Mr [redacted] said he was going to send a cashiers check for a 2002 Grand Am engine for $1540.00. We never got the cashiers check mailed to us. The tracking number he provided said the mail carrier left in mail box but we never got it.

The information contained in the business response is totally false. The engine WAS shipped with old spark plugs installed which I paid to have removed instead of shipping it back to the business for their removal and paying for shipping back. The timing chain cover had been repaired with JB Weld and it is useless. I have tried numerous times to contact customer service and manager [redacted] from the business and either there is no answer or no responses from voice mail.  Their response is not satisfactory.

We would like to have verification about the statement that we lied about the mileage on the engine.  We receive this information from our sources and if there has been some sort of discrepancy with mileage we would like the opportunity to make sure the customer gets what they ordered....

 The timing gears are not covered per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty and this is an item the mechanic should of checked when installing the engine.  We find most failures come from mechanics not performing due diligence when installing.  Also, the Sensors are not covered per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty the customer agreed to before making the purchase.  Line 1 of the the T&Cs state: "Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts..."  Additionally, the T&Cs clearly state we do not accept handwritten invoices in an attempt to avoid fraud:  "Any handwritten information on records, receipts or repair orders, pertaining to or documenting required maintenance are not acceptable."  These are not NEW engines and therefore the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty are as such and a universal standard in the Used Parts industry.  We have done no wrong doing and ask this complaint be removed on the grounds of false accusations and slander.

Mr. [redacted] had ordered an engine from us on November 19, 2014 and it was sent out to him in a timely manner.He had called us on December 15,2014 to complain that the intake manifold was cracked. We unfortunately do not sell intake manifolds, they are just left on for convenience purposes. We...

only sell engines,and the definition of an engine is a block, head and internal parts.The intake manifold however is bolted on to the  top of the engine and is not covered under warranty. What good mechanics normally do is switch over all the original bolt on items from the old engine on to the new engine. That is how you do the engine installation job properly and you will never have problems doing it that way.

Actually it will never be satisfactory.  I am not a liar but in this case with written reasons will stop..We give up there is nothing that can be done with this business but to warn others about them!
This is absolutely not true.  My wife only asked questions and you never gave her answers.  You are not a good business to deal with and I hope anyone that sees all of these messages read into it the true meaning of staying away from a business that operates on lies.

You people have it recorded please feel free to disclose anything you wish.  I don't care you are wicked liars who won't even give me the mileage on the engine in my car why are you hiding that fact?  I called your representative an it yes I did.  After being hung up on numerous time or being sent to a full mailbox I finally got some one who said this to me after I said why won't the labor cost be paid?  He said, "I'm surprised to see that he did you that way."  I said, "Who are you talking about the auto repairman who put the motor in the car?  You are surprised that he would charge a labor fee for putting a motor in the car?  He then said to me, "yes, I'm surprised he would do you that way."  I then said, " You are and it!"  You think the repairman should have replaced the motor for free?"  "You're an it!"  I also said "i'm glad it is recorded because you people are unbelievable!"  That is the type business you are!  You sell a piece of junk and then replace it with a piece of junk ...pretend not to be able to hear me on the phone when I ask any questions and then act as if all is well. I am closing this out because you are hopeless...I will spread the word believe me and hopefully whomever reads my websites...I have many will stay clear of you unscrupulous business.

The response by Quality Used Transmission is untrue.
 I did not call to report the torque converter was missing- the complete transmission was delivered in a little more than a week to my local Selma Honda Service Center. I called Quality to report that the transmission failed during the Honda mechanic's test drive as stated in my original claim. Quality offered no apology for the defective trans but did grudgingly offer to send a replacement when I was finally able to contact the Warranty rep (who seldom answered his phone and failed to return any of my many calls). I had already been without the car for ten days so opted to request a refund and buy a warranted transmission from the Honda shop to expedite the istallation. The warranty rep then stated that I would receive the refund as soon as they received the defective transmission.
When the shipper arrived at Honda, he refused to accept the trans. because it was not adequately mounted on the palate and refused to wait while the Honda parts shop secured it. Honda spent a significant amount of time and effort remounting the part and rescheduled the pickup which finally occurred a few days later (mid to late May). I heard nothing from Quality throughout this ordeal and again was unable to contact the warranty department.
I finally received the attached email yesterday, 1 July stating that they had credited my credit card account for the $1500 purchase price. THERE HAS BEEN NO REFUND ISSUED TO MY ACCOUNT.
The statement by Quality that I failed to register the warranty and furnish a photo of my odometer is correct. I was unable to do so because Quality requires that the installation be completed prior to registering. The installation was never completed= the transmission failed during the test drive. The Warranty Manager at Quality also stated that the warranty was not in effect because the car had not been driven for two weeks after the installation! All the nonsense about broken lines, filters, improper installation is ridiculous- this installation was completed by a certified Honda dealer and Quality knew that from the beginning- they shipped the part to Honda.

Used Engine Warranty
A Satisfied Customer is our Number 1 Goal
The engine warranty covers block, heads, and all internals. Bolt-on accessories, wiring and sensors are not warranted.
We are not responsible for improper installation and or labor charges.
Warranty will void if the part is used for racing, operated without proper fluids, or a melted heat tab.
New thermostat and timing belt (if applicable) must be installed.
All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and restocking fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs.
In the event that the buyer defaults in the terms of payment, the buyer agrees to reimburse SWE for all costs and attorney fees it incurs in collection action.
Mis-ordered or mis- diagnosed parts are non-refundable.
We do not assume towing, shipping, transportation, and car rental cost.
Usual delivery time is about 7-14 working days but due to some unusual circumstances please allow additional time.
All residential deliveries incur a $75 shipping charge, unless agreed to otherwise.
Extended warranty will be activated upon notification of installation of part.
Engine or transmission must be installed within 30 days of delivery OR ALL WARRANTIES WILL VOIDED.
Exchanges or Store credits only after the part has been in customer posession for more than 30 days.
Although SWE makes every effort to make the part look as nice as possible before it ships no warranty or guarantee is made towards the appearance of that part.
Make sure to inspect all parts before signing for them on delivery.
The stated mileage is not guaranteed and is correct to the best of our knowledge.
We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non replaced seals, gaskets or filters.
Transmission cooler lines must be flushed or warranty will be void.
OEM auto parts are interchangeable with multiple years, makes and models which means the same part is an exact fit for multiple makes and models as determined by OEM standards. We guarantee the part we sell to fit your vehicle.
All deposits are non-refundable.
Any engine and transmission returned not in the same assembled condition as it was received will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Transmission external sensors and switches are not covered by warranty.
Transmissions are tested, visually inspected and cleaned.
Standard engine warranty is 180 day parts only. Standard transmission warranty is 90 day parts only.

 I wasn't belligerent. Not sure you remember me even calling as you probably had several unhappy customers. I had it professionally installed by a licensed mechanic and have the records to prove it. It started leaking shortly after driving it. 
Everything was installed properly. I can assure you on this. I have documents. I guess the GA will handle this now. It's really sad what has become of my hard earned money.

The company accepted that the first engine despatched and received on 9/9/15 was defective. The defective engine was replaced by the company on 9/30/15 and thus the labor included as part of the sale agreement is due by the company to me for the amount of $2150. This was accepted by company's customer service representative -[redacted] and [redacted] and I was told that the company will re-imburse upon installation and completion of 500 miles after installation of the second replacement engine. Please own up else face consequences. Do not cheat as the company is trying to do.

The complainant is requesting a refund due to time frame of product being shipped out. The complainant ordered their engine on 7.14.16 and called to raise issues on 7.25.16 as it hadn't shipped yet. The complainant disuputed the charges with their credit card company. Per our Free Warranty Terms...

The complainant originally paid $1015 and got a refund of $761.25 due to the restocking fee as the disput the complainant filed with their credit card in the end, was deemed to be in our favor. In the end the complainant got his refund minus restocking fees due to canceled order.Please let us know if there is anything further we can do to assist in resolving this claim.

I understood the T&Cs of Quality Used Engines’ stated engine warranty: “Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts, such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, brackets, flywheel etc.” I did not attempt to claim a warranty issue, but rather a misrepresented product being supplied. I expected a complete, usable engine as Quality Used Engines clearly stated on its quote: “This engine comes COMPLETE less alternator, starter, power steering pump, AC compressor and turbo.” This statement is also on its website under Frequently Asked Questions: “What comes with my engine? Engines come complete, minus the AC Compressor, Starter, Alternator, and Power Steering Pump. All other parts left on the engines are for convenience purposes only.” There was never any indication that a component or accessory supplied with the engine could be defective, damaged, or otherwise unusable. Therefore, I had a reasonable expectation the engine would be as promised, or else I would not have purchased it.   Engine Shopper’s response states: “We were not supplied with any information or paperwork from the installation shop that the manifold was allegedly damaged.” This is not true. Before any work commenced, information about the damage was furnished via telephone calls and Emails with pictures to [redacted] [redacted], Customer Service at Quality Used Engines, all of which ended in their unwillingness to consider any resolution. After their discourteous treatment of our interactions with them, we realized we would need to take different steps. Needless to say, their stated company goals are completely false and worthless: ·         “Our company was founded to help customers like you find high quality, great priced, low mileage engines, with a simple quote or call. ·         “…our staff works diligently to hand pick a quality used engine…” ·         “At QualityUsedEngines.com, customer satisfaction always comes first.”   Since I was unable to resolve the situation with Quality Used Engines, I also submitted a charge dispute with my credit card company, which is investigating the matter.
