I am rejecting this response because:They have for the second time been unable to keep their appointment.  The first time they did not bother to call to say that they were unable to keep the appointment and we lost a day of work, this time we called after waiting several hours to be told again we were bumped from the schedule.  This is the same experience as when we were having the floors installed.  At this point we do not believe there is any intent to honor the warranty and they have no respect for our time or good faith efforts to be available for them.

I am rejecting this response because: I have not accepted to replace the carpet at a discount rate. The carpet should be replaced by Empire at their expense. I do have a reprensenative coming to my house for a quote, but I doubt I'll ever do buisniness with them again. The carpet they originally sold me was supposed to be top of the line, but clearly it's low grade material. The company doesn't stand behind their product and attempts to bury warranty-voids deep in the contracts to avoid paying for carpet replacements. I truly believe Empire Carpet is running a scam. I will never recommend them and hopefully my experience will force the company to change their policies and ethics.

We appreciate the customer contacting us regarding their concerns. Inspection was completed and the issues were found to be site related moisture damage. Such damage is not covered by warranty. We have provided a quote for repair.

Cynthia [redacted]  i hired an exterminator and we are giving it two weeks to see if problem resolves  that said we will decide if an additional treatment is required if bugs still remain. But the corporate office of Empire Today has been very accommodating in handling this problem.

The local office spoke with the customer on February 16th and was able to reach an amicable resolution to the customer’s concerns.

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with the agent before floor was installed about my dog sometimes having accidents on the floor. He told me that I would not have any problems with the floor. If I had been told this was not the floor to go with I would have went a different way. He must have just wanted to make a sale. This was clearly talked about and I went on what he stated to me. They are willing to replace the floor but they want an additional $ 1500.00 to do it. I just don't understand why I should have to pay out this much again for their fully convincing me that the floor was pet safe.

[redacted]the business has a record of this type of behavior and they have not shown good faith in a resolution to this matter in addition I gave a the company an opportunity to try and make It right and on the second appointment they compounded their callous disregard and sent a crew to try to upsell my job  and they said they did have enough materials to do the job in any way

Inspection determined that the damages were post-installation and as such not covered by warranty. We provided a fair and reasonable offer to resolve this matter. We are hopeful the customer will reconsider.
