The overall experience was greatThe people we worked with were knowledgeable and helpfulMy only complaint is that after the close we found out that evidently there was an error in calculating the payoff of our existing loan and we had to come up with the difference It wasn't enough to hurt us but it was unexpected and we weren't prepared

We had a pleasant experience with our loan process However, it did take approxthree months from start to finish, which some of that was due to a slow appraisal, so it was not Quickens fault The only other thing that would slow it down would be the part that I would fax in what loans I would want paid, and they kept showing just what came up on our credit report I was wanting to pay off more than what showed, and not pay a couple that were showing (school loans that my son pays), so it got kind of long trying to get it right, but we/they finally did and it went well from there outIf you live in a rural area, like we do, scheduling a closing can get postponed a few times alsoBut all in all, they seem to be a great company who helped us out when we needed them
Our experience with Quicken was mostly positiveWe put in an offer on our new home May 5, and closed June 10, Everything was great up until weeks before closing when the person handling our loan decided to take vacation time leaving us to deal with no less than different people, all of whom did not have any idea as to what was going on with our loanIt was at this time that we were sent documents that were incorrect and items were requested from us that had already been submittedThis caused things to be very frustratingQuicken could definitely work on the customer service and inter-office communication aspects of their businessHowever, due to a lot of hard work (and staying on top of Quicken) by us and our realtor we were able to close within days

I would highly recommend Quicken Loans if you are looking for a mortgage or are wanting to refinance I contacted Quicken Loans to refinance my mortgage for a lower interest rate I called them in February and everything was done and finalized by mid March, first one that I have done that moved so quickly
Everyone that I spoke to at Quicken Loans were very friendly and very helpful, they made the whole process enjoyable, most companies can make it frustrating
I also have to take a moment to brag about their website All the paperwork and the majority of the messages were done through the MyQL website, which was so easy to use I think I only had to print or pages, and it was so easy to upload the documents through the site I cannot say enough about their website
Quicken Loans has definitely done everything right! I look forward to having my mortgage with them, which seems odd to say about a long term debt

During the last months, I have completed mortgages with Quicken Two for my elderly Uncle and a refinance for myself One loan was in California and the other two in Virginia During the entire process for all, I was always able to reach "the team" so questions were answered promptly Because of the first two, I did a refi on my own home and it was done in less the days Their communication with my Uncle was always respectful even though he has memory loss Thank you for your professional handling of all the mortgages
