RESPONSE: Brick and Stone veneers are not structural components of the homeThe warranty clearly states this is not a warranted condition for homes past year coverageThe homeowner should refer to the RWC Year New Home Warranty book Section thru I am very sorry but we must deny Mr [redacted] request for warranty repairs [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.At this point DR Horton has not agreed to resolve the issue that they created by using faulty materials and poor contractors They have agreed to ONLY re-stucco and re-paint the rear of my home which only eliminates 1/of the problem that they created and the remaining 3/of the home is runny and it is clearly visible it was not completed properly during construction This is very different then my fellow neighbors who had to file a construction defect lawsuit just to get DR Horton to acknowledge that they made several mistakes during the home construction and repair and repaint their homes So far the repair process has been HORRIBLY handled I was originally told on 9-that the repairs were to start on 9-and that they would take just a few days to complete all the work No contractors showed up on 9-and I was told by the DR Horton rep [redacted] that the contractors had made a mistake and would be coming the next day On 9-two workers showed up, laid down tarp and started taking off the old stucco The workers left and left the tarp on my lawn which started to kill my grass immediately and they also left behind a sharp knife that they were using to cut off the stucco I moved the tarp and called DR Horton to find out when the workers would be back and done with the work as my grass just continued to die underneath the tarp [redacted] assured me that they would be back out to continue the work by 9am on 9-and that now he is estimating that they will take one week to repair the stucco and he has the re-painting scheduled in weeks, but I never heard back from [redacted] and no workers showed up again until 9-when they did no new work to the back of my home, but left a ladder in the middle of my yard Tomorrow will be one week from when they started the work and by DR Horton's rep ***'s estimate they should have been completed This repair is already going poorly and explains why this problem came about in the first place I just need DR Horton to complete the work and still I am requesting that they agree to paint the entire exterior of my home, properly, so that we can close this matter and I do not have to deal with them again.I tried to attached photographs but they would not upload I would be happy to email any photographs or more of my documentation if needed Regards, [redacted]

Per the customer's request, the appointment has been rescheduled from March to April We look forward to addressing the remaining repair item at that time

Dear Ms***Please accept this correspondence as D.RHorton’s reply to the Revdex.com with regard to the above referenced complaint.Our Construction Area Manager, [redacted] ***, met with Mr [redacted] and we will replace several more pieces of siding on the rear porch, have Strand Engineering perform an elevation inspection, re-paint new siding that is installedWe are also working on the drainage issue with our Land department and the Developer to come up with a solution and will let Mr [redacted] know when we find it

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I have sent multiple requests to DR horton (over several months)to complete warranty repair of painting the stucco repair and replacing pavers which were marked with an "X"Also, when they stucco'd [redacted] , they destroyed my sod and oversprayed /splattered along the entire side of my homeI want DR Horton to contact me to schedule these repairsThey are not to simply show up and work on my house, with no one here Regards, [redacted] ***

We do understand how frustrating this has been for some of our customersThat is why [redacted] (***) and [redacted] (***) have provided assistance to our customers through the investigation of NIBCO tubing installed in your homeAs you know, the mechanical warranty, (HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical), which includes the plumbing system warranty ran for two years from the original date of closingThere is currently no active mechanical warranty on your home and the only resource for you as a homeowner would be through your homeowner’s insurance, if [redacted] and [redacted] were not providing assistance to you our valued [redacted] homeownerThe NIBCO manufactured tubing installed in some of our homes has been the concernWhen a leak is reported to [redacted] by a [redacted] homeowner and [redacted] is allowed to investigate, document and repair the NIBCO tubing leak, (this includes collecting a sample of the leaking tubing) [redacted] will assist [redacted] and our customer by covering the cosmetic damages associated with that leakPlease understand, [redacted] does not purchase plumbing supplies, install plumbing systems or manufacture plumbing linesThese products are provided by the plumbing contractor and subsequent systems are covered by the plumbing contractor, distributor and or manufacturer warrantyThe cross link polymer tubing (referred to as PEX) in your home is manufactured by NIBCO and is the tubing selected by the plumbing contractor, which has been tested by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) technical standards for water supply line use in commercial and residential structures worldwide The service commitment to our customers is a simple oneWe will try to work with you through any challenges you may encounter with your [redacted] homeOn September 10, an offer to replumb (OTR) your home was provided to youThe Re-Pipe Specialist contractor will contact you by e-mail to arrange a walk-thru prior to your Replumb In the meantime if another leak occurs please contact [redacted] for assistance and then e-mail [redacted] We will handle the consequential damage (water extraction, drywall, carpet) as we have done in the past claim for youRespectfully,

A warranty manager will be reaching out to the customer to further discuss

As previously recommended, the homeowner is encouraged to reach out to ***, as it is our assessment that after further investigation, the driveway cracks are a result of work performed by ***

The vice president of construction made a phone call to [redacted] the week of 12/and has committed to meeting with the owner after the holidays to see that the remainder of their warrantable repairs are completed correctly

We are sorry to hear that [redacted] feels that he was lied toThere were no deceptive practices performed A few new plans were brought in to fit a need and were under construction and advertised on 7/8/16, before [redacted] closed on 7/27/The referenced price point [redacted] is referring to is a 2,square foot home, which is the smallest square footage offered We did sell this home at $244,990, or $square footWe do not feel this is an inferior product, as the price per square foot is in line with the market and neighborhoodHome offerings are currently in the 2,247-3,square footage range and are selling and closing from $square foot to $square foot

The service manager has been in communication with the homeowner and an appointment is scheduled for May at am

We appreciate the customer reaching out to us regarding the concerns with the drainage in their yardWe understand from the local division's warranty personnel that prior attempts to address the matter have been made and the landscape contractor has left a voicemail today to schedule a visit to the homeWe look forward to bringing the matter to resolution for the customer

All of the ***'s concerns have been addressedIn reaching out to the customer yesterday, they confirmed everything was resolved

The D.RHorton Warranty Department understands the frustrations of [redacted] and is proactively addressing his shower and tub issues with follow up calls and emails Furthermore, we greatly apologize for [redacted] ***’s misinterpretation of our concern for his issues as a forum for lying Never would any of our Warranty staff ask nor tell another to lie for any cause and/or reason [redacted] was essentially told that he did not need to tell the Praxis technician about the shower having been pulled out nor, really, any of the particulars, as it is best left up to our Warranty Technicians to convey the needs for specific repairs and installsFinally, though [redacted] is understandably frustrated, D.RHorton is no more responsible for his time away to address a plumbing problem as would be for any professional services rendered We will continue to work with [redacted] to resolve his tub/shower issues and do our best to accommodate his parameters of time available

The warranty manager has been in communication with the homeowner and while the home, which was closed in 2014, is no longer covered under warranty, we are reaching out to the window vendor on the homeowner's behalf to help facilitate a resolution
