For customer satisfaction and goodwill, we have offered to replace the living room area at no cost to the customer. The customer has scheduled for August 30th for the replacement.

I would like to thank Revdex.com for its service. Without Revdex.com we would not have been aware about the mold which would have progressively gotten worse leading up to health problems. Since March 30th, Empire has ceased all communication with me and it is my belief that they would not have contacted me if it weren't for this complaint.
However, on 10/6/15 Empire did contact me in regards to reinstalling the hardwood floors. On 10/14/15, a subcontractor came to the house to make the repairs. However, after they started to remove the planks, they stopped, due to high moisture level and mold. The self leveling agent that was poured into the bedrooms was not cured when the second installation was completed. The mold is left exposed and in the mean time my family is camping out in the living room.
The mold could have been prevented if they complied with the inspector's recommendation back in March. This company put me and my family's health at risk due to negligence on their part. This whole process has caused me so much stress, anxiety, and has left me emotionally distraught. I told this company that the main reason I was replacing the carpet was because my children's doctors recommended it be removed due to their medical conditions. No customer should ever have to go through this torture. As of this day Empire has not scheduled a return date. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: Empire has been nothing but resistive to any resolution, and when we supplied and signed a rediculous "no harm agreement, promising not to say anything derogatory or of a defamatory nature PRIOR to completion of any repair, before the required date, they informed us that they did not get it, that I missed the deadline date, and that I needed to resend it.  In addition, because they could not locate the faxed "gag" agreement, they told me they would not be able to complete the repair as scheduled.  I have the fax report showing the date and time it was sent.  Empire also emphasized that they are absorbing a fee of approx 800.00 that they originally expected me to pay for repair of the carpet that would not have occurred if they had installed it correctly in the first place.  I have informed Empire, that with all considered and they way they have behaved throughout this event, that I have terminated any further discussion, and that I would have the re stretch completed by another firm.  That was completed on the 29th of November for $175.00, far from what Empire was going to charge.  We will not recommend nor refer Empire for anything in future and consider their business practices and customer care to be absolutely abysmal. They were also informed that my "hold harmless agreement" and my signature on that form to be null and void since they did not fulfill their part of the agreement.
Sincerely,
Michael [redacted]

The General Manager spoke to the customer at length and offered replacement of the baseboards and a significant discount for inconvenience. We believe this offer to be fair and reasonable and are hopeful the customer will reconsider.
