I was advised to use lending tree to get a start on obtaining mortgage information to my surprise quicken loans contacted me moments after I visited the websiteI spoke to the representative who verified my information shortly after I advised him that I did not want to have my credit pulled because I am not looking to make a purchase within the coming month(s) and simply wanted some information on their company & he then went on to say "oh it's too late" he very unprofessionally stated "well why can't you buy the house soon" I mentioned finances & I knew it wouldn't be possible on my end & I am aware of the consequences of hard credit inquiresHe then had me speak to his manager who apologized for his employees actions & said he should have mentioned it to me before he actually went & pulled my creditI was then told that a higher up would contact me within hours which he did I told him my concern & by this time I had noticed my fico score dropped substantially (33pts) I told him I was not interested in doing business with a company who is not upfront with their procedures and their customers and I was told that it was not in their policy to advise me when they were going to pull my creditI have been dealing with credit for quite some time & have dealt with these types of companies & I have never had my credit pulled without a fair warningI am disappointed in this company, I am disgusted in how their employees address their customers very condescending & unprofessional
Quicken made everything incredibly easy, professional, and the closing /title company we used in Maine praised themVery good experience and would certainly do it againEntire process from the day we put an offer in until we closed was less than weeks!
The contact persons were patient and informativeReady to explain each step in the process and willing to help anytimeAll of the process's documents were accessible via internet or just a few minutes via phone contactI felt involve in the process from the first and through to the closingProfessionalism didn't hinder communication and understanding
