for my time wasted on hold & the aggravation that goes with that poor treatment.

Review: I started service with [redacted] Cricket, on November 7th 2013, On November 22nd I was charged $15 out of my credit card. I called Cricket on the 23rd and asked them to put the money back onto my card. I was promised by the male representative I spoke to, he gave me an estimate of 2-3 days to see the credit on my account. On December 1st I called in again and was asking the rep why the money was not back onto my credit card, she told me that they do not do refunds on "PayGO" accounts, even though I was promised on November 23rd. She told me, "You are lying, you already know that you cannot get the credit back," I was very shocked to be talked like that. First of all, Cricket charged my card for that amount, and second, they promised to give the credit back. The rep on December the 1st, told me that the rep must of got confused with a PaGO account instead of regular wireless account, she stated that if I would of had a regular wireless account I would of got my money back. When I started service, I had no choice as to what kind of account I wanted, and did not choose PayGo over a wireless. There never was an option given for that matter. I told them I was going to cancel my service if they did not credit back the full amount I was charged.Desired Settlement: I would like for Cricket to credit me back the $15 they charged onto my [redacted] card. The agents were beyond rude, and one told they were gong to do something while the others had a different story. Extremely unprofessional people who work for Cricket and need to be trained on how to properly speak to customers. I don't appreciate being called a lier by their foreign customer service agent.

Review: I purchased two phones online, one for my Mother and one for myself. Cricket charged me for three phones, taking an extra $107.99 out of my account. I called Cricket corporate and they transferred me to the escalations dept, I have spoken to over five people trying to get this issue resolved, I am obtaining the names of every person that I speak with however when I call back they never seem to be available to speak with me so I am having to explain myself again. The last rep I spoke with states that in the report that corporate sent the escalations dept it states that they did not have records of the third charge of $107.99, and instructed me to dial [redacted] number that did not work, when you dial the number it prompts you to press #1 if there is a unauthorized charge on your acct, when you press #1 nothing happens. I asked every single rep that I spoke with if I may fax a copy of my credit card transaction history, they all declined. I really don't know what to do, this is the 2nd time this has happened to me with Cricket, once they took out my monthly bill twice, and it took over 2+ weeks to get refunded.Desired Settlement: I want my money back, they need to give back my $107.99. And they should offer to comp my monthly bill for my inconvinience.

Review: The phone I had purchased from cricket wireless was over heating went to the store to see what I can do about it. I was told that they would sent me another one but I had to pay 253.00 plus a 20.00 shipping fee and I would recieve the new phone in two days. Once I got the new phone I was to send the old phone back and they would immediately refund the 250.00 back into my account. I sent the old phone back in the end of August. I still have not received the money back dispite numerous phone calls. Every time I call there they tell me that they will have the money back into my account in two days. One of the times that I have called I was hung up on. My wife called they said that they would call back and never did. All I want is my money back. I hope you can please help me with this. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I just want my 253.00 back from them.

Review: My complaint is with their insurance provider. [redacted] [a [redacted] company] claim number [redacted]. I lost my phone and placed a claim. Called a few times to try to set up a claim. I needed my model number to confirm my identity I guess. fine. located the old manual. After asking the 3rd person to replace my phone, I asked if I would also get a memory card. The gentleman said it is a complete package and it comes with one. Recieved my phone today. Missing the volume buttons and the power button. Got it to turn on and the phone would not go past the bot up stage. I called them again to speak to a supervisor and the lady that answered the phone asked , in a very condescending matter, WHY? I said because i'm not happy with my device. She got [redacted] on the phone. Supervisor. She was polite but told me she would send out another phone. asked if i'm getting a memory card to since this one did not. she said no. //i told her I was told that I would. She said she would talk to the person that told me that. I told her I am very meticulous with my phones and the replacement was no where near that. I am thinking to not pay this insurance anymore. 70 dollars to replace my phone and customer service was horrible. I would never treat a customer this way. 10 dollar memory card to make the customer happy would be worth it. after all the stuff the customer has been put through. I will leave this in your capaple hands. Thanks, [redacted]Desired Settlement: even a discount on my 70 dollars would be nice. full refund would be better.

Review: I originally walked into the cricket wireless off of [redacted].from the time I walked in I felt like the sale was fishy.first off when I came originally I brought two phones.one for me and one for my daughter.I got the 70 data plan for me and the 30 dollar for my daughter.the phone I originally purchased I had to return because the front camera was horrible and I kept telling them from the time I purchased the phone that my muve music was not working.I have to day I have never been with cricket so this was my first time. originally only got a receipt for the payment for activation not for the two brand new phones.I asked the second time I came in hey I notice the receipt you gave me did not have the phones on them I asked why he said that it was because customers have to request for one and that they usually dont give a receipt and if I wanted one it was too late.then the phone that I originally purchased was switched over and I got a htc desire and paid more for a better camera phone with no flash ok fine they switched everything and I walked out ...he told me to give it a few my muve music will take a min to work.I said ok and left.when I got home played with the phone a little and still did not work.well because of work and life it took me another week before walking in the store about this problem. well eventually when I cane back in I brought another phone for my husband again they gave us a receipt for the activation but not for the phone.they tried to trouble shoot ** phone and found out that it never had a muve music sim card that's why it was not working.so now you would think through a fault which is not my own they would credit me for my muve music working they never did.told me had to call the csr line. well I did that.I also noticed when I would not pay my bill my phone would just magically turn on.it happen 3 or 4 times. meaning someone has access to my account.I have gotten personally calls from the original store where I got the phone from.illegal access to my account ....Desired Settlement: I would like a refund from my bills my account changed all three lines and all my information and one of my phones cancelled with a proper refund...

Review: I purchase on June 27th, a ZTE Prelude from Cricket Wireless a local store on [redacted]. The phone was getting hot, so hot I couldn't even touch it to my face to answer. I returned it to the store I purchased it from and was given an 800 number to call. This was dealing with the warranty under a year. Note I brought the phone June 27th, but didn't get thru to any one until almost a week later. When I finally got thru the first time July 11th, I explained what the issue was and was told someone has to call me back to get credit card info to send the phone out and labels to send the old phone back. After I hadn't heard anything, I called back July 14th. The girl helped me and said they put my order in the wrong batch. She then corrected the order and put someone on the phone to take credit card info. That was done and I was took my phone would be shipped the next day. I received the phone, but all it was was the face of the phone. I called back to explained and was told that there nothing no one can do for you, we don't warranty batteries. I brought a brand new phone with a defective battery, but your policy states I have to keep it until it blows up in my face and create a bigger issue. I need a solution to this problem. I did not need to pay for a face plate for a phone. My phone is brand new nothing wrong with. What can be done? Please help me. Thank youDesired Settlement: I just need a new working battery that doesn't get overly hot. And policy versus defective devises aren't the same. Defective devices can't or should hide behind your policy.

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam, This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] states that he purchased an iPhone 5s in December 2013 and has asked Cricket to unlock his phone for the last seven months, but they refuse to provide the unlock code. He states Cricket is a no contract carrier and should unlock the phone. Mr. [redacted] is requesting a refund for his purchase or that Cricket provide a new unlocked iPhone.

We apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service he felt he received. Cricket strives to provide excellent service and we regret when that high standard is not met.

IPhones activated on our CDMA network can be unlocked for international use after six months of consecutive service. We cannot unlock these devices for domestic use within the United States, unless the devices are migrated to our new GSM network powered by AT&T. Once the devices are active on our GSM network, they can be unlocked for use on another domestic carrier after four months of consecutive service. Until the required service period is met, we cannot unlock the devices.

Our records show Mr. [redacted] migrated to a GSM account on May 28, 2014. Once he has met the required service period, he can call or chat Customer Service (www.cricketwireless.com/contactus). We cannot refund Mr. [redacted] for his purchase because it is outside of the 30 days return period.

We thank Mr. [redacted] for his communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses his complaint.

Review: I order this phone on 5/1/2014, it was delivered on 5/2/2014. The phone could not be activated because it was not pre-programmed with the number [redacted] that they gave me via the order confirmation email. I have called customer service outsourced several times, I've spent hours upon hours trying to explain, I visited a local store that said they could fix the problem for $15.00 + another $50 for the months service that I've already pre-paid when purchasing the phone. I then visited a "Corporate Store" where they also said they could fix for just the $50 fee that I had already paid, I called the [redacted] number that also said my phone would be activated within 48 hours of my order (It's been 53), but they could also charge me the $50 extra to activate it immediately, I've called the [redacted] and no one is ever available to assist. Everyone I've spoken too has said it's another department, I give them the ticket number [redacted] that was provided a long with the account they gave me, a long with the confirmation number, and everyone says the same thing, another 24 hours or $50. No one can even tell me how to get a refund of everything. All I want is this phone to work, and if they are going to charge me $50 for something I've already paid for, then I think they should pay $100 and make my phone work for the time, gas, and money I've had to spend to try and rectify the issue! Even when I told them I was recording this and then I asked for an American Representative because I was having a difficult time understanding the woman and knew she wasn't understanding me, she "very clearly" said that she could not transfer me to one, provide me a number to one, and I'd have to deal with her alone. This has got to be the biggest scam I've have had the displeasure of being a part of.Desired Settlement: I want my product to work, and I think that CricKet should pay for my time and gas money I've wasted. $139.62 for phone and service and over 8 hours talking online, on the phone, and CricKet stores, as well as $30 now in gas going to and from stores.
