Dear Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I’m rejecting this response because the Experian representative
didn’t seem to understand the reason for my complaint. It’s almost as if the complaint was not read.
What I am specifically asking Experian for is:
To provide me with the correct mailing address so I can mail in
the specific dispute request package
To put the correct mailing address on their website for all
consumers, instead of a post office box that does not exist according to the
United States Post Office
I followed the directions on the Experian website explaining how to
dispute by mail precisely, and included all the documentation requested on
their website, including the specific reasons why I feel the information is inaccurate. I mailed the package to the address shown on
the Experian website for sending disputes by mail.
The point of my original complaint is that the address shown on
the Experian website is incorrect, and my mailed package came back to marked "return
to sender - box closed - unable to forward”.
I triple checked the address on the Experian website, and visited my local post office where they confirmed the P.Obox was closed. It was and is the same address shown on their
page: https://www.experian.com/disputes/experian-mailing-address.html:
Experian's mailing address for
dispute requests is:
P.OBox
Allen, TX
When I visit online forums and I can see that other people have
had the same experience with this incorrect mailing address. The going theory seems to be that Experian
intentionally furnishes an incorrect address because they prefer that you use their
online dispute system. The reasons I want
to dispute by mail is on the advice of my attorney, and because the Federal
Trade Commission suggests it on their website under the “Disputing Errors on
Credit Reports” section.
Thank you,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action has not yet resolved my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My specific concern is not just the credit report - it is my ability to obtain my actual credit score from Experian in a way that is reasonable in the age of computers. Operating via mail is no longer a reasonable and consumer friendly way to operate and appears to be an attempt on the part of Experian to make it as difficult as possible for consumers to obtain information they have a right, per federal law, to receive. I have made two attempts to contact Mike with Experian, once last week and another attempt today. I did not receive a call back from my attempt last week and am waiting on a call back from my call today. As of this time, this issue has not been resolved
