Although the two young men I worked with were always there when I needed help , I felt the process was way to drawn out very nerve wracking because they would always comeback wanting some else in stead of listing it all at once
My husband and I needed a loan to purchase a house in late JanuaryWe talked to Quicken Loans and were given pre-approval and then a full loan estimate sent with an approval letter within two daysMy husband has an unusual work schedule, and only works every-other week (hours/days)Because of this schedule, he is consistently paid overtime pay which results in half of his paycheck or more each pay periodWe informed Quicken of this in the very beginning of the process and they assured us we had the loan
Over the next month, we submitted all of the forms Quicken needed, and continued to work toward closing on the houseWe paid earnest money, due diligence, had the inspections and appraisalWe were getting extremely excited as the closing date came closer and closer
However, three days before closing-- on a Friday, Quicken called to inform us that my husband could not use his over-time pay as part of his income because he had not yet been working at his place of employment for a year (only months)The underwriter was looking at the loan for the first time and saying we weren't approved, despite the fact we'd previously been told we wereThis meant that we were $short each month on our paymentsWe worked with our home insurance to get this number down to $However, Quicken would not grant us the loan without a co-signer or coming up with $of income that wasn't from my husband's overtime (which was an extra $1,a month)
We ended up losing the house, the earnest money, due diligence, and the money from inspections/the appraisalWe talked to banks, other loan agencies, and other real-estate agents and the fact that you can't use overtime unless you've had it consistently for a year seems to be pretty common knowledgeQuicken should have had an underwriter look at the loan long before days before closing, or better yet let us know that the overtime pay did not count toward our income
We ended up losing the house and all of the money up until that point due to this error on Quicken's partI gave a two star review because the last person from Quicken we were in contact with was beneficial and tried to help us resolve the issue as much as he could-- however, it was too late at that point
As a 1st time home buyer I used Quicken Loans for a VA Loan and was initially approved for much more than I really neededI worked with Youssef for the 1st part of the loan and he was fantastic helping with all the initial upfront work and getting use to using the online tools neededHe would always check in from time to time to see how the searching was going and if there was anything he could help us with, even gave us his cell # for any questionsOnce we choose the house and the paperwork started we began working with Brian and he was also great to work withAll the different documents and little items that needed to be accomplished he was there to help and the online tool made things easier alsoWe were able to close without any issues from the Quicken team, our only hiccup was between the title companies but I asked Quicken about it and they jumped right in and straighten the issue out right awayHighly recommend them and if I ever buy again will use them
I used Quicken Loan to purchase my home and to do a refinance I was looking to purchase another home with my sister and because I used QL before there were no concerns in reaching out to QL for options However, this time the rep ran my credit report when I specifically told her that I would wait on that until I spoke with my sister Unknowingly she had already ran my credit report when she "verified" me on the phone; I thought she was verifying me as a customerI already know my credit report and in fact I told her what my credit score was since I monitor and verify it weekly with a credit monitoring company I called with concerns about this and right away they tell me that she informed me when she didn't, but they won't let me listen to the call and instead tell me what I said I reported it and escalated the concern about the misleading information and questions the rep Ashley asked; however, Bianca "resolution specialist" and Dylan "team leader" were very dismissive and telling me that is "the position of QL" and that nothing else will be done and stating that they are the highest level I can take this concern to I did not think that QL would be so unethical and deceptive in practice and unwilling to listen to concerns but after reading similar comments I now know they do this to other people as well As a current customer, plus referring two friends to QL that used them to purchase their homes, I expected them to listen to actually listen and find a resolution Won't use or refer this company again!
Quicken gets the job doneThey are aggressive and thorough to help you jump through all the hoops necessary in getting a loan or refiThey are in constant communication with you and all of your questions or concerns are promptly addressed until the loan is closed
Like a boiler room That is the impression and feeling I am left with after being had by a Quicken loam repFrom the very start there was pressure to move the loan forward by completing e-documents that were not detailed Then pressure to complete the assessment by paying up front 1% of the loam amount He would seem so polite and encouraging, but never once did he say the money paid for assessment was non refundable if you decided not to go with Quicken I paid $on a Friday, and Monday morning my money was gone with no services rendered I changed my mind after seeing the numbers continue to change from what was agreed upon including closing costs As a veteran I feel I did not have a fighting chance against these people They demand a high degree of honesty documented by me, but they are practiced liars themselves
Everyone we worked with was very responsive Loved communicating online at the convenience of my schedule Anyone from quicken did not hesitate to pick up the phone Can tell they focus on the borrower Was a good experience Personalized with knowledgeable peopleWe were informed throughout entire process
Was treated horribly by their customer service on several occasionsThey harass you with sales calls and do nothing but lie to you and makes empty promisesThen when you don't hear back about they don't do what they say they will do, they ignore calls and speak to you very rudely when you finally do get someone on phoneGot treated with nothing but a bad attitude and lies! Completely lacks follow through
Great experience overall but my loan did almost fall through due to them not catching an accounting errorExcellent customer service! Love the website for uploading documents & communicating! Only draw back: every phase of the loan gets passed on to a different person..beware of errors
Very easy and friendly to deal withAsk for Kelli Thornberry, she’s a terrific agent and everyone down the with customer service and the online message boardI would highly recommend Quicken/Rocket to friends and family
