Review: I started my service with cricket wireless on June 13th, 2014. I was informed my cycle due date is 12th of every month which the bill is due up until midnight on the 13th. If I'm wrong don't you get a grace period of 2-3 days. On Aug. 13th my service was suspended. Don't every Business give you a grace period? Just asking.Desired Settlement: I would like a grace period of @ least 2-3 days.

Review: On March 18, 2014, I purchased a modem that attaches to the computer for internet. It was a faulty modem and I paid $79.99 for it. It only work in patches, and finally a month ago I took it in and told them that I'd like to have the modem replaced. They told me this would be my loss, and that they would try and look on Craig's List for me for a used one for around $30. I told them I didn't want to do this, and that I would just like them to replace this. I have lost almost a full month of internet, $38, plus the $79.99 for the modem. They said I can not get another new modem and they are not willing to help me other than finding me a used one for another charge. I do not think this is a good way to do business because I have already lost $117.99 with the lack of service and the modem being out. When I try to call the 1-800 number they will not put me through to an agent.Desired Settlement: Since they tell me they can't get a modem I prefer they send me a new modem. I want my refund of $117.99 to try and get internet some other way.

Review: I switched to Cricket in December 2013, ordered a brand new phone and paid for the service. The first time they screwed up setting my market district in [redacted] instead of [redacted] area. So in order to get this issue resolved after arguing with Cricket representatives I had to call corporate because they wanted me to pay ANOTHER month in advanced for them to fix THEIR mistake. So finally after driving to a [redacted] store and them telling me they can't fix it and had them call corporate they fixed the issue. So now that's fixed the Internet won't work unless its connected to a wifi network and if it does load it's very slow. You can't play videos on you tube or listen to music like you could with straight talk. So I call them again and they trouble shoot every option possible and then have me reset the phone to factory reset losing all of my information and contact in the mean time and it still didn't work. There was a ticket filed with the people higher up from the call center and after two weeks they finally call me back and I tell them that the Internet works with wifi only so of course they close the case. Now my Internet and such still doesn't work I called again for them to do the troubleshooting and they can only credit me $10. When I've been paying for a service that is not fully functional for 3 months now and they claim they want to fix the problem but they want me to pay $41.00 just to take my money and take their time claiming they are fixing my phone. I've payed over $150 to them already for a service that partially works. I am about to switch back to straight talk. Their customer service reps and their policies do absolutely nothing for their customers.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded. I've payed for a phone and three months of service that I can only use when there is wifi available.

Review: I went into the cricket store at 223 w golf rd, schaumburg Il to purchase a 4g lte Samsung galaxy s3. After purchasing the phone and a few weeks by, I've noticed that my phone has not received any 4g service. When I called 1800-cricket hot line they told me there is no 4g service in my area, and put me on hold. A few moments later a representative answered to tell me that I was in a location with 4g capabilities and I needed the 5 gb data to get it. I checked my account and was not true. My account with the 2.5gb was capable of 4g. Then they put me on hold for 5 mins to transfer me to a complete different service. My biggest complaint is why sell me a service that was not available?Desired Settlement: customer service is very poor. I know have a phone that I paid $330 for that does perform the way I hoped.

Review: My complaint is with their insurance service that they provide. The company [redacted] is suppose to provide cell phone insurance for damage, lost, or malfunctioning phones. I made my claim on September 10,2014. Since then, I been given the run around by this company. They sent out the first replacement phone which was damaged because the charging port didn't work. It would not hold a charge. When I received the phone I told the company that; I have personally purchased this phone. And I know it has defects. Could you please send me a different model. That when they told me. "We are not and upgrade company. We just replace the phone with a like or same model of phone." I then told them, " this is not like or same the phone that I had. The phone does not have the storage capabilities and that what's most important." So second replacement began malfunctioning; the keypad stopped working. I couldn't make any phone calls or use the internet. I called Tech Support several times to address the matter. Their answer was, "Just take the battery out." On October 9,2014 after being transferred four times, I finally got through to speak to someone about the second replacement phone. I spoke a Supervisor. The told me they would continue to send out the same malfunctioning. I told her that is not expectable. I should be able to rely on my and I can't with the produce you are sending me. She then hung up on me. I called back and started a new claim. The representative told me that I have to wait 48 hours to see if Corporate would approve the claim then I could be sent the same malfunctioning phone. So now I'm waiting for a phone that may or may not work.Desired Settlement: A different model phone. I also would like someone to look into their business practices.

Review: On 30 Sep 2014 I went to Cricket Wireless store @ 236 S. Coast Hwy, Oceanside CA 92054. I inquired about a 4 phone line service, porting 4 numbers from T-Mobile. While inquiring and getting set-up, I noticed a sign with 3 plans they offered, and that on the plan I was signing up on ("Smart" plan) there was "International texting" with an asterisk. I asked the salesman, Isai, a very specific question, and told him that this was important for me. I asked if the international texting included the country of Sweden. He told me "yes, it includes Sweden." I then signed up with them. Two days later, I was contacted by someone in Sweden by phone that they were texting one of my 4 lines, but nobody answered. We tested the messaging and found out that it didn't work. I called Cricket customer service and found out that they do NOT have service to Sweden among the countries they offer service to. I explained my situation and said I needed to be refunded everything. I spoke with a Supervisor, Carol, and she told me that I need to take it up with the store in question. I called them because I needed to cancel service and open another with another carrier. The salesman (same on) told me that Sweden was a country they will soon have service with, which did not matter to me at that point (the customer service agent denied that Sweden was coming soon with their offerings.) When I finally got to the store (2 days after signing) to get a refund, Isai denied that he said "yes". However, I would NEVER sign with a company that did not have the option with Sweden. He said that I could get a refund for the service, but not for the activation or SIM cards. I told him I was sold under fraudulent claims and want a 100% refund. He denied. I asked to speak to the manager, and he called the manager, but the manager refused to speak to me, but supposedly conveyed to Isai that I will not get a refund. Isai told me to go to the Cricket corp. office about 3 miles away, which I did, but they said that the store is independent.Desired Settlement: I want a 100% refund for my purchases, $230.00, including one month service at $160.00 and the remainder for activation fees and 4 SIM cards. I was told I could not get the activation fees and SIM card fees refunded, but in reality, I got NOTHING refunded. The account is closed with them, as I needed to port my numbers to another carrier, which effectively closed the account. The account number was [redacted].Thank you

Review: I recently moved from Massachusetts to Colorado and wanted to activate my iphone 4S with a No contact service provider. I was lead towards Cricket wireless from a friend. I logged onto their website and liked their plan costs so and noticed that I could bring my own phone and didn't have to buy a new one. So I ordered a SIM card through them for $9.99 and paid for the 1st months service $50.00 which was unlimited talk text and data. I waited 2 days for UPS to deliver my SIM card and phone number to me. It arrived on 6/18/2014 I followed the direction for activation and got an error code on my phone so I got online and chatted with their tech support who told me my phone was locked. (I had no idea, I'm not that tech savy) the tech support guy told me to bring my phone to a Cricket store to have them unlock it. The nearest store was 45 minutes away...but I did it anyway. The worker at the store told me they can't unlock the phone my previous carrier has to unlock it. This was more work than I was looking for so I went and bought a new phone at a different store closer to where I am living. I called Cricket Wireless today and asked for my $50.00 back for services not rendered (I am willing to pay the $9.99 for the SIM card because I opened and installed it) but the person I spoke to said there are no refunds even if you didn't use the service. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said the supervisor will not take your call he said to tell you that he will tell you the same thing it is our internal policy. This is unheard of! They didn't provide a service and will not give me my money back. I finally got to speak to a man named Pedro who said he was the supervisor (after I threatened small claims court) but he kept saying the same thing over and over. It's our policy NO REFUNDS FOR SERVICE. it's not listed on their website that I can see anywhere and he told me it's the customers responsibility to make sure your phone is unlocked (also not mentioned on their site)Desired Settlement: I would like my $50.00 for services NOT rendered refunded please

Review: I ordered 2 phones during the Christmas holiday. One was for a new line of service ([redacted]). The other phone was for an upgrade (no phone number should have been given for it). I received both phones with 2 new phone numbers. No information was in the packages that the phones came in. I was told to call after 48 hours of the phones arriving to activate the phone. I called and they told me that they did not show that the phones had been paid for and that I would have to pay the fees before it could be turned on (I had previously done this but since they said that no money had been debited out of my account, I needed to give them the information again in order to process the transaction). My account was debited 3 times for 2 phones. Here is how the transaction was processed:1. Debited my account on 12/23/13 for the phone that I only wanted to upgrade ($32.84).2. Debited my account on 12/27/13 for the phone that I wanted to activate price includes phone and activation fee ($68.85)3. Debited my account again on 12/31/13 ($96.21) for the both phones and activation of one line.I should have been charged only for both phones and activation for one line of service. I gave the MIED on both phones and they activated both even though I told them what I needed. They said they would send me a refund of $68.85 and I have been waiting almost 2 months. No one seems to speak enough english to understand although they say they do. I have been unable to get this resolved.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded($68.85) and I have cancelled both lines. The numbers in question are [redacted] and [redacted]. I did not need the second phone number and should not have been charged for it.

Review: Decided to sign up for Cricket's 5 for $100 plan. First line was set up in a store on 2014-10-11. Nothing but a variety of problems since. Advertising plainly states 5 lines for $100 [redacted], even stating "where what we say is what you pay, like 5 lines for one hundred bucks a month" in a commercial. When setting up the 2nd line on their website, we were charged $40.80 ($40 Basic plan, $9.99 SIM, $0.81 tax, -$10 for Group Save Discount). When trying to activate the SIM, a message showed we had to pay a $10 balance before it could be activated. Cricket chat support cleared this up and got the 2nd line working with no extra payment. We then ordered our 3rd line at a charge of $30.80 ($40 Basic, $9.99 SIM, $0.81 tax, -$20 for Group Save Discount). Website showed we needed to pay a $20 balance before we could activate. Chat support was less helpful this time, refusing to activate unless $20 was paid and saying that all lines were full price the first month. I countered that the promo is 5 for $100, not 5 for $200 and then $100. I also mentioned that we paid what their website charged. Finally reached a supervisor the next day (2014-10-11) who credited $90 for the cost difference of the additional 3 lines. Activated the 3rd line and ordered/ported the 4th. Got an email on 2014-10-13 saying the number port failed and order was cancelled. Called Cricket and old carrier and found out that some of the porting info was wrong. Tried again on Cricket's site to be told that the number was already being ported. Went to old carrier's site to purchase another month (service ending 2014-10-15), but it said number deactivated. My phone number had somehow ported to Cricket with no SIM being activated. Cricket support proved worthless again, unable to send a SIM to activate. I can't use my phone number and have no service. I have transcripts of all chats, recordings of all calls, and screenshots of all relevant cricketwireless.com pages.Desired Settlement: 1: My porting issue resolved immediately. This requires a micro SIM that can be activated with my number that has already been ported. 2: One month credited for each hour spent on the phone/on hold with Cricket to fix their problems. Records show that current call time is roughly 6 hours. 3: A formal apology from all Cricket executives posted prominently on the main page of Cricket's website.

Review: I received an email from Cricket stating I could re-activate my service and get a free month. After following the instructions on the email, I was transferred to three different people at Cricket, and denied the coupon I was sent. The time I spent on the phone to try and get my service reactivated was 45 minutes. The first person I talked to asked me several questions, then told me she had to transfer me to another department to receive my offer and that all I had to do was tell them my name and phone number and ask them to read the notes she applied to my account, and that my service would be reconnected. After being transferred I had to answer every questions and explain every detail I had just told the first lady, twice. Then I was told no, they wouldn't reactivate my phone. I have copied the email to this message below:Reactivate your Cricket phone for FREE!phoneEnjoy these benefits: Free first month of service Waived past due balanceNationwide Coverage No Contracts Unlimited Messaging + DataENTER NOWEXPIRES March 31, 2014pixelsFollow these steps to activate your Cricket phone1.
