will provide the results of our investigation directly to the Consumer. If a bankruptcy was dismissed or withdrawn, it appears on the consumer's personal credit report because every action that relates to credit may become part of the credit history. So even though the court did not allow the filing of the bankruptcy or the bankruptcy did not go through, the fact that the case was documented allows it to appear on the personal credit report.According to the Fair CreditReporting Act (FCRA), Section 605 (d) (1), if a bankruptcy is withdrawn before a final judgment "the consumer reporting agency shall include in the report that such case was Withdrawn".The bankruptcy dismissed/withdrawn status will remain on the consumer's Experian credit report for seven years from the filing date.Experian strives to achieve a high level of customer service for all the consumers they assist.
