Prior to noon, two workers arrived? After talking to Jorge about the warranty work he was going to do, the job was completed much to the satisfaction of my husband and me? We were very pleased with Jorge answering our questions and the quality of work that was done to our deck by him and the other worker.? ? We did not ask for nor did we expect that there would be no charge for this work.? However, this does not change our complaint about the service department? This took much TOO long to resolve than was necessary? The constant "run around" given to us was totally wrong? My husband and I still do not understand "Why?"? [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Deck Hemet claims their product protects decks for years when I have pictures that show otherwiseAt the time we had deck helmet applied, our deck was not at the terrible state it is nowIn fact, the sales person assured us that our deck could last another 10-years with deck helmetIt lasted months before we had to call for someone to come out and resurface the deck The Deck Helmet website claims the following benefits/guarantees are stated: • year warranty on product • month warranty on workmanship • Dramatically reduces maintenance requirements • Significantly lengthens the life of your deck • Mildew resistant finish • Adds a smooth, long lasting, protective helmet Every single one of these benefits have been broken by the companyEvery single listed "benefit" is untrue The product is not a "helmet" as is claimed by the company We paid $12,for this company to apply solid wood paintIt peels from both the old and newly replaced wood boards that were initially replaced by the company I have been calling for someone to repair the damaged deck since MarchI have taken every step necessary and have gone above and beyond the scope of what any consumer should have to doThe warranty has been brokenThe product did not protect the deck as was promisedInstead the paint has peeled and the wood has been exposed to the elements which caused the wood to rot I WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY BOARDS TO BE REPLACEDTHE BOARDS ROTTED BECAUSE THE SURFACE PEELED AWAY AND CAUSED THE BOARDS TO BE EXPOSED TO THE ELEMENTSIF THE PAINT DID NOT PEEL AWAY THEN THE BOARDS WOULD NOT HAVE ROTTEDWE PAID FOR DECK HELMET TO APPLY A SURFACE ON OUR DECK BOARDSTHE SURFACE DID NOT LAST AND PEELED AWAY DECK HELMET IS RESPONSIBLE FOR STANDING BY THIER WARRANTY - THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BOARDS THAT HAVE ROTTED DUE TO THE PEELING PAINT THEREFORE, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE ROTTED BOARDS AND RESURFACING THE ENTIRE DECK WITH THE PRODUCT THE SALESPERSON SHOWED US, NOT THE SOLID WOOD PAINT THAT IS CURRENTLY ON THE DECK IF DECK HELMET IS UNWILLING TO STAND BY THIER WARRANTY THEN THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REFUNDING THE COST Regards, [redacted]

I have attached the contract and we did not have any details about lattice replacementThe customer has paid in full for the project making the final payment confirming the work was completedSince our tech did say he would replace the sections if lattice for you we will be out next week to replace.?

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because in my opinion, Deck Helmet is still not providing me with the discount pricing that was advertised in the [redacted] *** The advertisement clearly has a clip out coupon with the "deal of the century" pricing of 50% off (see attachment) The estimator provided two verbal estimates for two different options: $for the full deck and $for part of the deck I had not discussed the fact that I had the coupon from the advertisement with the estimator and when I then showed it to him, he stated that he had already included the discount in the verbal quotes that he had given me I feel that providing verbal and not written quotes, and then claiming that the coupon discount that had not yet been discussed with the estimator was included in that verbal estimate, was deceptive and misleading When I contacted Customer Service afterwards to complain about this, the representative of Deck Helmet claimed that the estimator had reported that he had given me more expensive quotes and then applied the discount This is not the case Regards, [redacted]

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. The 'owner' came out to provide an estimate on deck repair/replacement. After informing him that I was getting estimates from other contractors, he proceeded to tell me that pressure treated lumber is more expensive than composite boards, and the price he quoted was 'a gift from God'' and that I should have taken it. This arrogant jerk lacks basic customer service skills and is incompetent, unintelligent, and unprofessional. My recommendation for any potential customer is to take your business elsewhere. Don't even waste your time dealing with this jackass!
