My Experience with Quicken loans was a very fast ride indeedI applied October 31st and I searched for my home early November and I am now living in a beautiful home as of December.In less than minute of clicking submit for a loan application I had a phone call coming throughIn less than a few minutes I was approvedEvery employee I talked to in the month long process was very energetic and quick to return phone callsThis is a plus as well as a negative.At times it became little over bearing as I was constantly being barraged with phone calls throughout the day and pushed to sign documents literally within the time frame of a couple of hours which was followed up by a " if you do not do this within a couple of hours I cannot guarantee you this deal" which I kind of took it as a tad over bearingAt times I had to tell the employess to literally BACK OFF and allow me ample time to review the documents to which you are asking me to sign within MY time frame ask I do work 50+ hours After all I am the customer and I am making a pretty considerable purchaseAgain the employees get pushy and insist that I sign now and we can review laterThat I did not like and I would respond" no , I will review and contact you tomorrow"
Secondly what made me opinion-ate Neutral is that fact that as the closing came nearer I was called with the news that my $dollars due at closing has changedThe Quicken loans employee stated " we were a little off on our calculations and you are actually going to have to bring $to the table"To which I responded " You were a little off?! You were way off target! I will not pay that much more"In the end they lowered my closing to roughly $dollars at closingHowever I was still not too thrilledI believe someone wanted to have a good Christmas
I chose Quicken loans over other companies because of the great interest rate and APRI also went with them because I needed to only pay 1% of the purchase which was at closing In the end that all changed
If you decide to chose Quicken loans be prepared for a very fast ride at a huge investmentThey will aggressively push you to closing and quite possibly turn the table on your closingI am not looking to be little but I am a hardworking man looking to provide a home for my family and when performing the loan application I understand that they are all estimate but when the final loan statement is issued I do not expect a HUGE change
They were great to work with every step of the wayI would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new mortgage or to refinance an existing mortgage

My experience with Quicken Loans was very positive Sean Gray was a very helpful and understanding loan consultant He was always patient with my questions that I had about the refinancing process, always without fail returned my calls whenever I had questions, made the whole transition which at times I felt daunting, due to my work schedule flow so easily Thank You Sean! Very smooth, seamless refi My current lender wanted tons of financial info and fees Quicken was much easier and had a better rate Only lender I have found that doesn't treat the self employed like a leper
Contrary to what Bank of America did to me after Hurricane Irma and its dubious forbearance plan, Quicken Loans did a very good job of providing me with an excellent service (and also a more humane service)In spite of providing a fast and automated service, there is always the human factor involved, making us feel well advised for our specific needOne of the best experiences I have had in the process of applying or refinancing a mortgage
Initially Quicken was greatDevin Wallis kept us informed about everythingAs things proceeded and our contact person changed again and again, I think something was lostWhen it came to the final reading & agreement of the house purchase contract, the monthly mortgage rate was over $more than what we had been toldWe "figured" that the increase was due to the required flood insurance - and yes, it was - but shouldn't someone have TOLD us about the increase and why? I was very annoyed toward the end!
when the refinance started my loan officer was efficient and friendly; the closing agent was also very efficient and friendly The process was completed in the time frame I was first told Overall a great experience

They practice complete bait and switch techniques After giving me a quote for a home loan I was asked to give a $deposit, which I didShortly after my loan estimate jumped $,which I struggled with but agreed to procedeA few weeks later the appraisal on the property came back $8,lower than the purchase price ,and I was told I would need to cover this costI did not have $18,more than I was originally quoted, so I had to back out of the loan and my dream homeI asked Quicken when my deposit would be refunded and was told it went to the cost of the appraisalI explained that I was never told that the deposit was for an appraisal , that the deposit was to ensure I wouldn't shop around with another lender at this pointThey apologized that I was told this but they have a document I signed (in the mountain of documents I signed for this loan) saying the deposit was for an appraisal Stick with a local lender or a bank, quicken loans doesn't care about their customers,they only care about $$
Quicken Loans was great to work withThey were quick and efficientIf I had any questions throughout the process it was easy to get ahold of them and I got an answer easily within a few hours if not soonerThe process was streamlined which was greatI will use Quicken Loans again for my future needs
