As the customer has stated in the complaint,  the engine was ordered on 6-9-2015.  The customer did not install until October therefore voiding the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty which clearly states: "Warranty must be activated within 10 business days of...

delivery OR ALL WARRANTIES WILL VOIDED. Falsifying information will automatically void your warranty."  This can be viewed by visiting http://www.swengines.com/warranty.php.  The Terms and Conditions must be agreed upon before ordering and are clearly stated on the site as well as during the purchase process.  We cannot possibly know what condition the engine was stored in for more than 4 months and this is why we have this conditions as any engine improperly stored for a short amount of time can be damaged from the elements or mishandling.  Furthermore, the customer called in on 10-22-2015 and Activated the warranty on 11/4 and proceeded to attempt to make a claim the same day.  Unfortunately, the customer did not read or understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty when attempting to do so.  We encourage all potential buyers to read and understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty before making a purchase.

Mr [redacted] had sent us back an emty transmission shell which is not even ours, he kept our good trans and is driving his vehicle. He is not due a refund becuase he returned a part that was not in the smae condition that it was sent to him, he knew that because it states that on the terms and conditions form that he had signed and agreed to.

The response is exactly what [redacted] (warranty person) should have told me when I contacted him on 3/19/15 asking for an extension.  Instead he told me "oh, just activate the warranty after you get it installed", as if it would not be a problem and he knew when he told me this that I would not be able to activate the warranty after the 10 day period.  As I stated before, the engine was installed by the deadline 03/27/15 by the Fast Eddies.  I tried to activate the warranty the next morning because I had the understanding from [redacted] that it would not be a problem to activate the warranty after the 10 day period which he knew was untrue. The engine was installed within the 10 day period.

If Mr. [redacted] does not like the engine because of the timing cover and spark plugs which are just items that bolt on to the engine, then it is his responsibilty to just make it available for pick up an we will pick it up and refund him.

Used Engine Warranty
A Satisfied Customer is our Number 1 Goal
The engine warranty covers block, heads, and all internals. Bolt-on accessories, wiring and sensors are not warranted.
We are not responsible for improper installation and or labor charges.
Warranty will void if the part is used for racing, operated without proper fluids, or a melted heat tab.
New thermostat and timing belt (if applicable) must be installed.
All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and restocking fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs.
In the event that the buyer defaults in the terms of payment, the buyer agrees to reimburse SWE for all costs and attorney fees it incurs in collection action.
Mis-ordered or mis- diagnosed parts are non-refundable.
We do not assume towing, shipping, transportation, and car rental cost.
Usual delivery time is about 7-14 working days but due to some unusual circumstances please allow additional time.
All residential deliveries incur a $75 shipping charge, unless agreed to otherwise.
Extended warranty will be activated upon notification of installation of part.
Engine or transmission must be installed within 30 days of delivery OR ALL WARRANTIES WILL VOIDED.
Exchanges or Store credits only after the part has been in customer posession for more than 30 days.
Although SWE makes every effort to make the part look as nice as possible before it ships no warranty or guarantee is made towards the appearance of that part.
Make sure to inspect all parts before signing for them on delivery.
The stated mileage is not guaranteed and is correct to the best of our knowledge.
We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non replaced seals, gaskets or filters.
Transmission cooler lines must be flushed or warranty will be void.
OEM auto parts are interchangeable with multiple years, makes and models which means the same part is an exact fit for multiple makes and models as determined by OEM standards. We guarantee the part we sell to fit your vehicle.
All deposits are non-refundable.
Any engine and transmission returned not in the same assembled condition as it was received will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Transmission external sensors and switches are not covered by warranty.
Transmissions are tested, visually inspected and cleaned.

We sent them a replacement engine . There oil change receipts were hand written and were not accepted by the  warranty company it states that right on the list of warranty stipulations.

We really wish that we could do something for Mr. [redacted], but we do not sell intake manifolds, we also can not get intake manifolds. He had also agreed to a terms and conditions form that states we do not cover the items that bolt on to the engine. If Mr. [redacted] does not want the engine, he can send it back and we will give him a refund.

Mr. [redacted] had ordered a 7.3 diesel engine from us back on November 24,2014 for a 1991 Ford Van. On January 14,2015 Mr. [redacted] had called to complain that the engine was different and the oil cooler was different. It actually was a truck engine and you do have to make a few small...

modifications just like any other installation.  Since we do not cover bolt on items or accessories we unfortunately could not do nothing for him. He had switched oil coolers and is now driving the vehicle.

There was a picture of an engine on a palette when I purchased the item and then I was told that it takes time to pull the engine out of a vehicle and personnel need to be paid for that, hence the 25% restocking fee. So which on is it? Was the engine pictured on a palette in a warehouse or was it in a vehicle? The engine never shipped, plain and simple. I cancelled the order because of poor customer service and shady dealings. If this business is so upstanding why does it have a Revdex.com rating of F?

There is/was no contract between [redacted] and Engine And Transmission World, aka Engine Shopper, Inc. Engine And Transmission World had no agreement/authority to charge my account.

I paid $1090.00 for an engine with 69000 miles on it. My mechanic show me different engines on how it should looks,  and like you see in the pictures,  this engine have more than 200000 miles on it. It's painted Grey so it looks clean.  My engine is in the picture s MN d have aver 200000 miles. So from the $1090.00 + free shipping like receipt said, he just want to give me back $300.00. I asked the sales man, that is also the manager and owner if he know about mechanics, and he said NO. You can ask a mechanic about how many miles the engine have just by the way it looks like and move. If he got tricked by someone about this engine,  he's not supposed to do it to me. He have a bad rating with lots of customers.  This business should be investigated.

Since Engine Shopper/Got Engines/SW Engines (they have changed names so many times) claims to only deal in used parts….send me a used replacement set of functional rocker arms with working adjustment nuts and screws for a 1995 Honda Accord EX 2.2 Liter VTEC 4 cylinder engine.  8 intake and 8 exhaust rocker arms make up a complete set.
 
Live up to your mission statement claims:  ”The entire engine is closely inspected. And that’s the value of getting a certified used engine. We insure that the parts used in each engine are exactly what you are paying for—no worries about excessive deterioration and undue wear and tear on engine components.” And ”The entire engine is closely inspected.”
 
Live up to your warranty list of engine components covered that include rocker arms and stop making excuses.
 
You said in your last message you won't cover another head assembly installed on this engine but Engine Shopper/Got Engines/SW Engines has covered nothing in this claim at all so far.

Stop lying no one told you that you that you will not be charged. What makes you so special that we would change our policy for you? We did everything according to the terms and conditions that you agreed to before you paid. Take responsibility for your actions.

The claimed that I should have received a confirmation after submitting my activation information, but I never did. As far as paying extra money for the warranty, technically there was not a separate costs for the warranty, but I paid a good deal of money for the engine because of the warranty. I actually could have purchased an engine here in Maryland for several hundred dollars less without a warranty, but I wanted the insurance just in case of engine failure. Now , according to SW engines I do not have anything.

Mr [redacted] had ordered an electrical assist motor for a 2007 Honda Civic back on April 14, 2015 and we had pulled it out of a vehicle for Mr. [redacted] with in reasonable time. We had called his mechanic to verify if he needed the electrical assist motor or if he needed the actual gasoline...

engine. because the electrical assist motors never go out and we have never sold one of those. We had gave him the price for the gasoline engine the was about a 460 dollar price difference. He refused to believe that, as we explained it to him over and over again. Mr. [redacted] could not comprehend what we were trying to tell him, he just kept going on and on very aggresivlely trying to talk over us and insisting that he was right, threatening us,  and using profanities, and twisting everything around and saying that he was the victim.
