The move went extremely well from the packing of my chinaware which I cherish to the reassembly and set up of our twins bunk beds/ desk set which is really a huge, complex thing to put togetherThe movers were friendly and worked very carefully I cannot be more pleased

I would steer clear of this company AT ALL COSTS! Not only do they sell you a bill of goods and not follow through, in terms of customer service, it is one of the worst I have ever dealt with So poor that Melissa just hung up on me when I told her that I was going to post a review online of the nightmare we are currently going through From the start, Michael the sales rep, overpromised and poorly estimated the cost (which was double the estimate!) They were days late to pick up the items and it sat in their warehouse for days before it even shipped! This is where the fun begins On Friday I get a call from the driver letting me know that we will be receiving the delivery between 12-on Saturday Ok, no problem With short notice, we hire a local delivery service to pick up the items from the local storage, where the truck is delivering, at 4pm No problem with time right? Well, 1pm comes on Saturday and the driver that said he would call hour before delivery had not called So, I called him Guess what, he was sitting in Georgia with a broke down truck SINCE 6AM! The guy apparently had no foresight to at least call and let those he promised delivery to that well, HE WAS NOT GOING TO DELIVER So, I had call and cancel the local delivery service and eat a $charge Sunday, no contact with the driver Monday, I had to call him only to be told he is still in Georgia Of course through all this NO CONTACT FROM EAST COAST MOVING & STORAGE where we have the contract Tuesday, no contact so I reach out to ECM&S and speak to Melissa Just the simple fact that I have to reach out makes my blood boil To sum up the conversation with Melissa, she basically fed me the "he is broke down and they cannot figure out what is wrong with his truck" We can put a man on the moon and some mechanic can’t figure out what is wrong with a semi truck over a day span! Yea, sure! She adds that after tomorrow if he is not on the road, they will have another driver pick up the load Something tells me that MAGICALLY the truck will be on the road tomorrow....bet me! I then voiced my displeasure that I had to eat a $fee from a local company and that is when Melissa pulled the contract garbage on me, we have until the 15th to deliver (screw good prompt service) so basically POUND SAND Once I confirmed that they were standing firm, I voiced my displeasure and would make sure I notated it in my online review That is when the nails came out! She barked some garbage at me about how well she did and the recorded conversation, blah blah blah, THEN SHE HUNG UP! Stay classy ECM&S, I sure hope those that read this steer clear of your company I for one will NEVER use you again!

Every company has negative reviews, and I took that into consideration when I was selecting a moving company to move me from Illinois to South CarolinaThe first sales agent I worked with sold me on the company, giving me "tips" on what to look for when choosing a company and reminding me over and over that they were not brokers, offering free storage for days, promising arrival of my stuff within 5-days and even told me that they would disassemble and re-assemble furniture I booked my move early in advance, had my date picked and a back up date for my stuff to be picked upI got a call from dispatch on Friday that the movers would come Saturday between 1-(and she gave me the wrong moving company name) and informed me that the driver would call hours prior to arrivalThe day progressed and I did not receive one phone call, I tried calling the company and ever number led me to the same voicemail and left messages that were never returnedI finally got ahold of someone, he promised to call me back in minutes, an hour goes by and no callI get ahold of him again and he asks for another minutes, and again no callThis continued until about 7:30pm where someone named David claiming to be the owner called me and promised me that would be there in the morning and to call him after I moved and he would give me an estimate on the arrival of my stuff, but was targeting early the next weekIt was snowing that weekend - so I was not mad about the delay in pick up, just the lack of communication and ability to get ahold of anyone Movers show up - he gives me a new estimate that was only a few hundred dollars more than what the sales team quoted, which was expectedThe surprise was the fact that the money I owed that day was required to be cash or money order, and it was a Sunday, and I was never given noticeThe man told me they had business days to deliver my stuff, which was not what sales told me Fast forward, a few days after I arrived in South Carolina, I try calling David and get no answerI try calling the customer service line, no answerI try calling sales, no answerfor daysWhen I get ahold of an agent he says he is going to ping dispatch and call me back, and he never doesThe next day same storyFinally getting ahold of a man named Reggie, he tells me that there still isnt even a driver assigned to my stuff and that its all still sitting in a warehouse in Illinois, 10-business days after they picked it up, it hadnt moved onceI play back and forth again on when it will arrive, calling for daysNow I am told they actually have up to business days to deliver My stuff arrives finally and the movers thought they lost pieces to the bed (which they didnt) and left without completing the assembly of they bed that they took apart Like I said earlier, every company has bad reviewsThis business didnt damage any of my stuff, they didnt try to throw surprises fees or costs at meThe big problem was ZERO communication and lots of over-promising just so I would stop calling

Records show that the settlement agreement was sent out to the client June of last year and we never received it back therefore the claim was not closedThe client will receive reimbursement through the claims department and we ask that Mrs [redacted] email [email protected] with the correct address to send the settlement form so we can resolve this claim

Amazing, I was astounded by the amount of time they took, I moved from Denver, To Berkley, and it only took them days, I was very happy with their service and hope to work with them again in the future!

We did not fail to uphold our contract the client decided to cancel and the deposit as state don the quote is nonrefundableWe would howver be willing to credit the deposity amount towarda future service

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Like I stated before, my phone calls have not been returned and no one responded to my emails Also, there was nothing in the original estimate about additional charges or that they would contract my moving service to a subcontractor [redacted] Moving handled my moving service, not East Coast This still does not explain why my cost went from $to over $ I would prefer that they return my calls and I still don't have the total cost of the move This looks like they are hiding there fraudulent activities Sincerely, [redacted]

150% satisfiedI had East Coast Moving deliver all my belongings from florida to new jersey with nothing broken or missing Their customer service when I first called was nothing id experienced from other moving companiesThey were completely professional and punctualI recommend them to anyone movingTheir service made my move stress free

I had the same amount of items as indicated originally there were no additions and I was told by sales I was a "mini move" the couches were "oversized" they were two love seats Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 9, 2015/03/04) */ the client was given an original estimate over the phone based on a list of items on the day of the Move he had additional items and packing that needed to be done that resulted in additional cost the client was informed and was given a revised estimate prior to be done which he did agree to my refund is not due and the discount was already given at pick up

We gave the client an estimate over the phone for a specific inventory and priceOn move day the inventory to be moved was different than discussed and it was more than just the size of the sofaThere were additional items, packing and over sized items as well and when the client was given a new price for the added services they declined and therefore forfeited the deposit

We are having difficulty finding this client in our data base and ask that that they reach out to us directly at 855-844-and speak with Mr [redacted] our Customer Care Specialist at extension [redacted] so we can see about resolving this issue if this is our client

We are actively looking for the clients end table and we apologize that the service failed to meet their expectations we will reimburse the client fully through the claims process for their lost or damaged goods

The clients was told at pick up that he had more cubic feet because of additional items and also that the need to pack the items with wrapping would also add some size to the volume and cost He was then given the new cost which he agreed and we provided the service as contracted
