Yes, SW Engines sells this engine on a daily biases, says its the same engine and that it will connect all the same way. Sounds great to the average everyday Joe who doesn't know any better, who's never done this before. But that does not dismiss the fact, that SW Engines sent me the wrong engine. How could I, have so many discrepancies? If  the wrong engine and the wrong year of engine, wasn't sent to me by mistake???? Good or bad the customer is always right. A 4.9 or a 300-in-line 6 cylinder has had the same bore and stroke engine size for what, the last 50 years? Ford has made multiple changes in connections, sensors, emissions, and where they connect in that amount of time. SW engines sent me the wrong engine, from what they quoted and said they would send me. So anyone from SWE want to tell me, my shipping papers, my quote are incorrect and I paid good money for what? They told me they can't find a copy of either.  I have both.
Indeed the wire harness needed to be changed, there are two (2) oxygen sensors and a crank sensor on my original 1996 engine. There is no connection area, for any of these sensors to connect to on the 1992? engine, I received from SW Engines and there is an air temp sensor, at the end of the intake manifold, on the 1992? SW Engines engine and not on my original 1996 engine.
Now I really don't see how, having three (3) of my original sensors, not being hook up (that's not going to kick on the engine light) and I do not have a extra sensor connection hooking up for the one (1) sensor on the SWE,  on my wire harness. Luckily I found a 1992 F-150 Explorer XLT with a 4.9 that I was able, to remove the wire harness and the vacuum lines, but. I had five (5) fifty mile (50) trips, to a lot of junk yards, to find this much, plus the sixty five dollars ($65.00), I paid for the wire harness and vacuum lines.
On my original 1996 4.9 engine, from the air pump, there were two (2) rubber hoses, one (1) went to the tube on the Y-pipe the other went to the top of the engine and connected to the tube that comes out of the head. I have my air pump and Y-pipe but, there is no tube, connecting to the head, on the SWE engine, to connect the other rubber hose too. (Where's it go????) My original EGR tube is about two and a half inches (2 1/2") short of making the connection. The EGR tube I need is ninety five dollars ($95.00), my original 1996 EGR tube  is too short.
Look I will drop this all if SW Engines will send me  the correct engine. if SWE sells so many of these 4.9's, how come they sent me the wrong one and then tried to cover up saying they don't have copies of the quote or the packaging slip? The day I ordered the engine, such a big deal was made out of where the air intake hooked up I had to hang up, go check it out and make sure, then call back before the man would order it. This is so easy. They made a mistake. Let the correct it.\

Like we had stated we are in the used parts business, the that is in the illustration listed on ebay is a re-manufactured head. If he wants to use a new or re-manufactured head he is more than welcome, but we will not cover it because we do not deal in new or re-manned parts. We only deal in the used parts business.

I am writing in response to your letter regarding a Ms. [redacted]. She had purchased an engine from us back on June 30, 2014 for a 2002 Mazda 626 and it was sent to her in a timely manner. She had called us on October 29,...

2014 to report that she had blown a head gasket on the engine and that she was going to take it to a shop and get it checked out. On December 16, 2014 she had called to us to report that the shop came to a conclusion and it definitely was the head gasket, we had told her we do not cover head gaskets, and was not  eligible for the parts and labor guarantee because it was never activated however we would still exchange the engine for her, we have not heard back from her since that call.

I will not accept anything except the full refund. They did not have it and kept saying they would send me a tracking number when they ship it.

I would invite them to send the recording as they have completely fabricated a lie.  They of course will not be able to provide that recording as it never happened or will come up with some sort of excuse.
As I stated, I called them for a status of the order and had left a message asking for an update on the engine dleivery.  I am very confident that they never shipped the engine since the person (Bill) I spoke with on my 2nd call (since they never called me back) ask if I wanted to re-order the engine.  Why would I have canceled and why did they ask if I would like to reorder the engine if I just wanted an update??  Again, and I am very sure, they never held up there end of the agreement and shipped the order in the 1st place even though they were very quick to charge me for the engine that they never provided.
Also, unlike them,  I can provide all the details on when the engine was ordered (5/8/15)   SW engines emailed me indicating delivery would be NLT 5/28/15.  I called to check on the status of the delivery on 6/1/15 allowing extra time because of memorial day (trying to give them the benefit of the doubt).  Why would I call on this date to cancel an order that was promised on 5/28?  Again, I can prove this with their email.  There (so-called) phone log would show that is the date (far past the due date of delivery?)    So, for a fact, when the so-called manager (Bill) told me the order was canceled I asked for his supervisor so I could speak with someone else, and that is when Bill told me to [redacted] and hung up on me.
SW engines has numerous complaints posted all over the internet.  I wish I would have checked them out before ordering.  It is my hope that this complaint will prevent others from being ripped off.
To make matters worse, now SW engines claims that I swore at them, and that is slander and defamation of character!!  What legal course of action can I take in the courts to get justice?
Regards,
Chuck [redacted]

The check was sent out on 5.23.16.  We are not sure why this has been posted on the Revdex.com and request this bogus complaint be removed.

I talked with my mechanic at Custom Auto Body & Repair today and he said they had to use some parts from one of the SW Transmissions to rebuild my original transmission.
He has to get the core from the rebuild shop and will be sending it to SW as soon as he can. My truck was broke down most of last winter because SW sent me 2 bad transmissions.
SW advertises a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty for parts and labor. They will be getting back their 2nd bad transmission soon and I expect to be refunded my $1015

In your reply you said that you record all phone conversations. It is against the law(Federal) to record anyone without there consent. No you didn't have my consent. You also stated that the Engine in question was fine and that you sold it to another customer. If you sold it to another customer could you please give me the customers name and address and I also would like to have yours which you fail to mention. By your own admittance, the Engine was returned to you in good working order. Which means you owe me 4995 dollars for it. Your pervious message said that you refunded my account a couple weeks ago. I have attached my September and October statement proving that you did not. I guess I can say you lied again.  How can anyone believe you when you have an F rating with Revdex.com and have had 218 complaints in three years. You also have used 10 different Business Names, why?
I would like to be paid by check and not have you keep another 7%.
Thanks

I really wish I could help her out, but we have rules and guidelines that we have to abide by.

The invoice number of my order to SWengines is invoice # [redacted]
I have also sent some pictures of the engine its self... the first picture that I have uploaded is the actual listing of the engine and what I was led to believe that I would be receiving. The other pictures that I sent to you...

is the actual image that I received.
thanks

As I explained to Alex, I was specifically told by the shipping carrier that signing the receipt was simply an acknowledgement that I received the engine, never was I told by anyone that I needed to indicate what was wrong with it right there and then or nothing would be covered. I feel this is an unfair situation and warrants an exception to be made.

The complainant is requesting a full refund due to length of time it took for engine to be shipped out. Shipping normally is 7-14 business days but it does take time to clean, test, and prep an engine for shipment. The complainant ordered the engine on 8/15/16 and the engine was shipped out on 9/1....

This is 13 business days from order to shipment day. We state "Typical shipping time usually takes between 7-14 business days, but could be a little longer due to unusual circumstances (such as weather, volume, etc.)" http://www.qualityusedengines.com/faq.html. Currently engine is out for shipment and will be delivered to the complainant. the complainant should receive the engine he ordered in a timely fashion and that should resolve any issues the complainant has with this purchase or our company.

We are not a fraudulent company. We did not ship the engine because Mr. [redacted] was constantly calling and threating to do a chargeback on his credit card, and that is what he has done, and now has all of his money back.

Mr. [redacted] had purchased a good used running  3.9 engine for a Dodge Van way back in February. He is calling us now all of a sudden out of blue to report that the engine looks worn out? His mechanic has completely disassembled the engine and removed the rod and bearing caps,  which...

first of all voids all warranties per terms and conditions form that he had agreed to. If he would have wanyed to exchange the engine before he disassembled it we would have done so, all he would of had to do is call us and then we would have exchanged it right away.

When the complainant called in we asked to be sent a diagnostic report as required in all warranty claims.  The complainant refused and become expressively volatile with the Representative. At this point, the Representative supplied the fax number for which the complainant could send the...

diagnostic report as required.  We cannot process a claim based off what a customer is telling us and need actual proof such as a diagnostic report.  If the complainant decides to take legal action we will certainly respond with the information given here accordingly.  We regret the complainant was not willing to work with us and provide the documentation required in all claims.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
First, the business did not address the issue as outlined in the complaint.  They appeared to imply that the mileage was added afterwards.  Then they stated their 30 day policy which doesn't apply if they represent a 56,000 mile engine but sold me a 179, 890 mile engine.  They stated the engine had 56,000 miles when they sold it to me. The engine has a Vehicle Identification Number affixed to it by law.   I asked them on three occasions what the mileage was or verification of mileage.  I trusted them to be honest brokers of their product.  They misrepresented the engine as having only 56,000 miles when in fact the CarFax report with that engine VIN number shows it having 179,890 miles when they sold it to me.  This is misrepresenting the vehicle miles by over 124,000 miles.  My Vin on my vehicle is not the same as the engine they sold so their attempt to state thye miles may be mine after install is baseless and without merit.
Second,  I have emailed them on multiple occasions, I have email records to prove this.  I'm not aware of anyway knowing that they misrepresented the actual miles on the engine they sold without having another company perform a CarFax report.  This happened by pure coincidence since Engine and Transmission World proclaimed to be a honest dealer and that can be trusted to stand by their claims and product.  In this case, they clearly misrepresented as can be seen by their attached email (Re_Re_EAT...7633B-.pdf) representing 56,000 miles when I inquired and again when I purchased the warranty for a 56,000 mile engine.
Third,  I have attached the CarFax for the engine they sold me and the CarFax (Engine CarFax.pdf) for the vehicle I own (Xterra CarFax.pdf) and it was installed in.  The VINs are different and the histories are different.  It would appear that Engine and Transmission World is suggesting that the engine is different than the one they sold, yet if I had to have warranty work, that's exactly the number they would have to use.
Bottom line is that they lied and misrepresented the engine as a low mileage engine at 56,000 miles and when it was checked during routine maintenance, it was discovered that it had over 179,890 miles when they sold it to me.  That is a fact and can't be denied by the documentation I have provided.  If they offer no remedy, then I ask the Revdex.com to hold this complaint as substantiated and business would not offer a remedy.
