Expedia.com Reviews (2925)

On 9/2/17 Expedia posted a price of $189 for a hotel and when I tried to book it I was redirected to a price of $261. I called and two agents both gave me double talk and would not honor the price posted on their site. One agent kept asking me if I was reading it right because he was searching it and did not come up with that hotel and price. I even offered to email him the screen shot I had taken but would not accept it as proof. Expedia is a scam to draw you in with a cheaper price and then say that price is no longer available, even though it is clearly still listed on their site so you pay a much higher price. The Revdex.com (Revdex.com) will not post my complaint because I didn't book with Expedia so I didn't have an itinerary # or an email associated with a booking. I tried to explain to the Revdex.com that of course there is no itinerary or email I did not book because they would not honor their listed price. The Revdex.com has become a scam just like business' like Expedia. No longer reliable for consumers. Shame on you Revdex.com.

Has to be the worst service ever. I booked a flight and then cancelled it in 10 minutes because expedia populated the information automatically which was wrong. I had to then rebook it even aftyer cancellation insurance they never gave the money back. They then told me they never took it even though I received a confirmation for the refund they took. Total thieves!!!

I booked a flight through Expedia and decided out of precaution to buy the travel cancellation plan. Low and behold, I wasn't able to make the flight and cancelled the flight online. I received the following message:
"Airline credits TYPICALLY must be used within one year from the original ticket booking date. Call us at 1-877-261-3523 to use your credits to book a new flight."
I called to book a new flight and was told they would not apply my credit because I was a week past the time I booked my flight. Why include the language "typically" and not say concretely that it will expire a year from the date you book?
First, they should refund you in full if you buy the cancellation policy.
Second, they should remove the word "typically" if that is not true; not only is it deceitful, but it is a flat out lie.

Terrible, untrustworthy company. We live in the path of Hurricane Irma, so I booked my rooms early. I needed two rooms and would have booked them at the same time, but their website is so terrible that you cannot book one king room and one with two queen beds at the same time. They only let you book the same type of room. So I went ahead and booked the first room and got a confirmation. They expressly stated "We have confirmed your hotel reservation with the property. " Then I booked the second room (with two queen beds) and got a different confirmation number with the same notation. "We have confirmed your hotel reservation with the property." Well, they lied. They never confirmed the second room reservation with the property. I happened to call the hotel to see if we could arrive a day earlier (Expedia's website does not let you change the reservation on line -- they have a button to "Change" and have a tab "manage your reservation" but clicking on either of those just opened an information page.) When I called the hotel, they had no record of the second room reservation. By that time they had no rooms left due to the evacuations. I called Expedia and got someone in the Philippines who was following a script but couldn't do anything to solve the problem. He said he would email the property, which would have been futile. He called the property but they told him the same thing they told me, i.e. that they had no record of the reservation and had no rooms left. I asked for a supervisor and ended up on hold for quite a while. I told the supervisor that I had booked two rooms, Expedia had confirmed two rooms and I still needed two rooms. In the end, I was on the phone for one hour and 56 minutes with no resolution of the problem.

NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE. I was booked into an 'inn' that had no one adult running it. The room was filthy and I had to wait while they cleaned it and replaced the stained comforter and bed sheets. There were multiple other problems as the day went on. The promised "manager' never came to see me. They refused to give me a receipt and directed me to EXPEDIA to get a refund. When I got home, I immediately called EXPEDIA and got some Filipina who read off a script and could have cared less about the scary event I had endured. "I'll have the Inn call you." WTH? I just told you, They didn't have a manager to send me! When I asked to speak to a manager, She did the dodge where they put you on hold indefinitely. I hung up after waiting for 20 minutes. They robo called back immediately and hit the button to leave a message (one ring), thus avoiding me, saying if I called back, I would have to start all over. Clearly, they have set up customer service to avoid helping, and dodge their responsibility.
