I have purchased the new home and we were told by builder to lock the rate as we approaching closer to closing dateI was in the market to search for the home loan with competitive rateI found 2-offer that were attractive and I decided to go with quicken loan as they have a good nameI worked with Calvin Abro during the quoteHe was eager to complete all paper work and "Credit card information"I asked him that why do you need credit card information then I was told that it is for credit report and will later credited to closing costI asked him what deal does not work out then he said that money will be refunded except the credit report fee which is about $25-I agreed with that provided my credit card informationLater deal did not work out as we were still waiting for builder to provide us the closing dateAnyway, I asked him to withdraw my file and refund the amountHe was uncomfortable and mentioned that credit report fee and appraisal fee will be deducted and remaining money will be refunded which is about $Wow!! I was never contacted regarding appraisal and house was not even ready for appraisalI contacted multiple with no proper responseQuicken Loan should teach their loan officer to be honestI would never choose Quicken loan in future and never ever recommend to anyone

All went very well considering that the house we were selling and the house we were buying both involved Quicken! Great communication all the way thru both processes That said, would recommend having a rep in Savannah GA for us to sign remotely on purchase....Had to travel mile roundtrip (in one day, Sep 6) to sign closing docs two days early as we could not attend closing on Sep due to movers packing and loading Sep We weren't moving a couple of blocks or miles away - we were moving miles away!

I recently refinanced with Quicken and have found them to be pretty accommodating without being pushy and willing to work with a reluctant customerI had specific criteria for refinancing and they did a pretty good job of meeting my criteria without showing any frustration with my concerns at different steps and my reluctance to continue when at first my criteria was not met I do think they could do a better job explaining their numbers in a fashion more easily understood by lay people so that there would be less questions by customers like myselfI do believe to get the best rates and terms customers need to ask questions and be prepared to look elsewhere which I was and that helped They get a positive rating from me
