Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.Insincerity and evasion to admit poor workmanship and cost-cutting changes not authorized A DRH representative came at 12:to evaluate my month warranty repairs list First was kinds of black mold growing from only some a/c vents He scheduled waves of servicemen beginning next Thursday.Second Horton pair came at 1pm They denied any wrongs existed claiming I was correctly charged blinds on windows because "one was double wide" Then I need a partial refund on the half blind over the kitchen sink The wavy ceiling joints will be scheduled to include repainting the whole ceiling They'll also reimburse a months old plumbing bill to clean out "construction debris" that caused a flood Tiles are not laid to plan Wine rack was omitted Stone face around entry was bricked "Well, that's Your fault if you excused it." Blame the victim and don't spend anything to fix your faults! I want the countertops I selected and bought, not these "leftovers".The "granite" countertops look like quartz and are made up of FIVE sections not the THREE in the Model "We changed that; we just didn't tell you" We also changed the TV outlets from a hidden box to a floorplate cable, incompatible with the Only provider available here.And DRH construction mishandled installation of master TV and power outlets location Doors and windows stick They have a whole list including yesterday's home inspection report.We'll see whether they man up and fix the problems or paint over it Regards, [redacted] ***

Better Business Bureau: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below First of all they did send someone in the fix the bathtub, well they should have, its very clear that it was damaged in shipping or during installation regardless of the fact that it wasn't noticed during the walk throughits a shame that it took a complaint to the Revdex.com to get any help in resolving any of these problemsThey sent a couple of men in here to fix the ceiling, it looks worse now than it did before they started The job foreman came by and looked at it and said they would be back, this was monday, I haven't heard from them since Furthermore, they left my kitchen looking like the floor of a body shop with sheet rock dust on everythingI told them they need to stop trying to patch my ceiling and fix it, this isn't a used home it's a new one, and the craftsmanship should resemble nothing less I wouldn't recommend Crown Homes to an enemy Regards, [redacted] Revdex.com [redacted] Dear [redacted] : This letter is in regards to your complaint submitted on 2/19/against D.RHorton America's Builder and assigned complaint ID [redacted] The business response is either below or attachedYou have calendar days to submit your response back to the Revdex.comIf no response is received, we will assume that your complaint has been resolved The text of your dispute may be publicly posted on the Revdex.com website (Revdex.com reserves the right to not post in accordance with Revdex.com policy)Please do not include any personally identifiable information in describing the nature of your complaintBy submitting your complaint, you are representing that it is a truthful account of your experience with the businessRevdex.com may redact your complaint to protect privacy rights and to remove inappropriate language If you have any questions, please contact us at [redacted] between 9:a.mand 4:p.mor by email at [redacted] Regards, [redacted] [redacted] MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:Crown Communities scheduled repairs with the homeowner for May 24th but we cancelled the appointment because the homeowner did not accept the scope of work we had proposed per our warranty guidelines outlined by the contract between the homeowner and RWC accepted when the home originally closedThe reason we cancelled this appointment was due mostly to the fact that two previous appointments the homeowner had asked our repair team to leave their house because they did not agree with our repair planCrown Communities warranty service manager noted to replace carpet and pad from master hallway to master bath which includes both master closetsThe carpet from the formal living room was to be used for this so that we have a dye lot matchCarpet from the formal living room was to be replaced because there are hardwoods at both entrances to this room and color difference would be noticeableThe homeowner requested we replace all the carpet that got wet but our evaluation of the carpet showed no signs of delamination damage to the backing layer of the carpet which indicates no damages to the carpet, also the source of the leak was not a black water leak, no black or gray water came into contact with the carpet and/or the paddingThe padding was replaced in the formal family room on a previous appointment We advised the customer we only repair/replace what is damaged and our warranty guidelines gives the builder the discretion of repairThis information can be found in the Residential Warranty Company (RWC) handbook and was presented to and accepted by the customer at closing Our original proposal still stands – we will replace the carpet in the downstairs formal living room with new carpet and use the carpet from that same room in the upstairs hallway to ensure a dye lot matchWe propose to steam clean the carpet used in the upstairs hallway and will guarantee the customer (in writing) they will not have any delamination issues with the upstairs hallway carpet as a result of the water leak for a period of three years from this occurrence

We are in communication with the homeowner and per her request, the only remaining item is replacement/order of a shelf, which is being delivered on the 23rdThanks, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below Regards, [redacted] several items were adjusted today which pleases me but not everything ....the power wash of the siding didnt work because the labor crew ( painters I assume ) have splashed something onto the siding that will not power wash away----this will need to be re-painted........and the power wash person could not remove the substances on the bricks and the power wash person said the brick people will have to use a wire brush to remedy this...........so in essence the power wash person is thru BUT he couldnt accomplish of the areas of concern so that item is still open and Horton will have to scheduled re-painting and a brick person.........irrigation people and floor cleaning team are due Monday afternoon............I have not received word about the painting of the siding and the brick scrubbing yet nor have I been advised of their intents to remedy the standing water in the back yard and side yard

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the entire issue has not been resolved, and [redacted] has yet to give a time in which is convenient to walk the home together immediately (24-48hrs) following rain and/or reasonable running of sprinklersAlso, the neighbors to my left are experiencing extreme flooding of their yard following the installation of our drainIt's a constant complaint during rains Regards, [redacted]

Here is our response: The leak was discovered after the warranty periodWe sent out a roofer as a courtesy and fixed the roof, even though it was out of warrantyAfter we fixed the roof at our own cost, Mrs [redacted] then demanded that we remediate the discolored area we believe to have been created due to the fact the leak was never reported until further damage was done to the attic this makes it a “Non-Warrantable” issueEven though that fact in itself is grounds for refusing the remediation, we agreed to make the remediation which we have scheduledShe now claims that the leak cause electrical problems which it did notAlong with that, the homeowner hired an outside electrician to come in and do work in this same areaBecause of this, the homeowner has voided any kind of warranty for this area of the home, and we will not be responsible for this issueAgain, we have agreed to remediate the issues in her attic, even though we were not required to by the warrantyWe once again ask that the complaint be retracted as we have acted appropriately [redacted] Vice President of Construction Operations Tampa/Sarasota Division D.RHORTON America's Builder [redacted] ***

According to the Superintend half of their items has been addressed He met with homeowners last week to review the issues and is currently in the process of scheduling the remaining repairs which will complete all their outstanding issues Thank you, [redacted] * [redacted]

I have responded to the homeowner, left a voice mail, that we would be glad to review any current warranty items to get them caught up with their warranty request now rather than waiting any longerI asked them to please send me a list of any items they would like for us to review now
