The client was given an estimate for a particular inventory of goods however on move day they had additional items therefore they were given a new revised price they declined service and thereby forfeited their deposit as stated on their

1) I made the reservation four days in advance of my moveMy entire house was packed and organized in the garage according to large, medium, and small boxes, irregular items, and furnitureThat's how OCD I amMy daughter and I were living out of two suitcases, and I was able to list exactly what items I hadI was "well under" their minimum, I was toldI did not have "additional items" that would have put me over the estimate
2) The issue on the morning of the move was that I had a pianoThe movers said they were "unaware" that I had a piano, and that was the item that was going to require special handling, take up extra room, and incur an extra costBUT, my estimate clearly states that I had a pianoIt is a standard upright pianoThere were no surprises
3) The company's response is completely dishonestThey continue to lie about everythingBefore filing the Revdex.com complaint, I was told that the movers sent to my house were contracted from another company because the move before me had times too much stuff and there was no room for mine....BUT, the movers were dispatched in the morning and I was the first pickup window of 8-10am with families to follow after meThe company's response to this complaint is just another lie
4) I have photos of the damage caused by coffee dumped into my daughter's thingsI have photos of my belongings stacked and organized in my garage(The foreman did NOT like me documenting that and was bullying me about it.) I have a copy of the estimate that clearly states the inventory items, INCLUDING A PIANOPlease let me know if you need any of this additional evidence to support my claim

East Coast Moving and Storage has no reliable argument except than to keep repeating the same generic responseI did NOT have "more boxes or larger items than originally indicated" and, additionally, I was told on moving day that the problem was that I had a pianoEVEN THOUGH my estimate clearly states I have a pianoIt is not a "special" piano; I did not underestimate the size of the piano.....It is a standard upright piano
Furthermore, I was very much disrespected by the movers to the point where there was no way I would have trusted them with my positionsThey were rude to me, both in language and in actions, they were bullying, and they ultimately dumped coffee into my daughter's belongings before leaving my houseThe issue had escalated to the point where I didn't trust that my belongings would arrive safely based on the way they were treating me
My new estimate was 50% higher than originally estimated (even after they "waived several fees"), and they tried to change the terms of what I had been told on the phoneThe foreman tried to get me to sign a contract that stated different terms in writing and then "verbally agree" to something different....then bullied me when I said I couldn't sign my name to something that doesn't reflect our agreementHe wouldn't let me write in changes
This experience was so horrible, and I can't believe that East Coast Moving is not taking responsibility for their mistakesThe generic response that I underestimated my belongings is ridiculousI had an exact count of not just my items but exact cubic feet as they were already stacked in my garageI was even told on the phone that I was "WELL UNDER" the allowed space, but they had a minimum that they had to charge me

While we are sorry that the Ms *** decided not to use our service we did go out on the assigned day and attempted to do the moveShe did have additional items and packing needed and was given a revised quote with several discounts on it and choose not to use the service so we do apologize that she felt the need to use a different service but we did honor our reservation

We provide an estimate upon arrival they did have more items they were given a new estimate the client chose not to use a service and the deposit is nonrefundable as stated on the paperwork because we have to pay for his use of the truck fuel and the workers I still had truck and fuel expenses If
the client wants to use the deposit towards a future move we will credit towards a future move

We apologize that the clients move failed to meet their expectationWe did perform the move within the contracted timeframe but are willing to offer a refund of $in the effort to resole the complaint

First of all I had a hard time finding a company to help me move my homeI am thankful for finding East Coast Moving and StorageThe staff made me feel as if I had family helping me moveEveryone was cooperative and kind, there is a true team in this companyThe prices are a crime to be so great, it actually helped my budgetI would definitely rocommend this moving and storage company to any! Thank you East Coast Moving and Storage!

Just wanted to thank Jason and the guys at East Coast for doing such a good job with our moveThere were no extra cost or headaches and they delivered on the weekend we requested after providing us storage for free for two monthsGreat work and service!

We did not cancel our contractThe company did and the supervisor I spoke to on the phone as well as the customer service reps that handled our phone calls since the cancelation have all stated hat we would get a full refund of our depositTheir calls say they may be monitored or recorded for quality assurancePull the phone calls and you will see the company is the one who cancelled our contract and stated that we would get a full refundThe supervisor said on the phone call on July 22nd that "he was canceling our contract and we would receive a full refund of our deposit." We have since like I stated called and spoke to other people and all said our deposit would be thereThe company cancelled our contract because they could not provide services within the time frame stated in our contract

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYMy move was scheduled for a sunday and the movers 'no called no showed'Called first thing monday morning and the lady tries to argue with me about the date on my move only to realize later in the conversation that I was right and they should have been thereThen I get 'oh actually I think the driver is having issues with the truck' Call the driver and get 'we are in the carolinas and the truck broke down but we will be there tomorrow for sure late afternoon/early evening on Tuesday'It is not 3:30am on WEDNESDAY and no word from the moversalready paid my deposit...feeling gyped....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Terrible company Typical bait and switch if you aren't in their service area Maybe they offer better service if it's theirntrucks, but their saws people will say whatever it takes, and quote ou deliberately low, just to get the deposit Then the truck shows up and gives the whole "this is way more stuff" Typical moving company hassles that come with dealing with a broker Avoid Use a real movng conpany; and regardless what these people tell you, thre trucks DO NOT SHOW UP, it's someone else's truck
