Review: This will be the FOURTH time I will be complaining to the the Revdex.com about this company. So the new situation is this. So my phone which I have been in and out of the main store in [redacted], now a total of 11 times for this phone, finally went out on me. So what do I do I call Cricket Customer service and tell them again about my phone and they tell me that I have to go to the manufacturer to do a warranty exchange. So I call up Huawei the makers of my phone and this is where the run around begins. Huawei tells me that Cricket has a contract with them that states that Cricket will be doing all exchanges for Huawei thru their corporate stores. So I ahead again to the store and they tell me that there is no such contract with Huawei. Huawei tells me there is and they contact the store for me and guess what there is a contract between Huawei and cricket. So I call up Cricket and inform them of my problems. I am informed that because of all my problems I will be switched out of my phone in-store. I told the customer service rep. that I know they don't have this phone in-store because I ordered it online, she proceed to tell me she was leaving a note on my account to switch me to another phone that was the same price of the phone I bought. So I head over, surprised to no one, the manager flat out tells me they can't not help me and refused to show me the notes on my own account. So with no choice I go ahead and do the warranty exchange that leaves me without a phone for the last 5 days and because of the work I do lost hundreds in income and have been unable to contact my daughter. Well the problems do not stop here. I go to activate an old phone cricket phone that I bought when I first started when them and come to find out that I can not due to the fact that the ESN number had been stolen and used on an illegal account cricket refused to do anything to cancel the illegal account even though they told us to go to a corporate store to verify that I had possession which I did, and still nothing...Desired Settlement: First I would like to be credited for the all time and money I have spent going from store to store, i'm not asking for millions but I was told I would be credited a months bill. Also I would like to be place into a new phone not one that refurnished I paid for a brand new phone I would like to get a brand new phone I was promised galaxy S3 and I think with all the time and money I have lost trying to get all this fixed and getting the run around getting the S3 or S4 is the least Cricket can do.

Review: In February I signed up for Cricket's family plan. I was forced to purchased new smart phones-Through the phones only retailed for around $250 I was charged $450. My father is 79 and he is having trouble operating the smart phone. I wanted just a regular phone but Cricket said it had to be a smart phone-meaning I of course had to purchase a new smart phone. My father is still having problems using the smart phone and would like a Samsung Denim flip phone but I can't use that phone with my family plan would have to pay for a separate line. I don't need the family plan if he isn't on it. Also I try to trade in the some of the phone's I was originally over charged for-Cricket was offering triple trade but once again I was unsuccessful.Desired Settlement: I would like a Samsung Denim phone that I my father can use on my Cricket family plan and I would like to trade in some of these phones I previously purchase for triple the value so I can get a Samsung S4, I don't like the phone I have.

Review: last year on April 30 1913 I discontinued fphone service with Cricket, because after 5 months staying in Las Vegas I had to returne to Canada. Then In July 1913 I went to my fatherland country Poland for 6 months. When I returned from Poland to Canada on January 15 1914 my Citibank in Las Vegas notify me that Cricket still taking money from my account. Then immediately I called Cricket to refund overpayment, but they refused. On April 30 this year I lay complain in one Cricket corporate store on Jones/Flamingo and they promised to solve this problem. After waiting over 3 weeks they called me that they have plicy to never refund any mistake they committed. Now I have only 2 weeks more to stay in Las Vegas and I wish this dispute will be over. I don't know when next time I will come to Vegas, to take action against those greedy and irresponsible people. I have documents of my last payment to Cricket indicate the end of service. Kind regards- M. [redacted]Desired Settlement: That overpayment should be refund as soon as possible to my account

Review: Last month I went to my local Cricket store to sign up for the 5 phone plan for $100. I was charged $450 for 4 phone needed to sign up for the plan. I purchased 2 Samsung Galaxy Discovers & 2 Cricket Engages phones. I went to pay my first bill today and it was $194. I called they said I had to go to the store which I did. I don't feel like I got very good service. I noticed the phone I just purchase were $29.99 & $79.00 totaling $217.98, for 4 phones. I have no idea why I was charged $450. I feel totally ripped off and I am unhappy about the time consuming problems with the billing. Somehow I was shorted a phone also. I still need another Cricket Engage.Desired Settlement: I would like the $232.02 I was overcharged refunded and a Cricket Engage phone w/phone number to complete my five phone plan.

Review: On November the 16th I went into the cricket store at 1905 Irving street in San Francisco to add my line to a plan. The store clerk took my info and began the process of transferring the number. At the time the transfer was supposed to take 1-3 days because the original carrier was going to take time releasing the phone number. The clerk would not sell me a sim card for my phone and instead wanted me to wait until the transfer was complete. The transfer could take up to three days, and if the line was transferred over in the middle of the day, I would not have any phone access until I would be able to get to a cricket store to purchase the sim card. I explained to the clerk that I was not willing to drop everything and go to a store just to pick up a sim card once my phone number had been transferred. He insisted that he could not help me, after three hours of arguing with him and one of his co-workers, I went home. I had been at that store three times that day, and spent over 4 and a half hours there, all for nothing. The following day at 12:00 PM I received a phone call from the same clerk, stating that I would have to return to the store to restart the phone number porting process, as he had cancelled the request the night before. He stated that the process was taking too long and he thought that maybe it would speed up if he put in a new request. I had not authorized him to do this. Not only that, but he had been using my personal information to log into the account and fiddle wit h the account settings. This is highly unprofessional and illegal.I returned from work that day to go to the store and spoke with a Chinese woman who identified herself as [redacted]. She apologized to me and asked for the information so that she could look up the account. She, too, gave me the run-around, and stated that she could not look up the account, as the information had been forwarded to her manager Paul to look into. She stated that she would call me back once she had heard from her.Desired Settlement: [redacted] told me I couldn't do anything but go home and wait for her to call me the next day, Tuesday November 18. She said she would call me back but never did. [redacted] and her employees have been nothing but rude and unwilling to help. I called several times on Tuesday the 18th, but every time I called they put me on hold and then hung up. I spent countless hours at this store, to no avail. I would like to speak to a manager about this issue, and I would like compensation for my lost time.

Review: Hi my name is [redacted] and I rented a galaxy s4 from a company named "ybuy" through cricket. They said I have a pay as cash option which allows me to pay the phone off early within 3 months before the 25th of this month or I will be charged basically 700$ So I made regular payments without a problem of 45$ and just recently on 9/16/14 at 6pm I was at the cricket store in Avondale making my last payment of 220$ which they said they couldn't take it all at once so we did 4 different transactions until it equaled 220$. I contacted ybuy that day to tell them I paid it off early they than said they would send me an email or letter and after 2 days of hearing nothing I called them and they stated they never received my payments plus that it was now 225$ so I fixed it with them to the right price of 220$. I than called cricket customer service and they gave me a case I.d for the problem I was having about my missing money and that someone will respond to me within 2 days to find out what happen and it has now been 5 days since I paid off my phone and cricket has not been no help by giving me the run around over the phone and it is really frustrating because I have all my receipts and it feels like they kept my money and didn't give it to ybuy like they were supposed to do. What should and can I do?I'm also Still having issues with ybuy and that 225$ they want to charge me after they said they fixed it but that's another story lol. Thank you and have a good day.

I would appreciate if they give ybuy their money so I won't owe for my phone anymore or give me a refund so I can pay them another way.

Review: I went into the Cricket Store at [redacted] in [redacted] on July 22, 2013 to find out why my cell phone was not charging. The salesman said the phone "was no good" and that over time the charger stops working because the plug wears out. In the meantime, he sold me a "better" phone which turned out to be piece of junk. It's unfortunate that I did not realize until I went to the [redacted] concert that the camera on the phone did not work. When I used the camera it caused all of the features on the phone. to stop working. The next day, I reprogrammed the phone by dialing [redacted], the phone reset, but then the problem occurred again. I then took the phone into the Cricket store on [redacted] in [redacted]. The reps in the store are anxious to sell their products, but they are not happy to hear about problems with the products they sell. After waiting in the store for 25 minutes the rep finally waited on me, only to send me home with the same broken phone that I came into the store with. He advised me to contact their service repair company by dialing [redacted] since I'd had the phone 34 days which was 4 days longer that the 30 days they require the cell phone be replaced. I explained to him that the camera never worked and I'd only discovered it when I went to the concert. He apologized and said "there is nothing" he can do. I contacted their repair company and I was told that I had to pay to ship the phone to them. When I refused to spend additional monies on the phone, I contacted [redacted] direct. Their rep explained the process and since it would leave me without a phone for 2 weeks, she suggested I go to Cricket and ask for a loaner. I went to Cricket and asked for a loaner, and found they don't give loaners. Since I had my old phone, I asked Cricket to allow me to use that as a loaner, they said they would charge me a fee.I refused to pay a fee.I told them I've been a loyal customer, he said, "sorry I can't help you". I left the store and promised that I will be closing my acctDesired Settlement: I want Cricket to acknowledge my relationship with them by refunding my money. They can have all of the items back that was on the receipt of the cell phone purchase. I am a very unhappy Cricket consumer. I've contacted [redacted] who is repairing the phone, to see if they would refund me. Their representative responded to advise me to contact Cricket direct for a refund. Since I'd already done so, I decided to launch this complaint. Cricket is CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY unless you are spending money.

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding a Cricket store. In her complaint, Ms. [redacted] states that she visited a Cricket store because her phone was not working properly. The sales representative told her the phone was broken, and sold her a new one. She realized that the camera on her new phone didn’t work, so she returned to the store. They would not replace her phone because she had her phone for 34 days. She was referred to Cricket customer service, and was told that she would need to pay to ship the defective phone back. Ms. [redacted] refused to pay any additional costs to receive a new phone. She contacted [redacted] directly, and was told that their repair process takes two weeks. The [redacted] employee recommended that Ms. [redacted] visit a Cricket store to request a loaner phone, but upon returning to the store she found that they do not have loaner phones available. Ms. [redacted] is requesting a refund for her phone.

We apologize to Ms. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service she felt she received. Cricket strives to provide excellent customer service and we regret when that high standard is not met.

Ms. [redacted]’s complaint was forwarded to the [redacted] in her area. They have made several attempts to contact Ms. [redacted] and have left voicemails for her. The Cricket store is willing to replace her phone free of charge. If this is not acceptable to Ms. [redacted], the store is willing to issue a complete refund. They will continue to try to get into contact with Ms. [redacted] so that her complaint can be resolved.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I do not agree that Cricket Representatives have tried to contact me and I do not trust that their representative will honor the resolution provided in their response, specifically because I have not gotten any phone calls from Cricket, nor have I had any messages left on either my home or cell phone.

Review: on august 4th 2013 I bought phone minutes totalling the amount of 70 dollars a 25 dollar prepaid card and a 45 dollar card. I called when I got home to add them to my phone. I was informed that for my kind of account they usually don't accept the type of cards I bought because they prefer me to use my debit card. the customer service lady then told me I could use them for this time only which was fine with me . (if I had known everything that would transpire I would have just went to the store and got my money back). my phone was turned on and stayed on for about 5 days, I called to ask what was going on because I had paid my bill the week before. they informed me that there was an investigation going with my phone because of my cards. so after about 20 minutes they told me it would be about a week before they could turn my phone on. I was not happy but allowed it to stay that way . I called back still waiting for my phone. to be turned back on. they still had no answers for me . by this point I was very upset because I have drs offices that call for my child . I didn't want to have to go thru another carrier and have to change my number. to make a long story short my phone was off a total of 19 days in august, they credited some of my money back but in September I ended up having to pay 17 dollar and my phone is now off again. I have no idea what to do. I feel like they don't care because they are a big company.Desired Settlement: I would like my phone turned back on and an apology for their actions I do not like being without a phone and feel like ive been their customer for over a year I deserve respect.

Review: I have had this service for about three months now and I have not been able to use my phone. I have been having issues with service and with Internet about 16 hours a day I don't have service on my phone. I have called cricket numerous of times trying to solve this issue and it hasn't. I am paying for a cell phone service and I am not getting no service. I feel like I am paying and not receiving what I am paying for. I have called them and try working with them doing all the procedures and updates and everything they ask me for and nothing has work. So my last solution is to change cell phone provider but in Oder to do this I ned to unlock my phone and they won't provide my unlocke code until I have 4 consecutive months with the service. So they are forcing me to pay another month in order to obtain the code. Pay for another month of nothing no service no internet. This phone was bought at cricket and it is absolutely paid for so for me that means it's my phone and I should be able to do as I please.Desired Settlement: I request a refund for all the time I was not able to use my phone.

Review: Company targets its victims by advertising low rates for unlimited everything service. They also advertise you can bring your own phone and number. They let you verify if your phone is compatible with their service by typing in EIN number. Even if the site says your phone is compatible it's not. You prepay for a SIM card and then it's shipped to you. It tells you how to activate phone with new SIM card. It then says phone is not compatible. You are then left without any phone service. To resolve this you have to get a compatible phone immediately or switch back to the service provider you just left. All of the transaction is done online, so it's not possible to get a compatible phone immediately. The only help they offer is tell you to buy a compatible phone. They don't give any refunds or credits on your account. As soon as you switch back they keep all of your money and cancel your account. They don't tell you any of this until after the fact. Customer service is terrible! They laugh (literally) at the frustration and trouble you go through and then hang up on you frequently when you request to speak to a supervisor. I found a local Cricket wireless dealer ([redacted]) and they tried to help me but we're unsuccessful. They don't even have a number that the managers can call for the Corporate office. The dealer ([redacted]) has many complaints about Cricket Wireless too.Desired Settlement: Refund of money paid

Review: I purchased the phone for my niece. [redacted] for [redacted] in Homewood gave me the receipt I showed her where numbers where count off on the receipt. She stated that I wouldn't have any problems with the rebate. I have the welcome paper where she wrote her name, account number and the cell number. I asked if she could print it again, she stated it was the register. I mailed it the copy of the receipt and the rebate 3 weeks before the deadline. I just receive in the mail a declined letter saying I can resubmit by the 29th of September. I receive it on September 30th. The rebate was for $50.00 visa card. I can email, mail or fax whatever information is needed.Desired Settlement: I would like my $50.00 visa card.

Review: The horrible customer service. False advertisement. I have been a long term customer off and on due to customer service. I was going thru financial issues which cause me to let my phone get disconnected. My bill cycle is due every month on the 15th. I requested a payment extenuation thru the automated mobile web system. It initiated. I payed within 48 hours the extension fee. They refused to restore my service. I was on the phone for an hour with different reps they refused stating it a policy to do with 24 hours.. They was no fine print stating that on the portal or inside any store. So I waited until I had the first and payed my bill feb 6th. So my service been restricted for almost a full month. My bill comes again on the 15th of February requesting the full amount. From my knowledge this is a prepaid service. How can you still charge the full amount if my due date is still the 15th. I haven't used a full month worth of service due to my due date still on the 15th. My serviced was hotlined requesting full payment again. They are scamming people. They also sent a pay know we pay for days you haven't used you service do to account being hotlined. They have yet to credit me or anything. Nor the try to.Desired Settlement: I deserve an appology for starters. I would like a month of free service or money off to buy a new phone. I have never been thru such trouble with a phone company I faithfully pay every month.

Review: I contacted Cricket on Monday, 8/19/13 to order a phone and also sign up for monthly service. I was asked for a shipping address for the phone and gave my home address. I was not informed that a signature was required upon delivery or I would have given them my office address. The next day I received an email advising that a signature would be required upon delivery. I contacted Cricket customer service and was transferred 9-10 times all over the [redacted]. I repeatedly asked for a customer service phone number in the United States, but was refused every time. I asked to immediately cancel the transaction and was told that cannot be done until I receive the phone. I explained what should have been obvious, but clearly wasn’t, as it is one thing to speak English, it is a whole other issue to understand English. How can I receive the phone when I am not at home to sign for it? Why wasn't I advised that a signature was required? Because the customer service representatives were speaking from a script and were obviously not instructed to use logic, reason or basic respect. I was refused when I asked to speak to supervisors, I was disconnected and each time I called back, had to go through the scenario again with a new, equally unhelpful representative. You can't provide customer service when your employees don't understand what it is they're talking about.Desired Settlement: I would like my credit card IMMEDIATELY credited and to never have anything more to do with Cricket.

Review: I was referred by a relative [redacted] to join Cricket. He signed me up for their referral program, whereas, he get 25.00 credit and I will get 25.00 credit. I read the terms of conditions, and I understood that the promo could end at anytime, but I had no ideal it meant even while I was waiting to meet the terms of the deal. The term is we are to be active and in good standing(not in arrears on payment) with Cricket for two billing cycles. We both did this (and not like we wouldn't lol). We had no ideal the program was discontinued while we was meeting the terms. So yesterday, when I sign into the chat line to inquire why we have not receive our credits yet. Imagine my surprise when the chat line operator told me the program was discontinued. I told her that's not fair. So instead of addressing my concerns, she copied me the disclaimer showing that the program can end at anytime. As, I was about to respond because I felt those already in the program should still be given the credits (grandfathered in) which is only fair. She disconnected the chat line. I like Cricket, its AFFORDABLE, the phone service is GREAT, and I LOVE my phone. I have been telling people all about Cricket even trying to get them to switch over to Cricket. But, this is very unfair that We was not given a chance to receive our credits as promised. Afterall, Cricket got ther referral, and probably got me for life. Review: I have had Cricket now for 3 years and and have the basic unlimited talk text and picture messaging for $30 per month. My bill is usually due at the 1st of each month. But due to the recent merger of AT&T I am disgusted with the new Cricket. My phone was no longer working and I just wanted to get a new inexpensive phone. I have never had problems with getting phones with cricket until the merger. I went into the cricket store and saw a phone for 29.99 but due to the new merger I ended up spending nearly 64 dollars. Because of the new merger they wanted me to pay upfront half of my bill which usually isn't due til the 1st of the month so that was 14 dollars then they wanted to charge an activation fee of 15 dollars so instead of paying 30 something dollars for a new phone which I normally do I ended up paying more because of at&t merger. Not only did they required 15 dollars for next months bill they also moved the due date of the bill up from the first of each month to the 24th of each month. And what really disgusts me is that they no longer offer the cricket lifeline for customers who are under financial hardship. I was never even contacted regarding any of this and I have never had to pay an activation fee for a purchase of a new phone. I was a cricket customer before the merger and feel as if I should be grandfathered in.Desired Settlement: Refunded my activation fee and keep the due date for my bill on the 1st of each month

Re: [redacted]

Revdex.com Complaint ID: [redacted]

Cricket Account No: [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in reference to a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding Cricket service. In his complaint, Mr. [redacted] states that his phone was no longer working and he needed to purchase a new one. He paid $64.00 to transfer his existing service to Cricket’s new network due to their recent merger. He paid half of his bill upfront and he had to pay a $15.00 activation fee. Mr. [redacted] states that his bill due date is now the 24th of each month instead of the 1st and he no longer has Lifeline. He is requesting a refund for the activation fee and to keep his due date the 1st of each month.

We apologize to Mr. [redacted] for any inconvenience or poor service he felt he received. Cricket strives to provide excellent service and we regret when that high standard is not met.

We issued a $15.00 courtesy credit to Mr. [redacted]’s bill on July 3, 2014 for the activation fee he was charged. Mr. [redacted]’s billing due date is based on the day that he activated. He was provided a prorated balance adjustment for his first month of service, when migrating from his existing account. This credit reflected on the bill he paid June 24, 2014. Mr. [redacted] can change his billing due date, by calling 1-800-274-2538 on the date he wishes to change his bill cycle to.

Please note, the new Cricket Wireless does not offer Lifeline at this time. We feel our new monthly rates are just as affordable, without Lifeline. For example, Mr. [redacted] previously paid $28.76 on his legacy Cricket account with Lifeline. On his new Cricket account, his monthly rate is $25.00 per month.

We thank Mr. [redacted] for his communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses his complaint.

Hello [redacted] I had recently filed a complaint against cricket and was satisfied with their response. They refunded my $15 activation fee to my account the problem is that it still shows that I owe ten dollars when it should show I owe nothing for July.

Review: I returned my phone as advised on the below email on warranty on July 17th 2014. The same day cricket wireless took a $200 deposit out of my debit card (ending in [redacted]) for the new phone. Cricket wireless received my sent phone on July 23rd and I have been waiting since then for the return of my deposit.I have been calling repeatedly the customer support line and every time they advise me that my case is getting escalated and the money should be back on my card, but as of today I have not received anything. I am a student and any delay in the return of the $200 has a financial consequence.I also wrote on their Facebook page my complaint in hopes of resolving it. I again was told someone would call me and my case was escalated. Still I have not reached anybody and the issue has not been resolved. My RA number is [redacted] and the name on the account is [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like my 200 dollars back minimum. I would appreciate getting it back immediately.
