Just had to pass this FH Furr story to everyone. A service man from FH Furr HVAC department comes to look at my furnace. AC blower not working. He tells my son that the circuit board is bad ($1200+) and he has to replace that before he can see if the blower motor ($900+) is bad . Almost $2200 it would have cost me. My son sent him packing. I call Shanahan. His guy says circuit boards never go bad and takes the blower motor out. Capacitor fried. He replaces it BINGO! Everything is fine now. The circuit board WAS NOT BAD. Cost to Me $1074. If I had FH Furr do the work I wound have paid for a new circuit board when I didn't need one. How did their guy determine the circuit board was bad when he told my son it was bad? .

Technician was prompt and professional.

I am rejecting this response because: it looks like a very interesting invoice, with my signature on the 2nd page.  At NO TIME did "Jimmy" talk about replacing the heater and while I said I didn't receive an email - I know what was on it and know what I signed for - and a new 50 gallon water heater was not on it.  It's also of interest that nothing was mentioned in F.H. Furr's 1st reply to my complaint about a new water heater until NOW...wow.  This invoice basically says the other plumber was right to say the other service should not have been advised or done as it is a standard business practice to just replace the tank after 10 years.  Holy cow.  Had they done it I would have surely authorized the work - which I did when[redacted] came to the home, reviewed the work and recommended the new 50 gal. heater.   I don't think too many folks would allow a company to continue work if the failed to do what was asked in the first place, which was to provide hot water.  According to the new plumber from [redacted] the work done by Furr was fine - they just didn't FIX the underlying problem of the heater for the long-term (3 days isn't even short-term), which would have been about an additional $600 (to repair the nipples) if I had called Furr again.  I can see it now: "Well, sir, it looks like this is a new problem." Then finally, " Why don't you just get a new one?"  
I can provide the receipt from [redacted] showing the installation of the new water heater 3 over weeks ago, but, I'm not going to involve the other plumber or the business, unless Furr agreed to a refund upon receipt of this invoice first.  Creating some sort of animosity between professionals or companies is not my objective and not worth the money.  The did a good job and deserve no headaches.   I'm done talking.  That invoice is just too amusing.  The claim remains open and I will not respond to any further contact with F.H. Furr unless it's a refund.

Mr. B[redacted] did a terrific job - he is highly professional, and gave me plenty of information about the process and results of the job. I particularly appreciated Mr. B[redacted] discovery of a serious problem with my aging water heater, and his assistance in scheduling a plumber for the next day. That's above and beyond the HVAC maintenance check Mr. B[redacted] was here to perform, and so much appreciated!

Juan B. was the tech for our annual AC check this season. Received courtesy call prior to arrival on a Mon. morning. Arrived promptly, very courteous & efficient. Would highly recommend Juan for assistance with your HVAC system.

Wonderful experience - Jonathan was superb. Explained everything fully and carefully and was just as nice as he could be. I have dealt with FH Furr in the past, and have always had a great experience with them. They are truly a professional business!

Jimmy C[redacted] was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Excellent overall service!

Chase was great...he installed our new disposal unit with no problems and even had to reroute some pipes. This is the second time Chase has come to our home and provide excellent service....he is helpful, respectful, is happy on the job and has a great personality... I am glad we have him for our plumber.

F.H. Furr Comfort Technician Jimmy C[redacted] was most efficient in his recent annual inspection of our heating unit. He was on-time, took the time to explain what he was doing and how it applied to the well being of our system. I can readily recommend both him and the FH Furr company to others.

Very professional and friendly. I appreciated the heads up call before he arrived.

Very Happy with the service to replace my Water Heater and other parts. Trevor was very pleasant and I also learned quite a bit. They aren't the cheapest provider around but the service makes up for it.

F H Furr came to my house today to perform our 6 month inspection of the furnace and AC unit. Lorenzo Lane was the technician assigned. To start, he arrived when the operator scheduled my appointment. Lorenzo was a very knowledgeable technician and answered my questions as he inspected our heating unit. I was very pleased with him.
I am very pleased with the way FH Furr keeps their clients informed during this process.

Drew M[redacted] came in a timely manner on a very bitter cold day. I had no heat in the house. He was friendly, professional and quick to find the problem and repair it. I highly recommend this company and Drew to anyone that has issues with this equipment.

My experience with Furr has been very positive. We were fortunate to have Lucas as our first point of contact. Although he is basically in Sales and Services, he actually came to the house after the blizzard and shoveled snow and ice for 2 hours so that the technicians could access the HVAC! Unbelievable. Our tech guys were Mo and Percy. They were very thorough and polite, neat and fun to be around. This was a very time consuming job, but they were great throughout the work days. Had an easy HVAC maintenance visit today. The technician was very friendly. I appreciate that FH Furr will call you for a heads up like 30 min before the tech. is available so you don't have to wait around all day.

Good job on a difficult upgrade of existing wiring.

Tom L[redacted] did our semiannual HVAC sytem check today.
He did a fantastic job -- very thorough and he explained everything.
Doesn't get better than Tom!

Technician Paul R[redacted] and trainee Suras came to my home to do the yearly heating unit inspection. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job. They were very efficient and completed the job in a very reasonable time. I am very happy about the service and hope these professionals will be sent to my home the next time.
