Review: I do not have the service set up yet, but I attempted to purchase a black Friday special online and the screen froze on the payment screen. Apparently, it still charged my account and in fact did so eight times. I have been redirected to several people and departments to resolve the extra charges, but am refused any contact with a corporate office other than online chat where they told me it was my responsibility to have the charges credited back to my account by my financial institution. When I contact my bank, they say I have to wait for the charges to clear and then dispute them. All the while my paycheck is tied up with rent due on Monday and no service representative(including a very impolite and indifferent store manager) is willing to give me any information beyond telling me it's not their responsibility.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and to end any and all associations with the company. This has been the worst, most infuriating service I've ever had the misfortune to receive.

Review: On Tuesday august 12, 2014 I stopped at the Cricket store located at [redacted]round 1:45 pm to ask some questions related to my phone, at the time notice a promotion posted in writing in the phones advertising as $50.00 Rebate with the purchase of certain models, I asked the sales person by the name of [redacted] until when was the offer available, he mention that the offer will expire on Sunday august 17. I left the store and I called my parents to inform them about the offer, since cricket was purchased by another company, the current phones will not be compatible with the conversion effective February or March, 2015 and new phones must be purchased. My parents are 70 years old and work for the school district, they dont get paid in the summer and previously we discussed the need to purchase new phones and we decided to buy them until September when they were back at work but since Cricket Morrison had that promotion I called my parents and we decided to take advantage of the promotion and purchase 2 phones advertised for $100.00 with a $50.00 rebate it will be $100.00 for both phones. They arrived at the store around 2:40 and the 3 of us talked with [redacted] again and ask about the promotion one more time, then we inquire about the plans as well, and we asked him if with the $40.00 plan will allow us to text to Mexico since have family there and [redacted] said yes, then we purchase the 2 LG Optimus L70 for $100.00 each plus the activation fee with a $50.00 rebate and the $40.00 service plan on both phones. The purchase was charged to my mothers debit card at 2:52 pm, and we left the store. We never received any information from [redacted] in reference to the rebate process at any given time.45 minutes later we notice that we were not able to text to Mexico and we return to the store, [redacted] explained that the $40.00 plant does not include international texting when 45 minutes before he said that it was included. We decided to upgrade to a $50.00 plan in one on the phones. Again [redacted] never explained the rebate process nor provided with any forms or instructions the only thing he mention is that the rebate will take from 6 to 8 weeks to arrive. On September 9, 2014 at 6:45 pm I stopped at the store to inquire about the rebate, I was asked by the sales person if I had mailed the rebate form and the serial number from the bottom of the box, I told her that I was not aware about this process when we purchased the phones by [redacted] , she explained the process and said that if by the next day will bring the boxes she will be able to help me fill out the rebate forms and guide me thru the process, but it had to be done the next day due to a dead line. I walked out the store and called my parents immediately, they decided to drive from from San Benito to Brownsville, and take care of the situation due to the dead line of the process. They arrive the store at 7:30 since closing times at 8:00.When they arrived the store with the boxes and the purchase receipt they were informed by [redacted], that the LG optimus L70 had no rebate or promotion at the time of the purchase and there it was nothing she could do about it. I Called the next day and spoke with [redacted] and ask about the matter and he said to mail the rebate form to cricket anyway maybe the will send the rebate (see form attached, that specific model is not on the list) and then for me to call Cricket and ask them to resolve the problem, when the problem was not originated by cricket but from himself. I ask [redacted] to speak with a manager or supervisor and he said that [redacted], the supervisor/Manager was busy, he took my contact information and mention that she will call me back. I waited for [redacted] to return my call, since she never did, I decided to call her, I called several times that afternoon but I was never able to speak with [redacted]I called again on September 10 several times during the day but I was not able to speak with [redacted], then I decided to visit the sore around 7:00 pm and speak in person with [redacted].I explain the situation to [redacted], that we saw the advertisement showing the promotion and that we wanted to take advantage of it, that we were never explained the rebate process and the we had no need to purchase new phones until next year, but since [redacted] mention the promotion we wanted to take advantage but according to [redacted] that promotion never existed. I informed [redacted] that false advertisement is considered Fraud and I requested for the store to be accountable for their employees mistake and honor the rebate or compensate me and my family in any other way. [redacted] told me that that decision was not up to her that she nee it to consult with the store owner. [redacted] called the owner and explained the situation and asked about the possible solutions to the problem, the owner said that the promotion was not posted on the phone and that she was not going to do anything about it, I told [redacted] I was not a layer and my parents were witnesses about the sign being posted on the phone and in addition we were told by [redacted] about the rebate and the last day of the promotion and that was the reason why we purchased the phones that same day to take advantage of something that never existed. This is the reason why I will like to file this complaint, I believe false advertisement and taking advantage of consumers is not an honorable way to do businessThank you for your prompt responseDesired Settlement: I want the store owner from Cricket store located at [redacted] to be accountable for the employee mistake and compensate me in any way possible not just denying my request and call me liar.

Response:

I'm the account holder, the account is under my name and I pay the service. The phones are used by my parents. Let me know if you need additional information. Thank you

Review: I arrived at this stores location to purchase a phone that they had advertised for $19.99. My wife and I were in the middle of buying the phone then all of a sudden the employee leaves us and makes a phone call, and then returns saying she cannot sale us the phone at that price. I explain to her that she should not have had that price posted on the phone she said she did not have time to change it since it just went in effect. This went in effect after we arrived there.Desired Settlement: Punished or warned not to engage in false advertisement.

Review: I use to use Cricket broadband a couple of years ago and never had any problems with them...until December/January 2014. I was paying $35 a month of their service to do basic school work online. I didn't even watch videos or use Facebook or email and started having problems with the service...I was supposedly eating up the monthly allowance within a week!? So I called Cricket up and added even more money to the plan and I was then at $45 a month for their 4G plan... I supposedly used that up in 2 days!!?! There was no way since I wasn't even using their service, I was using my actual cell phone which is through a different carrier! So, my boyfriend and I talked about it. Why spend $65 a month for no Internet service that isNOT unlimited when we can go to Charter and get Internet plus cable and everything else for under $100 a month?! So that is what we did. I am so happy we made the switch! I called up Cricket today and ended up talking to the manager since I still have $33 left in my Cricket account and he told me they couldn't refund my money! He suggested I go out and by another modem by them and use up the $33 in my account!!? I was livid by this time in the conversation!! I asked him why on earth I would go out and spend x amount of money on a modem just to use up $33 when I already have working Internet through another carrier!!??! So they refused to refund my money due to their "policy" and now I am out $33 which I would like back. I told the manager that word of mouth is the best marketing out there and they really know how to keep their customer's happy (sarcasm).Desired Settlement: I would like Cricket to refund my $33 that is left in my account and that isn't being used anymore.

Review: The company was highly recommended, so I bought a basic phone on Sept. 12, 2014, everything works but cannot retrieve my voicemail messages from the cell phone. Went back to the store on Sept. 19, 2014, but all the Store Manager did was called Customer service, who gave me a ticket number and told me the problem would be fixed in 2 days. I visited the store again on Sept. 24, 2012 to be told by the Assistant Store Manager that she could not help me, to call Customer Service. Called Customer service on Sept. 24, 2012 to be told that the case was being looked into, but would take 5 days to resolved from the first day issue was reported (9/19/14). Called on Sept. 26 and was told that Customer service would call me with an answer. Called on Sept. 28, 2014, was put on hold, then disconnected and have yet to received a resolution to my voicemail issues. I hate to use the phrase, "you get what you pay for". . .I am very upset and sick of today's Customer Service, speaking to others in another country and get nothing resolved.Desired Settlement: For Cricket to give me an upgrade cell phone at their cost and keep my present service of $25 a month for unlimited calls and text, or refund my money for the phone.

Review: On july 22 2013 Iwent to the cricket store and purched a phone and servicethe phone was being financed through YBUY. cricket takes payments for the phone and the phone service. On October 18 I went to the cricket store to terminate my service becauseof the expence.Thats when YBUY told me that they did not recieve septembers phone payment.Since I was at the cricket store I asked the clerk to check and see if I made the payment,He said I did make a phone payment for sept. The problem is Cricket applied the money to the service, not the phone. So when you make a phone payment, you dont realy know what your paying for.The clerk said if they are not sure they apply the money to the service. He said people like to pay for service in advance.I explained to the clerk that Im on a very fixed income and that I cant afford to pay in advance. He said there was nothing can be done about it.My monthly service is on auto pay .I am retired, living on $905 per month for my wife and I,thats why we dont pay ahead.Desired Settlement: pay YBUY $95.00 plus any late charges for the month of September.

Review: I have been charged for mobile insurance on my husbands cell phone. Neither my husband or I authorized that change to our account. In may 2013 I called to ask why my bill had jumped and I was then told about the insurance places on the plan. I then asked for it to be removed. The insurance has not been removed and they won't credit my account the 30$ that has been charged over the months. When I spoke with the "supervisor" today he informed me that when I did call in May, they had no access to my account. I'm more upset today about it because I had a problem with one of the representatives in February and had them remove a charge they had posted on my account due to activating my husbands phone, at this time was when the "insurance" was added! I'm extremely upset about this because they do have all access to everyone's account. This should not be a problem with cell phone companies!!!Desired Settlement: $30

Review: I purchased a Motorola G from Cricket's website on 9/9, and the phone said it had a $50 rebate for purchases between 7/11 - 9/11. The link to the rebate is here. https://www.cricketwireless.com/content/dam/aio/Support/rewards-rebates/cricketw... activated the phone later that month on 9/27 and submitted the rebate on 9/29. They denied the rebate saying I activated the phone outside the rebate requirements, but the rebate only states I need to PURCHASE the phone within the specified dates, not activate it. They changed their terms and conditions of the rebate to deny me. I called them and they refused to budge, insisting the rebate is based on activation date, which is not mentioned anywhere in the rebate.Desired Settlement: I would like my $50 rebate, which met all conditions on the rebate form.

Review: on the 6th of feb I called the 611 cust serv line to activate a cell phone I purchased from a cricket fact store. I gave the rep my debit card, no phone # or confirmation # was given. funds were withdrawn on that day for 27.94. however my phone was never activated, I called to the 800 # the next day, speaking to 2 reps, a supervisor and a payment specialist who said in 1 to 4 business days my funds would be returned into my account. four days later, and after speaking to my bank every day since the 6th, and learning that the account HAD been withdrawn in the amount of 27.94 had been processed out ant NOT returned during EACH call, I called the cricket customer service number again on two separate occasions where I was told they did not collect any funds that it was an error in my banks end. at this point I called my bank again where they informed me there had been no holding for authorization, just that cricket took the amount of 27.94 on the 6th of feb. I have been dealing daily in trying to get some assistance with refunding my money to which ALL reps, supervisors, and payment specialists said the money was not taken at all. to which I called my bank AGAIN and they have assured me the funds had been removed on the 6th.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back. I will never use cricket again. they are worse than common thieves. after all the years I DID use their service and was a loyal customer and THIS is how they treat people.

Review: I called Cricket to set up hotspot internet service. I already had a modem all I need was the prepaid service I spoke to rep on phone she advised all I needed was to make a payment of $45 and I would be all set up. I gave her my credit card info and authorized a payment of $45. I noticed the same day the $45 charge I authorized was pending and also a charge for $78.74 that I didnt authorize at this time the $78.74 was pending. I spoke to 3 or 4 different people from cricket finally I got someone that told me they didnt see a charge for $78.74 at all that they charged only the charge authorized of $45. I said ok thinking it was some type of mistake since it was still in pending at this time thinking it would just drop off. On 2/13/14 I noticed both charges the authorized $45 and the unauthorized $78.74 charged had now cleared my account. I called Cricket payment center explained and was advised that this charge was authorized and basically they cant do anything. I explained the charge was NOT authorized. I was basically told there was nothing that could be done on my behalf for the charge of $78.74 not authorized on my account and they told me when I asked what the $78.74 charge was for they advised they could not tell me.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of my money $78.74 or 2 months of free service for the inconvenience.

Review: I purchased a cricket muve music phone on march 8th 2013. I paid $100 for the phone plus all the taxes. The first couple weeks is when I noticed there was something really wrong with my new phone it would heat up to the point where it was untouchable and the charge would never last a full day. So I took to a cricket wireless store and thats where they replaced the battery informing me that would fix the issues with my new phone. Quickly I learned that all the problems were still there. Heating up and having to charge my phone 7-8 times a day. During this time the screen did have some damage to it, a couple cracks. So I was told by a cricket employee that they couldnt help me unless I paid $70 dollars plus the shipping costs to get a new phone. My phone is defective from the inside, I feel a phone shouldnt heat up like that. It is very dangerous for only owning this cricket phone for 4 months so far and having problems since day one.Desired Settlement: I was told by a cricket employee that I would have to pay $70 plus shipping costs in order to recieve a new phone. I dont mind paying a small fee but not the full $70 dollars when I just purchased the phone for $100 a few months ago and it was clearly defective before I purchased it. I would just like a phone that doesnt heat up and can hold a charge efficiency.

Review: I had requested for my caller ID name to have changed and more than 90 days ago. I have called in and tried to settle the problem about ten times. My first request to change the Caller ID name was a few days after I bought and activated my brand new cell phone. All they tell me is that Cricket does not do anything about the cell phone caller ID name because it is another carrier that has to make a change. They also inform me that it could take up to 7 to 90 days for the other carrier to update the name and that they only will update the name every ninety days. I find that a disturbing situation and its outrageous what I have to go through to get the service I pay over fifty dollars every month to have. I have never made a late payment on my cell phone bill and use the phone for business and also to show my identity when I make a call to people. I am a consumer and should not need to contact the other carrier to make a change. I see that the name and phone number on my home phone caller ID is [redacted]." It also states the same thing on my colleague's home phone caller ID, and he resides about a mile from my current address. I have added this phone number to the national do not call registry. My house phone is owned and paid for by my father, and I am a college student residing close to Denver, Colorado. My father has problems dealing with phone companies and has to work long hours. It is a considerable difficulty for me to contact the other phone companies, and it could cause my father problems with his job. The results I am looking for in regards to this issue are the name on the caller ID to be changed promptly because it is a hassle. It also is an issue that I want answers about because it is unbelievable that I need to have my service like this for up to 180 days unless it takes another 90 days after that. I find that ridiculous and unethical. I had not received the service I am paying for the last three months which happened to be when I bought and activated my cell phone, and it has caused me great inconvenience calling into customer service all these times and not receiving a very ethical answer.Desired Settlement: It is a considerable difficulty for me to contact the other phone companies, and it could cause my father problems with his job. Review: Cricket Wireless Customer Service repeatedly gave me incorrect information this weekend. I've used the service in a roaming area several times. This weekend, Cricket Customer Service told me that Roaming was not an option, however I determined that it was an option and I added $40 worth of roaming coverage to my phone after a Cricket Wireless Customer Service Representative told me that I could drive to [redacted] (a Cricket coverage area) and program my phone. Upon getting to [redacted], I could not program my phone.. So, I spent another $20 on a calling card and called Cricket and was told I'd have to drive to [redacted] to program my phone. Needless to say, I had to purchase another phone from another carrier and Cricket refused to refund me the $40 roaming. I got an email today saying that the $40 was non-refundable? It should not be non-refundable since the phone wouldn't work and allow me to use the funds. Cricket misrepresented where I could use their phone. They misrepresented how I could use their phone and they misrepresented how they would handle my issue. This weekend I was told that I would be credited my $40.00. I wasn't told that I might receive an email saying my request was denied. Cricket Customer Support are acting as representatives of the company and when they make a statement that you will receive your $40 refund, then Cricket must abide by those terms.Desired Settlement: I would like my $40 refunded to me.

I called today 9/03/2014 because I got a text stating my payment was not processed so I called and the supervisor said my bill was $120 and that is what I had to pay. I am not happy with cricket wireless they also took a bunch of services off of your plan but didn't do anything to the bill to reflect all the stuff that they took off on a scale of 1-10 10 been the best I give them a 2 tops for there service and communication skills and they are very rude they keep interrupting when you are trying to talk.
