MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:
everything was done according to contract.

MY RESPONSE
Because of their long verifiable history of dissatisfied customers, Engine Shopper, LLC aka Engine and Transmission Word (EATW) through Quality Used Engines, intentionally, willfully and purposely concealed/omitted their identity to deceive and entice customers who would otherwise not do business with them, an act of Civil Fraud By Omission, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes And Codes [redacted]. Contract is null and void.
Refund my money and have the integrity of honest disclosure in your advertising and business practices.

I understand about the warranty on the engine, however, the issue is I have never been given proof that this was a low-mileage engine.  I paid addition premium for a low-mileage engine.  When the mechanic too the engine apart, the engine, he determined that the engine had well over the mileage that I paid for and, in his opinion, the engine sent to me was in worse condition than the engine it was replacing.  Quality Used Engines has never provided me with proof that they sent me the low mileage engine that I paid for.  They have no way of proving it to me.  What I paid for and what I got were two different things.  It cost me money to have the bad engine installed and more money to have it uninstalled so that I could be sent the correct one.  I have made numerous phone calls to QUE management only to be treated very badly and hung up on.  If they provided a quality part at a quality price as per their claims, this would never happen.
Regards,
[redacted]

If the correct engine just so happens to be faulty, Mr [redacted] would need  to provide us with all of his so called documentation from an A.S.E Certified garage, and make is available for pick up in the state of Washington, so the replacement engine can also be shipped to the state of Washington. He would not qualify for labor coverage because his extended warranty has not been activated yet, neither has he driven the vehicle for 14 days and 501 miles.

I really think this is inconvenient especially considering the amount of time it has taken for a refund that was supposed to happen months ago.
It's really sad that I had to contact the Revdex.com to even get a response from anyone. And all the money I put in this engine and to only get $400 back
is really disheartening. I was lead to believe both invoices were valid just to hear that only one of them were valid. The first engine that was sent was defective and I had
to pay for that out of pocket along with the second engine. I will NEVER do business with this company again this was the most unacceptable experience with a business I have ever
experienced. Please make sure you mail the check to the address given months ago. Since there seems to be so much miscommunication going on I want you to verify the address
the check will be sent to.

I am writing in response to your letter regarding a Ms. [redacted]. She has purchased an engine from us back on December 11, 2013 and it was for a 2006 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 liter engine, and we sent it to her in a timely manner. She then had called us on August 5, 2014 and said the engine had stopped...

on her with no other explanation, she had not taken it to a garage yet or nothing, the engine just stopped, that is all she said. So we did some research on her order and she had never activated her extended parts and labor guarantee like required at the time of installation per terms and conditions form that she had agreed to at the time of sale. We tried to help her out with the 180 day parts only guarantee since she never activated the extended warranty, but it was 57 days past 180 day parts only and that claim was also denied. Unfortunately there was nothing we could do for her per contract.

Regards,
[redacted]  I was not told that the purchase of a engine was not warrantable if you don't activate a warranty when it should be done with the purchase I am still warranty the engine for the customer of mine I am purchasing a new head and pistons to fix engine. I plan to be in business for sometime and word of mouth is the quickest way to kill a business that's why gotengines changed name to south west engine supply. When they took my money no one said that the warranty had to be called in what a way out of being responsible for what they sell, it only tells me that its poor business and disheartening to know that there still misleading the public by killing one business and starting a knew name too mislead the public and using the internet to deceive the purchaser. when the engine was purchased  was only told that the engine had a warranty of 3 years 36k and no one said it had to be activated. the business needs to be held accountable.

Mr. [redacted] had ordered a transmission from us on May 23,2014 for a 2005 Volkswagen Passat and it was shipped out to him in a timely manner. He had then called us on October 31, 2014 to report it was shifting hard, however it was past 90 days and he had never activated his extended...

warranty so there was really nothing we could do for him.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Fortunately, GotEngines.com customer Service calls are said to be recorded. A review of those calls will show that I, in no way, threatened or implied that I would not return the faulty engine unless they paid for my labor. I did state that I felt that they should be responsible and, on another call, after they had failed to ship the replacement engine as they stated in an e-mail that they had, I did say that I was uncomfortable committing myself to the cost of removing the bad engine without having a replacement on hand. To this they responded that they would not send a replacement engine without the faulty engine first being in transit back to them, unless I signed an agreement promising to pay for a second engine should the faulty engine not be returned to them in a specified amount of time. That, to me, is unacceptable, in part, because I do not have control over the time frame and schedule of the repair shop, but also because I believe that GotEngines.com knowingly sent a faulty engine to begin with (there are just too many other complaints out there for this to be just an aberration). I have been nothing but pleasant with the people I have spoken with there as one can hear on the "recording" I have at no time been and, in fact, am incapable of being confrontational due to several brain injuries and brain surgery I have suffered. I have been unemployed for more than 20 months and am borrowing the money to repair my car. While I do feel GotEngines should be liable for the labor costs of installing the faulty engine they provided (note that the auto repair shop manager stated that there was nothing that could happen to an engine in shipping that would cause the engine to be so obviously faulty and it is his opinion that the engine was either never tested or known to be bad by the technicians at GotEngines.com) However, at this point I would just like them to provide what I paid for. A functional engine with less than 40,000 miles. It should be noted that there are numerous reviews that I have discovered online that make very similar complaints to my own. I would hope that GotEngines.com would be eager to avoid having, yet another, dissatisfied customer. Moreover, I would hope that the company's management would just want to take the right and appropriate action.

I am very disappointed. It's really not that big of a deal bit more a matter of principle.

We simply cannot always provide proof such as a VIN #or CarFax report due to what source we receive the engine from and the records they supply.  Most will only supply us mileage listed off the odometer of the vehicle it was taken from.  If we had the information available which was requested we would gladly forward it to the customer as we have done may times.  We are very clear is letting the customer know the mileage is estimated and our Representatives will tell customers the same thing we have stated here when speaking with them.  We cannot honor a claim based on the opinion of a mechanic.

I have reviewed the response...

made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was in contact qiththe SW Transmissio. Company 17 August 2015 to inquire on a message I received by the company who sent the transmission to me. [redacted] from the shop in Fresno CA. Stated that he was in contact with SW Transmission and informed Niel that the transmission disnt have the torque converter to the transmission that was being sent. According to this individual Niel. He stated to send it anyway. [redacted] immediately contacted me to inform me that the transmission was not complete.

In addition. I was charged for a complete transmission that included thetorque converter. This piece alone is 300.00 and the transmission is pointless without it.

I specified this to [redacted] in the Warranty deprtment of SW Transmissions and he stated it was send out the way it was sent. I informed my after 3 weeks of hassle and wrong parts I would like my money back. His words were not until they receive the transmission back WHICH by the way was suppose to be here today 17 August 2015 according the the tracking number.
This has now left me another day of no work waiting this delivery.

FYI on the response to the Business owner comment; NO not all 2001-2005transmissions are the same. There are 2 different market transmissions.
1- US Market
2- CANADA Market

Two completely different sensor fitting and line ups for bolts.

Thank you

Mr. [redacted] had ordered a Nissan trans back on 4/20/2015 and somehow he had received a Ford transmission, we do not how the mix up happened whether it was the trucking company or our shipping crew. Mr. [redacted] was sent the correct transmission and everything has been straightend out. Unfortunately we do...

not cover rental cars, it states that right on the warranty and on the terms and conditions form that he had agreed to.

Mr. [redacted] was sent a replacement on accident, we have now picked up the transmission and Mr. [redacted] will get a refund immediatly it will show up in his account in 3 to 5 business days.

I tried to respond to your last message about Compliant ID [redacted] but was unable to type in text section for some reason. I am Rejecting the response from Engine Shoppers,LLC. First of all the real name of the Business is Southwest Engines. They are using Engine Shoppers to cover up all of the complaints they have against them in the Revdex.com.

First of all my son tried to place the order with my credit card having it shipped to his home. He was unable to complete the order because his address didn't match the one on the credit card. It had nothing to with raising the spending limit. First of all they would not allow my son to raise the limit on my card. The card has a 15,000 line of credit and the balance was 6,000 at the time of purchase. They gave my son a purchase order number and I called it in the next day. It was I who noticed that they charged my credit card twice not them. They only had one Engine with those specs on hand so they couldn't have saved me thousands of dollars by not shipping another. It took 14 days to ship the one that they did. After calling several times they credited my card and kept 7%. There was no credit card machine involved in the transaction as they stated. I called the credit card company and they did not make the charge.
After installing the Engine the mechanic called and said water was leaking out of both sides of the blocks. Not once did we  mentioned anything about Antifreeze as they claimed.
The biggest lie of all in their response is that THEY DID NOT CREDIT MY ACCOUNT TWO WEEKS AGO. They still owe me 4995 dollars for the Engine plus the 249(7%) that they kept.

Thanks

We will gladly send a replacement engine as soon as we know the engine being replaced is ready for pick up when we deliver.  Please let us know the dates this will be available and we will send out a replacement engine.  Your mechanic will be able to give a day when this would be possible.  We will not deliver a replacement engine until the time we know the defective engine is available for pickup.

you are lying , we have a strict policy of selling direct fit parts. Stop putting blame on someone else. if you told us you had a 71 corvette we woul never sell it to you.

This is what they told me as well but the fact remains there,s no where in their paper work does it say anything about a 90 day warranty nor on there web page . They told me that when I signed the shipping form it was in there about the extended warranty but I have never signed a shipping form little alone seen one . They have one year warranty all over the place and a spot to say about extended warranty but nothing to say you only have a 90 day warranty and the extended warranty if activated is to take it to one year. They are using mis representation to try to deny the warranty claim , fact remain  the transmission from the time it was installed to the time the transmission quit working is way under the one year warranty they claim to have, the activation of their so called extended warranty is just paperwork and a picture. Do they not think I would have done this if I would have known about it , they have gotten their money and don,t care about customer .   I will follow this up with a phone call in a few days after someone has a chance to read and review this .

It is not acceptable that Engine and Transmissions does not look up the VIN number on its engines and provide accurate information about what they are selling. Instead, they blame their supplier? How is it that I can look up a VIN number but they cannot? It is because they falsely advertise their merchandise to pray on their customers as evidenced by the 200+ complaints submitted to Revdex.com. Unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable.

The complainant never activated the Free Warranty per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty.  We asked for the mechanic to fax over the diagnostic report to see if there was anything we can do and never received the requested documents.  Our last communication until recently was on...

8/17/2015 regarding the claim. For the aforementioned reasons, the complainants claim was denied. We encourage all our customers to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty to avoid the situations. We are not out to "scam" anyone, but we do require customers to follow the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty they agree to when purchasing.  We cannot activate a warranty via the telephone and this must be done 10 days after receiving and installing the Transmission to avoid any damage which may occur from improper storage.

The order was cancelled on 1-29-15 w/ "[redacted]" who said the engine was still in the testing process currently in house and had not shipped out. I also called and left a message for [redacted] on his answering machine the same day.  I have both of these conversation recorded on my cell phone.
It's been over 70 days since the engine was returned back to engine and transmission world on February 3rd 2015 and NO refund has been credit to my account from engine and transmission world.
